My nan has bought s a table chair combo. I have no idea where I will put everything!

Kittycatcat · 09/11/2012 08:16

Omg I want the chesterfield for me!

Ion I can't believe I didn't notice my webbed toes. It's obvious now Confused

Starshaped · 09/11/2012 13:13

Hello Cycle

That is very swanky Fizz. I'm afraid that P's chair is like a deckchair in comparison!

GlaikitFizzog · 09/11/2012 13:24

Is it one of the poang chairs fro. Ikea? Because that's what I was honking of getting him until Laurence Llewelyn Bowen my mother decided to get him one.

I have a adult sized poang and it is very comfy. Would sit in it all the time if I could!

GlaikitFizzog · 09/11/2012 13:25

Honking?? Thinking

Starshaped · 09/11/2012 14:12

That's the one. The baby version has been a big hit chez Star!

chillikat · 09/11/2012 14:20

That's quite a chair, and a price - I got M a £40 from Dunelm. She loves it.

Hi cycle - long time no see. How's H?

I'm thinking of some Happyland for Christmas. I've also been looking at this Latches Board but what we really need is a switches board - she's obsessed with light switches at the moment.

GlaikitFizzog · 09/11/2012 16:18

The one mum was after was black leather and £50 but looked like hat one. Was from a local furniture place!

Kittycatcat · 10/11/2012 08:06

God. I lost it last night. Dh was out so I took the boys to a friends for dinner. S had a meltdown there simply because he wanted more yet there was still food on his plate. Couple more mini strops. He hadn't had much of a nap in the day, bout 40 mins I guess. Then Alex wouldn't settle after his feed. I was building with rage. Smacked my phone off my forehead. . He just dozed off in the end and I put him to bed. He woke for his two hourly feed. An hour later (must have dozed off) I put him down. Success. But then S woke howling and I just couldn't face it. Dh was home, had been since 1. I put s' music in but it didn't do the trick so I went In and he asked for a cuddle. Gave him a cuddle and explained it was still night time and put him back to bed. Straight away screaming worse than before. So I stomped off and got the nurofen. Cuddled. Bed. Screamed worse than before. I sent Dh in. I was wild by then. I just couldn't handle it. I wanted to scream at S and I couldn't bring myself to try to placate him. I came to bed and punched the crap out of my pillows and cried. By now A had been disturbed and I had to resettle him. Dh calmed s and came back to a sobbing me. He was great to be fair. Said I'm doing great and it'll be hard at times and I'm a great mummy. But I just don't think I am. I think I'm an impatient short tempered shouty mummy and I really don't want to be. I'm not like it all the time.
I hope S is ok today cos we have lots on. Scottish relatives are at the inlaws and we are visiting them on the way to see my bro for his 30th. I wonder if A caught S' bug cos he's pood loads.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 10/11/2012 08:47

If it makes you feel any better Kitty, I have punched a few pillows in (child specific) frustration. It has also been during the night. I don't deal with sleep deprivation very well, I turn into a grumpy shouty bitch from hell. It doesn't make you a bad mum, it makes you human.

I love the silver Chesterfield. Dh had a red and battered Chesterfield when we first got together. I hated it (it was during my beige, minimalist, decorative twigs and pebble shite phase) and he got rid of it. I could now weep, it would look great in our house. Of course I haven't admitted this to him .....

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts on Wednesday. It was shite, but it's going to be isn't it? But now we've got past the anniversary I feel like I can now start to enjoy and engage with the season.

We've got the Melissa & Doug latches board for I, and relatives have got him some Happylands. I also got him the most fab Little Tikes dolls house from a FB selling page. It is 23yo and is fab. Very sturdy and has lots of furniture with it. I can't wait Grin

Tis lovely to see you

Cyclebump · 10/11/2012 21:32

H is lovely, gorgeous and babbly with new words coming all the time.

Being chair of the parent group is a tad stressful, hence my absence.

I'm sure you're doing fine Kitty, sounds like you'd just hit the wall. I HATE being massively overtired and dealing with a whingey baby, it sucks. At least you punched pillows, I once punched a wall, ouch!

Daisy17 · 11/11/2012 22:02

Just to say to Kitty, just saw your photos on FB, looks like you all had a gorgeous day and you look beautiful. So you must be doing a great job, really. :) Go easy on yourself, it's all so hard....

Kittycatcat · 11/11/2012 22:21

Awh thanks everyone. It's been a lovely weekend. Got what felt like a decent sleep eventually last night. A didn't sleep til 1 ish but didn't wake again til 630 (in my bed).

MrsWajs · 12/11/2012 16:42

Agree with what ILTMI said Kitty the night times were the absolute worst for me when R was little, I just seemed to become an absolute horror through lack of sleep. It will pass soon.

My mum is also buying R an armchair for christmas fizz it's most probably the same one as chili has as it's from dunelm. She'll love it as she's obsessed with seats - mainly ones she's not supposed to be sitting on, like the dining room chairs!!

We have got her a little tykes crazy coupe car and an elc play kitchen. All for the bargainous price of £66! £20 off the kitchen and £20 off the car! Very chuffed with myself and my bargain hunting skills. DP wants to get her a little quad bike Hmm I said no. DSS wants bunk beds(!) which is fine but will set us back at least £400 and we wil need to get him a few other little things so he has stuff to open on christmas morning, so there goes my "let's do christmas on a budget" plan!!

GlaikitFizzog · 12/11/2012 16:51

My sister has scrapped the drum kit idea and has bought my suggestion of the cleaning trolley kitty linked to earlier!

I know it isn't my money and they can buy whatever they like, but it really bothers me that they are going to spend £100 on a chair, when one from ikea is a fifth of the price. How do I get them round to my way of thinking without casing offence?

Kittycatcat · 12/11/2012 17:25

fizz could u suggest you'd be as happy with one that matches hours and perhaps they could buy 'much needed' clothes with the saving Wink

MrsWajs · 12/11/2012 19:45

Oh I almost forgot earlier, R has started potty training herself!!!! 4 times in the last week she has told me she needed a poo and has reliably done one on the potty for me!! It's too soon surely??!??! I'm really not in the zone yet....

Kittycatcat · 12/11/2012 20:37

Wowzers that's impressive mrsw

GlaikitFizzog · 12/11/2012 20:39

B is still at the peeing indiscreetly whenever his nappy is off! Well done R!

MrsWajs · 12/11/2012 21:00

Pee's are a totally different story fizz! She'll squeeze a drop out if the potty's there but after 5 minutes and her attention wanders there's usually a puddle to clean up!! I think she's just started to dislike the sensation of pooing and so she doesn't want to do it in the nappy?! I really have no idea but I guess it's a step in the right direction whether I'm ready or not!!

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 12/11/2012 21:21

O.M.G. We're not starting the potty training stage yet are we?!

Having said that, over the last few weeks we've been saying to F "are you having a poo?" and when he says yes, we say "would you like to sit on the potty?" And then sit him on it (still nappied & clothed) with his biscuit, or whatever. He's now got to the point of saying "potty?" When he's having a poo.

Although not in advance enough to be of use, but hopefully it's a nice preliminary step. We're not planning on doing much more tillnp next summer.

GlaikitFizzog · 12/11/2012 21:42

Secret Santa 2012

to be involved in the Secret Santa, send me a message with your address, mn & baby name (because I sometimes get confused who is who's mum nowadays), clothing size if you don't mind getting clothes by 26th November I'll collate and pick names from a hat again and let you know who you have been matched with within a few days. Last posting date for parcels at Christmas is usually around the 15th December so that should give everyone enough time to go shopping!

Santa's not so little helper!

GlaikitFizzog · 12/11/2012 21:44

Budget £5 again? And baby's clothes size, you can give me yours if you want!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/11/2012 08:10

I have pm'd you Fizz Smile

The thought of potty training again makes shudder.
