Ow ow ow nipples taking a bashing. Think one might be bleeding slightly as sick v slightly pink. Why does this happen when the nearest breastfeeding groups are on monday and tuesdays?! Depending on how painful it gets overnight, may have to seek out the further ones tomorrow!

Congrats Pasties!! What a lovely name too. I hope you and yours are well.

Am in the night time cluster feed club Confused.

Went out for first 20 min short walk today with James, DP and my mum. I amused myself at how much DP and I fought over who's turn it was to push the pram Grin Bear.

Congrats lheart. That is a lovely name. SDoes. it have a meaning?
Baby H is refusing to go in his cot. l have decided it is easiest to just go with it and assume l will have no sleep Sad

Congratulations iheart!

Second feed of the night here for me but no sleep for anyone in the house inbetween as DS1 has been up and crying since about 4am. He's still unwell and has not been sleeping properly for over a week now. I am at my wits end if I'm honest as he normally sleeps so well, I just can't believe the timing of his illness!

Cluster fed from 11 to 3.45. Now up again for next feed so had about 2.5 hrs sleep. Feel like a zombie!

I had a 2nd degree tear and last night for first time felt them pulling and stingy when I sit or change position in bed. How is everyone else coping with tears healing.? I will get MW to check today they haven't burst or anything. Envy

Debussy when I had DS2 one of my stitches became uncomfortable and too tight so the midwife took that one out and left the rest in. Do you have anything you can put on your stitches to sooth them?

Thanks for the replies ladies, it's nice just to vent and write it down I couldn't put into words to dh why I felt so upset (hormones really don't help!)

After expressing small amounts and trying her again and again she latched on this morning hurray! Just to keep on going and express if they get too full because that's when we have troubles.

When does the evening cluster feeding start to ease off? I can't remember any of my others being this bad, we are none stop feeding between 21:00 & 03:00 ish, and if he has a break he will only sleep on one of us.

Daytime, model child, and we have even had some decent awake times.

sophia DS eased off about night 10, then cluster fed again at two weeks. No clear pattern to things now, but my girls slept through from 6 and 7 weeks, so think that is when the cluster feeds properly stopped with them. It is all hormonal. The milk hormone is strongest at night, that is why all babies turn day into night. It is not something we have done wrong or can change. Not that my mum will accept that.

Had 2 hours sleep last night due to his cold waking him frequently. He slept a bit in his Moses basket. I wrapped him in my dressing gown to feed him, and laid him in on that so warm and mummy smelling. 30minutes. Still better than nowt. Gonna sleep today hopefully. I am truly shattered.

DH did not want to get up this morning. Had a sore head (beer) and all he did was wash up. He is obsessed with washing up. All he needed was two bowls and spoons for the girls, but once he starts he has to do it all. Sure there was a lot, as he was at work until late and DD did not settle so I had both younger kids screaming with me trying to settle them both. Perhaps if he went to bed earlier, and did not drink beer, or did the fecking washing up last night? I would happily divorce him today.

Sorry to hear it VQ. I now feel quite bad for being snarky at my DH for putting too much milk in my tea this morning.

We had another difficult night but in breaking news, L just slept in his cot for about an hr.

Hello pasties, good to see you and lovely name, congratulations!

Just made an appointment for the doctors this afternoon. My incision appears to have gorn manky, probably as a result of the amount of sitting I have to do while feeding twins together. It means my stomach skin overhangs and it gets sweaty (sorry, tmi) and as I don't get an opportunity to bathe as often as I would like, it's looking angry and smelly :( I'm pretty distressed about it, but on the plus side, eldest dc and dh have volunteered to make more of an effort to have the babies daily while I sit in a salt bath for 15 mins. Feel like strapping my stomach skin out of the way would help- does anyone else do that, and what do you use to do it?

Well DS finally conked out at 5am and we've just woken him up. He slept in a reclining chair as easiest way to get him slightly upright (seeing as he refuses his crib during the night). Funnily enough DD also spent the first few weeks of her life happiest in the same chair!

DH DD is the same, desperate to touch and talk to DS all the time. Trying not to make him too precious but sometimes I wish she'd realise he doesn't want to be prodded!
