Goodness, little T has been asleep all day! Woke her up for a lunchtime feed but that's about it. Just considering waking her up for a change and feed before I sort out dinner.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/02/2013 16:22

Argh what a day I haven't even had lunch yet!

Ds is 12 weeks today and now weighs 11lb10Grin

He had his jabs and cried lots but magic boob fixed him.

Dd fell over at nursery twice and bumped her head in the same place both times.

And I appear to have my period how unfair is that?? Ds feeds every two hours!!

Great news hales Smile

HoneyMumandSon · 18/02/2013 16:42

Thanks all for responses about employment law - DH's work us being really unfair at the min so just checking out the ins abd outs if law to see where he stands. Thanks utopian will pm you wgen I get on computer.

spotty don't think you can have a smear if on your period. I've never had one (bad girl, I know, I need to get round to it but find it hard as am good mates with my practice nurse)

HoneyMumandSon · 18/02/2013 17:34

My current diet consists almost exclusively of hobnobs. Confused is this bad?

SpottyTeacakes · 18/02/2013 17:36

Mmm hobnobs! I've eaten two slices of toast with marmite, a couple of breakfast biscuits and half a chocolate orange today Confused

Thank re the smear I've left a message for my nurse to call me

OP posts:
HoneyMumandSon · 18/02/2013 17:44

I've discovered both hobnob creams and hobnob cookies. They are so good (which is bad)

MaMaPo · 18/02/2013 17:58

Spotty, I don't think you can get the smear done with the period - my last smear (prior to pregnancy) didn't work as I had some breakthrough bleeding (unknown to me) due to taking the pill slightly late. But thanks for reminds me- I need to go. And Honey! get yourself seen to!

Spotty glad your baby is OK after jabs - C was a right terror for about 10 hours afterwards, but perked up fine. She has her BCG next week.

Hales - hooray! Pmgkt - fx for you.

A tough day today - C has turned into a much more smiley, active baby when awake, but a much more screamy baby when sleepy. No chance of her putting herself to sleep during the day (though she can do it a little bit at night) and I can't even put her down once she's asleep for her nap. I find it draining and exhausting, listening to her cry - kudos to those of you who have colicky babies and have dealt with this for weeks. There's quite a cry-ey baby at the massage afternoon I go to, and his mum manages him with such grace and good nature - puts grumpy impatient MaMaPo to absolute shame. Blush

Steak for dinner tonight! Were supposed to have people over but they've cancelled, so I guess we'd better eat it.

Little C is finally an Australian citizen!

HoneyMumandSon · 18/02/2013 18:28

I know I know...

D had an awful poo yesterday after his formula on Saturday. He had a bottle yesterday too as hasn't pooed yet. He normally goes 6-8 times a day. I'm dreading the next one...

PurplePidjin · 18/02/2013 18:30

I can't have chocolate it gives R colic :( all caffeine does

pmgkt · 18/02/2013 18:33

After I posted ds1 woke from a 4 hour sleep, crying painfully, not wanting to walk and just wanted to lie down. Even cuddles hurt. So I rang doctors back to get details of when I might get a call and details of walk in centre. I was told that it would be at least 2hours till call back and take to a&e if concerned. So we did. He was still bad took they loaded him up with maximum paracetamol then he perked up a bit. Then seen. Rash is also a viral rash, but he has tonsilitous so now got antibiotic. You can tell he is starting to flag again so off to bed he goes. Thanks for your concern though.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/02/2013 18:48

Argh dd's friend has chicken pox. They were together all day today and she was rocking ds's car seat Sad

Pmgkt hope your ds feels better soon

pmgkt · 18/02/2013 18:52

Oh dear spotty spots really are coming your way!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/02/2013 18:59

I hope ds doesn't get it Sad

EggsMichelle · 18/02/2013 19:49

Spotty he can't get much more grouchy and atleast he is too young to scratch them. Pmgkt you can keep him dosed up with paracetamol which is good.

Forgot to pack F his gripe water when he went to IL's at weekend, he is very difficult to burp now but he isn't mardy so all good for now!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/02/2013 21:14

Ds's first night in a cot tonight, wish me luck!

OP posts:
EggsMichelle · 18/02/2013 21:25

Good luck Spotty! DS is getting dangerously close to the top of his Moses basket, Ewan the Sheep has had to move out of the basket, there is no room bed sharing!

DS is currently sleeping in 3-6m vest and sleep suit and size 3 nappies, he is so grown up!

WLmum · 18/02/2013 21:42

Poor big baby pmgkt, so horrid when they feel so rotten.

spotty ds should have some immunity from you as you are feeding him. Dd2 got it when I was still feeding her at 7 months but obviously she was weaning too so not so much from me. Fx he escapes, but it's a 3 week incubation period so you'll need to watch for a while yet.

WLmum · 18/02/2013 22:24

Woo-hoo! Managed a 9.30ish bedtime for T tonight, after a couple of attempts final settling was by patting and stroking in the cot and not on the boob. I actually sat downstairs with DH without dd for half an hour! I kind of loved it, kind of hated it! I want a proper bedtime for her blah blah but but but my baby! She's my last so I'll never have baby evenings again etc etc (except that this was probably a one off and we'll be back to 11.30 tomorrow night!)

utopian99 · 18/02/2013 22:28

O's been having a fussy evening, taken by DH for daddy bouncing and asleep in 5 minutes!

halesball · 18/02/2013 22:51

Pgmkt, sorry your LO is poorly.

Spotty FX your DC's don't get chicken pox

Stacks · 18/02/2013 23:07

Sorry to hear about all the illnesses. T has been illness free for his whole 8 weeks, however we stayed over with the in laws last night and FIL has a cough. Also we have jabs tomorrow, not lookig forward to it and really hoping T doesn't get too grouchy after.

HoneyMumandSon · 19/02/2013 01:18

All quiet on the western front... Hope this means some of you and your babies are sleeping.

pmgkt · 19/02/2013 01:24

We have done 7-1 that's 6 hours! In his cot too. Now in Moses basket in our room for the rest of the night to save me too many trips if he won't settle.

IsThatTrue · 19/02/2013 01:47

pmgkt :) I hope his rash is ok

Well DS is back to 2.5 hrs :( he's 10 weeks though so I think it's a growth spurt. He's showing signs of being ready for a real bedtime now. (Goes down at 6/7 in his Moses and only really wakes for feeding from then). I'm already missing my sleepy cuddles as he now much prefers to go down in his bed awake! Why do they have to grow up quite so quickly?
