The new series on Sky 'The Following' is worth watching.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 19:21

Bloody Hell detective how scary.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 19:23

Ooo, I kept meaning to say earlier, does anyone else have random moments when they are reminded that LO is still a tiny baby? I have periods of time when I have spent so much time with P just chatting to her like a big person than when she suddenly cries I get a real surprise. It happened yesterday after her bath. She was straining to sit up so I was helping her over and over again. When I had to make her lie down to be dressed she had a proper hissy fit and it really surprised me. I think sometimes we just get so tuned in to what is going on and other times they are like an alien species

zcos · 24/01/2013 19:24

yeah ... hair trigger fear of soreness really will be like a teen again Grin

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 19:24

PP DS is in a pre-fold. Fits better now he is bigger. Real sleek like actually.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 19:25

zcos you have a point there Grin

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 19:25

After the talk earlier today, I am now Confused. Think I will just avoid the whole getting petrol thing, etc. Eeek.

Apparently the dad was stood by the car talking, and the thief bastard just crept in and drove away - keys must have been in ignition or on seat or something.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 19:26

Yup Zcos! Get really drunk on martini and lemonade first before shagging while trying to stop the room from spinning. Pretty much there

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 19:31

Holy shit detective that's awful.

Weird. In the last week one 15 year old girl was found dead (an hour after she left the house she was found lying at the side of the motorway) and a student has been missing for days. The town and campus are crawling with police which is most unusual. I got quite upset earlier thinking of their parents and which one was worse - life is normal then bang or days and days of not knowing.

VQ I did blush a bit typing that I have a period tracker. I don't like surprises!!

Brockle · 24/01/2013 19:32

my boys seem to coincide with coldplay albums. DS1 is X&Y, Fix You. DS2 was Viva la Vida and DS3 mylo Zyloto Paradise although he was born to Empire State of Mind.

Sloping back off now.....

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:38

Flipping heck I leave for one teeny breakdown and 4 pages happen

Hang on..... (Settles down to read)

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:42

Thanks bigpig decided to get up when they're canonballs and have a go. Shame cos I'm exhausted and LO does actually sleep well at night so not needed to day nap. Mind you other half is so freaked out by how upset I am he may just take littlun and let me sleep this weekend.

Pondering custard now....

BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2013 19:43

I go for a bath and 40 posts later...by eck!
Another evening of screams Sad

I leave LO in the car (locked) when I return the trolley at the supermarket. She's usually fairly hysterical at being put in her car seat so I figure that's a good enough burglar deterrant.

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:48

passthecrisps I'm hoping I find out the sing as I catch up the thread

We always sung 'home' by Edward sharpe and the magnetic zeroes. It's me and my partners song but I suits our family so well. We had quite a ride to get her and sometimes just catching each others eye in a moment reassures me I found my home

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:50

Oh detective I got quite emotional reading that.

Not that I've not already had an emotional day....!

kissyfur · 24/01/2013 19:50

This is going to sound like a strange question, but do any of you BF mums get a strange feeling at let down? The closest thing i can compare it to is like a craving feeling? It's not very nice but goes away quickly, most odd!

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:53

Jesus glenda that was the laugh I needed. Gangnam style of gas and air? (Dries tears of laughter)

Dreadful confession: I sing a bastardised version of cheeky girls to my daughter. Ahem

GTbaby · 24/01/2013 19:56

Argh det. Scary after petrol station chat!

VQ I watched it other day n parts of it had me hiding behind my hands. Got it on series link :)

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 19:57

kissy yeah. I crave chocolate. Hang on, that is a permanent thing!

katie I was thinking how sweet, then you mention the cheeky girls!

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 19:58

I thought you might GT how are you getting on with Dexter? I luvs Dexter.

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 19:59

vq as I only know the first line.... It's a fairly short lived singing session thankfully.

GTbaby · 24/01/2013 19:59

Did someone say custard. Omg major custard craving under way.

I had jam rollypolly and custard the night before I went into hospital to be induced.

KatieLily12 · 24/01/2013 20:00

passme my period tracker is still diligently counting days since my last period. You think at some point it would scream at you: 'have you a baby or something?????'

BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2013 20:01

kissy I just get a bit emotional sometimes on letdown at least thats my excuse

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 20:02

Aw katie that's lovely.

Ok. When p is fighting with the bottle, stuffing the muslin in her mouth, generally being a fuss I sing

Put it in your mouth
Your mutha fuckin mouth

Which is a refrain from a rap song dear to my DH. He was delighted when he learned I was singing this to her. Obviously the 'it' is not a bottle teat
