Sorry, think i should be thanking strawberry but at least i'm proving my point........

pen it was countrymamma i think

CheshireDing · 30/10/2012 19:41

Glad everything's ok Ips, so pleased and [henvy] too [hblush] send me some baby vibes [hgrin]

Congrats on the driving test too Strawberry

Climbingpenguin · 30/10/2012 20:43

ips so relieved for you

I passed second time, but should have failed my second and passed my first. Although my reverse park in the second was absolutely awesome, I had to reverse just to pull out of it. They decide themselves and find the material to fail you if that's what they wanted.

Penelope1980 · 31/10/2012 05:27

babyvibes heading your way cheshire

And sassy always nice to be thanked for something you didn't do Grin

Now I need to start thinking about NaNoWriMo ... going away for holiday the first weekend it's on probably isn't the best start!

sassy34264 · 31/10/2012 09:14

Grin pen

Did you do the bike ride? Forgot to ask.

Penelope1980 · 31/10/2012 09:32

No, I pulled out in the end. I was so sick after getting severly dehydrated I couldn't face the idea of getting back on the bike for a couple of weeks, by which time my training schedule was up the wazoo. TBH though I felt like a weight had lifted off my shoulders as soon as I pulled out as it was taking up sooo much time and time when I could have been doing things with A. Plus, I wondered if I was pregnant as well hence the reaction - I wasn't, but didn't want to do any long rides again until I was sure. I have decided to do something less ambitious over the summer instead ... and whatever I do, will be sure to drink lots of water!

ipswichwitch · 31/10/2012 14:57

Should be due end of June pen. Been lots of confusion over dates- the MW I saw yesterday made me 9 weeks on her twiddly calendar thingy but the scan says 6 weeks. I was 2 weeks late when I did the test, so I would have only been 3 weeks preg then but my cycle has been way off since having N. we weren't aiming for any particular age gap ourselves, just let things happen in their own time, but didn't want to wait long as I'm 35 and it took long enough to get pregnant the first time!

Here's some baby vibes ~~~~~~, just for you cheshire. I made sure not to include the morning sickness ones Grin

N has been pulling himself up to standing all on his own! He loves it, but still no interest in crawling. He'll probably walk first! He's getting a bit picky with food but I think it's down to this latest teething episode. I'm feeling rather guilty for taking him to nursery today since I'm still off work (told by dr not to go back until 48hr after bleeding stops n get lots of rest), but I had a bad night with him teething and I have to get some rest. He'll be having a great time but I still feel the guilt. It's a common feeling hen you're a parent!

Engelsemama · 31/10/2012 16:56

pen I started my plot outline last night - going to finish it tonight so I can start tomorrow, but keep changing my mind and adding new characters [hgrin]

TallyBear · 31/10/2012 21:45

The funniest/saddest thing just happened....

..Before I got home from work dh was helping himself to some magic stars from the trick or treat bowl and gave one to Seb who stuffed it down. When I got back Seb was sat on the floor drinking his pre-bed bottle when I went to grab a bag for me. He took one look at the bag, dropped his bottle and pulled himself up to me. When I put it back to one side he erupted into tears, screwed his face up and then refused to have any more of his bottle! Well done dh! [hhmm]

Seb had a lovely birthday weekend but, with two family parties, I think was a bit overwhelmed. He was also getting over a cold virus and teething so not really happy and didn't want to eat much. Loves his new toys though.

Yey Ips glad all OK. [hsmile]

Engles Seb has been really clingy too. Maybe it's an age thing (anyone?). I struggle to get him into the pushchair or put him down but once he gets to the childminder he is fine.

CheshireDing · 01/11/2012 05:56

Ladies I wondered whether I am doing this right. I stopped bf P last weekend - was down to just 7pm-Midnight (maybe 3 shorts feeds at least during this time) but now I have 1 big boob, which is bumpy too. Because I had weaned her slowly I thought it was okay to then stop. DH thinks I should hand express but surely that will just make my boobs think she is still feeding. Any thoughts?

Clingy P here too Tally, I thought they were supposed to be like that at 9 months [hgrin], P is obsessed with wrapping her little arms round my neck (and pulling my hair out!) Arf at the sweets with S, don't take her near the checkout in a Supermarket Grin

sassy34264 · 01/11/2012 13:47

cheshire i just stopped with all mine, but i was down to only one night time feed every time. I never got engorged or bumpy or even leaked a bit afterwards, but i think it's like everything else to do with having babies- pot luck!

I'd prob express if it was me, to get rid of the lumpiness. if it's been nearly a week since you last fed, i doubt your body will tell you to make much more.

I finally got my mum to show me how to use the sewing machine yesterday.

AND I CAN DO IT! so excited. I'm the least creative person going- cant sing, draw, bake, cook, make stuff etc, but it turns out i can work a sewing machine.

Been out to the material shop already this morning. (was all happy and chatty about my new skill, and they just looked at me like i was mad, cos they've been sewing for years) and i dont get out much Blush

Everyone is having cushions for christmas. Grin

Eva had her jabs yesterday. Woke me up this morning with a distressed cry. Went in and she's still lying down. Tried to get her on her feet and she wouldn't hold her weight. I panicked as usual rushed into dp
(who was still asleep) crying and saying she wont stand up. Put her down to show him and she stood.

Little bugger........

Climbingpenguin · 01/11/2012 16:36

expressing is fine as long as it's just enough to make you comfortable

MrsHende · 01/11/2012 20:27

I expressed a tiny amount every other night for a week (ish) after I stopped bfing. In fact, although I was down to just one feed a day I did also have to take paracetamol one day too, I was at the in-laws and didn't have a pump with me.

Clingy baby here too but happy as larry at nursery. I can't stand that they get the best part of the day with her Sad. I hate working full time. Lottery ticket for me tomorrow!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 01/11/2012 22:58

Happy as larry!! Grin
Who does that make you think of mrsh?

All you non scots have to YouTube a show that was on here called 'the scheme'. It showed an estate not to far from Glasgow in all its glory Blush. You may need subtitles though....

CheshireDing · 02/11/2012 05:51

Tally sorry I do know S is a boy, I meant don't take HIM near the checkout chocolates Grin

Thank you ladies after your comments I did go and express some, still attractively knobbly so might have to do some more tonight.

Mummy how can you stay up so late ? ! Grin

Bad news here?the tv is broken (and we only have one) and the bloody dog has just eaten a ginger cake I made whilst the cupboard door was open and I was in the garage. I only wanted 30 minutes of sit down with a bit of pink wine, cake and Made in Chelsea.

Fx for a lottery win for you and me tonight MrsH.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 02/11/2012 08:25

I am a major night owl. I'm very rarely in bed before 12am Confused. It's not good though, wish I could sleep much earlier.

HELLO!

Ipswitch - are you pg again - CONGRATULATIONS!! Anyone else?
I know I've been gone a while so what else have I missed?

Happy Birthday to all the babies - can you believe the are one? Seriously? When did that all happen?

How is everyone?

Waving and waiting in anticipation for lots of gossip...

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 02/11/2012 11:41

Where have you been bb3?!?! Hope you and kids are all well x

BB3 · 02/11/2012 11:47

Weeeellll, Was manic finishing work in August, spent the entire September in Turkey with almost not internet (seriously it's not a 3rd world country you would think villas would be equipped with these thing :)) and dealing with my in laws (enough said about that) then in October the company launched and I was merrily thinking I would have all month to set it up and then we go and get 5 clients and are beside ourselves busy so one month on we still have no logo or website because we are too busy with work.

PLUS we have had 3 weeks of the D&V bug, and have been setting K up with some fairly intensive support from various forms (music therapy, speech therapy etc etc) so have existed (badly) in my own little world.

It's not just you guys I have neglected, if you saw the length of my leg hair you would see that myself and my husband aren't getting much attention either ;)

I am lost with the name changes! I think it's fuzzzy motherduck if so, how is S? She is BEAUTIFUL, was looking at her welly pics the other day and just wanted to squeeze her little face!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 02/11/2012 12:11

Wow, you have had a busy time!! Glad you got the company going, I guess being busy is a good thing though, everything will soon fall into place.
I guess the op on K didn't do much? Is the therapy helping?
Loved the photos of the girls birthday, they are just adorable!!
Not much happening up here, finally got a job with nhs24 (NHS direct down south) but only as bank staff so shifts have been few and far between but enough to keep me and S ticking over Smile

CheshireDing · 02/11/2012 12:28

Happy Birthday in advance to baby Golden and Dannid (in case I don't get to say it on the actual day and msis them)

Engelsemama · 02/11/2012 12:37

You've been busy bb3 !

Not much to report from the engels household. M is now helmetless and toddling around.

I'm finally hunkering down to write a novel this month (3549 words down, 46, 451 to go) but that's about it.

Nice to "see" you Smile

BB3 · 02/11/2012 12:44

Not really, it improved his hearing slightly but he is so far behind in his speech and cognition he has big jumps to make to even attempt to get school ready. Started therapy in October so he's only had a few weeks but so far, so good - he's making small steps forward which is all that counts.

you enjoying the job? Hopefully they'll be more shifts now the winter bugs are settling in x

Oooh Engel, what is the novel about?

Can you believe it's almost Christmas? (well after my big 3-0 this month - Angry)

Engelsemama · 02/11/2012 12:48

Youg Adult Fiction bb3 - suspense (I think...I have an outline but I may be making it up as I go along...just a bit...)

Don't even speak to me about Christmas..we have Sinterklaas, another wedding, MILs birthday to get through first! (and when I asked my family last weekend what they wanted for Christmas they gave me this Shock look!)

LittlePebble · 03/11/2012 10:09

Thank you everyone for the lovely wedding messages. Italy was amazing and we had a lovely week back in UK afterwards chilling out.
Happy birthday to all the babies that I've missed.

So so sad to read about Bea, can't believe after a year that she's gone.Sad

Engels very impressed by your novel writing what will you do once you've finished?
Cheshire hope P is sleeping better? How's the boob?
Another one with a clingy baby here, but he's out with MIL at moment as I've got chest infection and also threw up this morning no idea why. Just had a bit of a melt down as she was going to take him out for the day. Lovely for him and her but I have worked all week and want to see him. Sad not sure if IABU.....
