The answer to the sleeping though question was a chorus of "no"s but there were a few resounding yesses and a lot more keeping quiet because the rest of us would be well jel.

Woke at 8. Thank god. Coz no one else did!! I'm feeding while DS runs round like a headless chicken getting ready for school.

Will get up once this feed has finished. Looks like someone has other ideas though... Hmm but it's tough. We have to pick DP up from the garage after he drops his car off to be looked at for fucking expensive repairs.

Why am I still so tired?! Me no understand!! :(

FuriousRox · 17/01/2013 08:31

With dd I worked out the swimming cost £1 per minute!! Slightly spoilt my enjoyment of it, but dd absolutely loved it. There was another place doing classes at half the cost but twice the class size. We didn't wait till all jabs done.

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 08:34

You can take them any time now Sophia.

Once the bleeding fecks off!

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 08:42

Morning everyone. Welcome furious

We almost had an escapee baby this morning. Usually for about an hour before she actually wakes P makes grunting noises and generally huffs and snuffles. This morning was no different other than one cry out which was followed by normal snuffles so I didn't check. When we got up she wa lying right down the bottom of the Moses basket with her legs hanging over the bottom! She was still asleep so I stood and watched her wiggle herself further and further down. Not sure how we are going to resolve that issue. She might need to go into her cotbed sooner than we thought.

StuntNun · 17/01/2013 08:44

I've been getting better sleep lately Detective with J sleeping between feeds and me dozing off in the middle of them but I'm more tired than ever. I think it must be a combination of the cumulative sleep debt plus the body demanding more of the improved sleep please.

I agree stunt. I also think we are more forgiving of ourselves when we are barely surviving on 2 hours sleep.

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 17/01/2013 08:48

I didn't read the link either, I'm a worrier too lane! No need to apologise tho Smile petite thanks for checking the NHS website, I will stop worrying now.

Welcome furious

PetiteRaleuse · 17/01/2013 08:54

We have to wait til final jabs are done over here AND have a Dr's note to do the baby swim sessions (150? per year for max of two sessions per week) but we can go any time on our own and under threes go for free...

DD1 loved the pool. Hope LO likes it too, I am quite obsessive about children learning to swim as it is a real skill which might save their life one day.

Just went outside with wet hair to pop sth in the bin and my hair froze. It always amuses me

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 08:54

Glad to know I'm not alone then stunt!!

pass woke up to the exact same thing yesterday morning!!! How funny! I just laughed at him and took pictures Blush.

PetiteRaleuse · 17/01/2013 08:55

Ooh, anyone else's baby spit up more when they're due a poo? LO has been trying to do a poo all morning and spit up quite a bit of milk. I remember DD1 doing that too.

katkit1 · 17/01/2013 09:06

Hi furious.

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 09:08

I'll have to observe that one PR! I hadn't noticed! He poos twice a day sometimes 3? I don't notice a routine to his poo habits yet!

katkit1 · 17/01/2013 09:10

Gave up on Moses basket a while ago. Alex is so fat that it tilted to one side when he was in it.

Passmethecrisps · 17/01/2013 09:16

katkit where does you LO sleep?

Brockle · 17/01/2013 09:23

wow Y slept from 9 until 5 .... but DS2 woke up with a fever at 2 and then talked constantly until 7. So tired and food shopping delayed as stuck at home with said sick child Sad It is going to be a long day. hello purple and furious Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 17/01/2013 09:24

Morning all! Welcome to the newbies

Chunky the baths only happen because I give DH about 4 hours warning, and they usually happen to be timed when he is having a shave so would be in the bathroom anyway. Last nights didn?t go all that smoothly as DH broke the sink Hmm, cue much swearing and hitting the tap (surprisingly that didn?t fix it?). The temperature of the water is an issue though, especially at the moment as the air temperature is about minus 5 inside not warm.

Pass little pig frequently wakes having removed all her blankets (including the swaddle one) and with a leg poking out between the bars of her crib, don't know how she does it.

Little pig is having her tongue tie sorted today, am trying not to think about it too much (mainly because it makes me a bit squeamish) but am almost certain I?ll be a blubbering wreck. The poor girl seems to have a cold as well, so is feeding like a trooper ?-at least attempting to In other news, a good friend is coming to see ?-the baby me today so looks like I?ll finally be able to wash my hair Smile

Good luck today detective Thanks

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 17/01/2013 09:35

Morning everyone, welcome furious.

We had the best night we've had in ages. She slept from 10pm-3.45, so why do I still feel so knackered? The 6 week growth spurt seems to have messed up my supply, I now have far too much milk and B is sick after every feed. She literally only needs to feed for 3 mins, any more than that and it all comes back up Hmm

Oh that's a shame sophia. They're in donaghadee. We'll be driving over later in the year but just flying this time.

We need to leave the house in half an hour for baby yoga. Neither of us are dressed and M has decided to have a massive feedathon. This isnt going to end in us being on time is it?Confused

katkit1 · 17/01/2013 10:12

Hi pass, at night he sleeps in his cot. During the day he cat naps here and there either on me or on his play mat.

StuntNun · 17/01/2013 10:15

That's my neck of the woods MM, only 30 miles from here.

J has a huge red patch on his leg around one injection site poor thing. He's asleep now so I'm desperately trying to tidy up my wreck of a house. In between tidying up and MNing I've been watching Magic Mike. Oh yeah, there's some talent there. I have to cover J's eyes during the stripping scenes!

Welcome furious :) as expected last nights sleep was nothing like we usually get! LO spent all night wriggling and being too cold then too warm then trumping and grunting and losing his dummy etc. I'm sure I saw every half hour until his feed at 7am! He hasn't done a poo for over a day and didn't bring up any wind at all last night and seems fussy this morning.

Hope j's leg is ok stunt

CandyPop · 17/01/2013 10:44

morning all! Wow what a difference a goodnight sleep makes! when I say goodnight, nothing like some of you guys but she slept from 11 to 3am , straight down after feed then woke at 6.30am .

We're also planning to go to Florida in may! Mil and her partner have a holiday home out there that we can use for free, mil and partner will be coming as well which I'm really happy with as I get on with her really well plus it's free babysitting

We started to use sleeping bag and I do think it makes a big difference in the transfer to cot after feed. Wanted to ask you ladies who use sleeping bags- the guild line for tog 2.5 at temp 18c is vest top and sleeping bag. However I don't think that's warm enough so she also wears a babygrow. She doesn't feel hot when I get her up for a feed.

LO is now nearly 10 weeks old. I still think she sleeps more thn she is awake :/ should I be worried?

PetiteRaleuse · 17/01/2013 10:47

She'll sleep more than she's awake for a good while yet. Dd1 is almost two and sleeps at least 12 hours a day including her siesta. Sleep is gooood.

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 10:49

Thanks for the good luck ladies! Appt is this afternoon. I don't know what I am even hoping for from this appt. I'm secretly desperately worried about the fact that if it does need repairing (pretty damn likely) that I won't be able to return to work as they won't do it before 6 months and I can't function walking dashing up and down the wards. It's just too uncomfortable. As for sitting on regular chairs. Forget it :(

I have no idea how the NHS will treat me in terms of sick pay if I can't return. I would imagine I'll be fucked over in that I'd be entitled to full pay, but that would not include unsocial enhancements which make up almost a quarter of my pay usually. I cant afford this loss. I just don't have the means to pay the bills AND eat. I can swallow a certain loss, but not a quarter of my wage. If I could I wouldn't if had to have worked til I was almost collapsing at the end of pregnancy when I should have been on annual leave!

Of course if my dad would like to cough up to allow his daughter to stop having sleepless nights of worry then you know, that could be good. Hmm Twat
