Such sad news Kitty xx

chillikat · 15/01/2013 15:16

Sorry to hear that Kitty :(

chillikat · 15/01/2013 15:24

Kitty I'm about to go and try out your chocolate cake mug recipe, because I can't be bothered making a full size cake (would take too long!).
Wish me luck. Will report back :)

chillikat · 15/01/2013 15:55

'Tis genuis Grin a huge chunk of cake, though. I've cut a slice off for M's snack when she wakes up. Oh dear I can see this being made on a regular basis.

GlaikitFizzog · 15/01/2013 15:56

CHilli can you post the recipe again. I will save it this time!

Kittycatcat · 15/01/2013 15:58

Here it is:
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

a small splash of vanilla extract

1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

You are going to print this out straight away, aren't you?

chillikat · 15/01/2013 16:21

I hunted through the thread for it. Definitely worthwhile. Page 8 :)

GlaikitFizzog · 15/01/2013 17:07

Yes I am on my new fandangled wireless printer!

That is gooooooooood :o

Dh is eyeing me suspiciously! He ain't getting any!

Kittycatcat · 15/01/2013 19:35

Hehe

We've got that this week

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 15/01/2013 22:16

Well, F is COVERED in spots and is not sleeping.

But, this evening he said "poo, potty", which is an association we've been working on, but only sat him on the potty clothed so far, and this time I assumed it to be a bed delaying tactic. But he did poo on the toilet!

Of course, now he's still banging on about the potty despite being desperately tired.

My question is: would switching to pull-ups be good to facilitate swift strips to reinforce the connection between sensation-request-action? Are they as absorbent as nappies? (I'm looking at tesco pull-ups in comparison to Tesco nappies, each about 15p each).

I think we'll have to stop with the popper vests too.

Or is this all like the time let Easter when he took 3 steps ans then nothing for another 2 months?!

Kittycatcat · 15/01/2013 23:57

Poor F and yay to poo in the loo

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 16/01/2013 01:31

I shall call it "Poxsomnia" the inability of a pox-ridden toddler to sleep for more than a 20 minute maximum, more often 5 minutes at a time.

Me & F have decamped to the sofa bed in the lounge, leaving DH to sleep. Well, I'm in the sofa bed, F's running laps of the room, but it's an improvement on the hysterics we were having earlier.

Kittycatcat · 16/01/2013 09:17

I symapthise. Double sleep regression last night. S woke repeatedly crying. A back in my bed last two nights. I think A is teething.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/01/2013 11:24

UBW - does F have spots on his bum and groin? Nappies can irritate them and I have friends who dc decided to potty train when they had Chicken pox because their nappies hurt. Just an idea.....

Plus did you get liquid Piriton? On some children it also has a sedative affect, but others (small majority) it can make them hyper.

Must be something in the air, ds3 woke up at stupid o'clock today.

I had the first part of my root canal work today. It was actually ok, although I could still feel myself tensing my whole body while she was working on me. Part 2 next week, but it's just filling the hole she made today. Gawd I hate the dentist.

Oh, ds3 has a new word. iPad Shock Blush

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 16/01/2013 12:41

Yours sounds worse, Kitty!

ILTMI yep, horrible angry looking ones in his crack and round his groin. I can't decide whether cloth or disposable would be more comfortable. (We're running out of disposables, so there's the decision made!)

Not tried pririton, hopefully DH will pick some up on his way home.

We managed to have a 2 hour nap this morning. I feel so much better!

Kittycatcat · 16/01/2013 12:45

Suspect s is teething too. Awful nappies and pretty sure I saw more teeth when he screamed at me hanging his nappy. Confused

GlaikitFizzog · 16/01/2013 16:55

Ok, this has to be the third car related thing to happen to us. DHs car slid out of its parking space last night, slid all the way across the car park, up the kerb and bashed into the neighbours brand new 4x4 monster thing. They thought last night there was no damage, but just got home to a note saying she's noticed a crack in the bumper this morning. There goes our no claims bonus :(

I could weep. 2013 is turning out to be shitty already. Sorry for the whinge.

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 16/01/2013 17:03

Fizz, ask them to get a quote to replace it first. It might be something you can pay for yourself and not go to insurers about.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking the whole year will be filled with terrible things. "Luck" is a self-fulfilling prophesy, try to put this down to random chance and plan a lovely year in spite of this.

If it helps, (and it won't!) our car is still in Reading. It's been off to another diesels specialist, then sent back to the original garage in pieces after they checked the electrics. It now has to have its ecu sent off to another place. So we still don't even know what's wrong with it, or when it will be ready. Only plus side is he's taken the extremely expensive part they thought it was back out and are hoping to return it so we can save a fortune on that (to put towards the rest of it).

I will remain positive. I will remain positive. I will remain positive. Etc.

Kittycatcat · 16/01/2013 17:03

Oh fizz that's shit Angrybig hugs

GlaikitFizzog · 16/01/2013 17:24

You are right UbW, I will try to think positively!

I doubt it will be cheaper to just pay its a porche 4x4! We were only a year off protecting our NCB. I'll ask them, but I get the feeling they won't be up for it

Anyway, I'm off out tonight for pizza with a friend. She has "news" apparently! She PG, I know it. Her Ds is a day younger than B.
