Ha ha mrsh how did DH manage last night!? Grin glad nursery went well, we have our chat about "routine" etc in 15th August, I use the word routine loosely. I am hoping she will go without day feeds by September, how are you managing L's milk feeds with nursery?

Scheh I thought about offering P's wetsuit but as she wore it in November and it's pink it will probably fit C's leg! Smile

BB3 I only read back two days otherwise I would never be able to comment!

P has been baby swapped again, she is still asleep, which never happens afte 7am AND the monitor says she has been down for 6 hours 2 mins now!!!! I hope, fx, we have come out of the las few awful Wonder Weeks. She still has no teeth and has been eating much less recently but I'm not worried I figure the food is there so she cannot be starving.

MrsH how are you feeling about going back to work and how is nursed going for you Pene?

Damn it, she's up!Grin

ClimbingPenguin · 01/08/2012 08:42

I think we are in growth spurt country

welcome back BBB been wondering what u have been up to.

MrsHende · 01/08/2012 09:28

DH has cracked it! She slept through the night! Grin Fingers crossed this continues...

Cheshire, I'm now feeding L when she wakes in the morning, around 4pm and then before bed. I built up to this planning to carry it on when I start back to work as I will roughly be able to continue that routine. I also give her milk at some point in the morning but that is formula from a sippy cup.

My current plan is to keep this going till she's 1, to ease the transition into work/childcare then start stopping in November. The thought of stopping makes me sad but I'll be glad to get my body back and hopefully start ttc number two.

Any joy for you Chesh with the reflexology? I thought my period might have returned as I started dropping feeds but nothing yet. It will be odd going back to a normal cycle after 18 months with no period.

Right, off to nursery we go again. I was out with work friends last night, the chat made me excited about going back but I'm still dreading leaving her. I really wish I could afford to go part time, I feel like 3 days would be a great balance. However, still no job for DH so that's not an option.

BB3, hello! Don't worry about catching up, just jump back in and you'll soon pick us all up again - it's like watching eastenders after a holiday, you soon know what's happening Wink.

LittlePebble · 01/08/2012 09:41

mrsh great news about L sleeping through Grin

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 01/08/2012 10:14

Great news mrsh, Cheshire Smile. Long may it last!! S still sleeping well at night (bar the 6.30am starts) but it's through the day that's killing me now. She just won't sleep unless she is held which I didn't want to fall into habit of. She is napping much less which I think is havin a knock on effect to the night sleeping/early morning start. Honestly, some days she looks like she has bags under her eyes!!

Interview went ok I think... Im never good at judging these sorts of things. I messed up the first question with just being so nervous and really wanted to ask if I could answer it again. Said I should hear within 10 days. Fingers crossed!! lp have you heard anything back yet from yours?
There is always so many things I mean to ask people and I remember at the most random times.. sch did you get your results back from test? sp I know it was a while ago now, but is W all recovered from his op? Hope scar is fading!

Quite day here, lots of Olympic finals to watch and really excited for the cycling to start. S is becoming so funny and quite a character. Watching yesterday, every time there was cheers from the crowd, she stopped what she was doing to clap her hands Grin. Any music that she hears to, she stands wiggling her bum. It's quite funny!!
Welcome back bb3, hope you are all good Smile

strawberrypenguin · 01/08/2012 16:28

mrsH :o yay for sleeping

Fx for you fuzzzy W's doing well thanks. Scar blending in nicely, kidney function seems much better to us (weeing more and theres no visible bulge anymore) and we have an appointment next week with his consultant after function tests last week so hopefully they will sign off on it.

TallyBear · 01/08/2012 22:32

My goodness it feels like I've missed loads....

Fuzzzy good luck, I'm sure you did OK. They always expect people to be nervous.

We've got a body wet suit thing for Seb to go swimming but the velcro keeps coming undone!

Straw Poor W, how is he now? Hope it was just a reaction to food and not a bug..

MrsH Have you tried Waybuloo and In the Night Garden? I don't know what it is about them but Seb gets transfixed with a huge grin on his face. It's so cute to watch but I try not to use too much.

Great news on all the babies sleeping. Seb's not been great recently (swapped with someone?), although he has had a bad cold bless him. Unfortunately we brought him into bed with us for a few nights as he was so unsettled and ill and now he's decided it's the only place to sleep! Cries uncontrollably until he is in bed with us and then it's all giggles and smiles - how can we be mad at that Smile. However, tonight we used the terribly corny and american music setting on the slumber frog and he went out like a light.

News flash we've finally decorated Seb's nursery! He's only 9 months! Not done the curtains etc (mum working on some nice ones with boats, lighthouses and beach huts) but looking much better.

Engelsemama · 02/08/2012 09:12

Morning all,

Ms next 2 teeth are finally coming through so am hoping for the end of stink bomb nappies for a while.

I'm feeling good today. DH is off and he's promised that we can clear out the wardrobe - currently he has about 70% of the storage and I haven't seen him wear 90% of the clothes!

Have also just updated Ms baby book, something I've been meaning to do for ages. Just need to to order some more prints now.

Have just gone through my Talk settings and removed all of the topics I really don't care about from my Active convos and (dare I say it) also removed AIBU as otherwise I get sucked into MN for the whole day and generally get myself annoyed about the crap some people put on AIBU.

Great news on sleep mrsH and well done on nursery tally - we have more unfinished DIY projects in our house than I can count!

lovinbeingmum · 02/08/2012 13:14

tally congrats on the nursery! where did you get the curtains from? i haven't seen any that have a cute design on them but are thick enough to block out light. did pick up some cute furniture from a place called ecotoystore. they stock teamson furniture - adorable stuff. tho' now there is no budget for toys....

congrats mrsH and engels on sleep and teeth....we have the two upper ones showing through here as well...

ok...so I just had THE moment of the last 10 months less a week. R was playing in the living room and stepped out to the kitchen...and....i hear something crawling after me calling out mama mama....i'm in heaven....Smile

lovinbeingmum · 02/08/2012 13:17

i should specify he has been calling his dad, grandparents and the world in general......so i had been waiting my turn....Smile

ipswichwitch · 02/08/2012 16:30

It's lush the first time they say mama isn't it lovin, although N said dada and Barbara first Hmm

We were back in hospital last night, just got home. Nursery rang yesterday afternoon saying N had a temp and wasn't responding to calipol. Took him to GP who thought it may be chicken pix as there were 2 spots on his back. One chest X-ray and several blood tests later they decided its a virus and not the dreaded pox as the spots disappeared by then. They think he has a heart murmur which they couldn't hear properly throug the stethoscope as N was screaming too much and his nose and upper airway too congested. None of us slept last night so we're off to bed as soon as N goes down. He goes for a check on the 10th so fingers x that the heart is ok

tally, N seems to like the corny slumber frog music too. Maybe they know something we don't!

strawberrypenguin · 02/08/2012 19:36

lovin :o that's fab, still waiting on W's first word here

ips [hug] fx that Ns heart is ok, poor little ones been through a lot lately hasn't he. Just to reassure you though I had a heart murmer when I was born and I'd grown out of it by 3. It's relativly common and in a lot cases disappears by itself as you grow.

CheshireDing · 02/08/2012 20:18

Ips I hope everything is okay, which I am sure it will be. Hope you all get/are having a good sleep :)

Where are all these teeth coming from?! P is soooo gummy Grin

Aww Lovin that sounds lovely. P only says "Bob" and "Abab" (and I know neither of these people)

Hope you have some more space for yourself in the wardrobe now Engels

Have you heard re the jobs Pebble and Fuzzzy?, fx

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 02/08/2012 21:08

ips Sad, poor N. as sp says, they are common. I've known a few babies to have a heart murmur and then grown out of it Smile

lbm I think I had a tear in my eye the first time I heard S say 'mama'. She said 'dada' Hmm first, shouts 'baba' at the cats and then a few weeks ago said 'mama'. It's just lovely Smile

cheshire not heard back yet.. Hoping next week. Not convinced I'll get it though Sad

Is anyone else hooked on the Olympics?! Goodness, I can't get enough of it! So happy with the cycling today, and esp Mr Hoy Wink

TallyBear · 02/08/2012 22:47

Lovin Aw, how amazing. I can't wait for that.

Mum is making the curtains. I couldn't find anything I liked/could afford. We've got a blackout blind too but mum is lining the curtains so they 'hang better' [completely useless at sewing things emoticon].

Isp sending lots of get well hugs to N. Poor thing. Fx it's nothing.

Fuzzzy me too. Didn't think I was bothered but I've not watched anything else since it started. Although only watching bits in between feeding/changing/playing with/going out with/tidying up after Seb.

Go Team GB!! Torch

Engelsemama · 03/08/2012 10:05

Poor N ips

that's so sweet lovin DH swears that M has said "papa" but it's not a conscious thing and sounds more like "baba" to me so I don't think it counts. he has however managed to say "happen" in Dutch which means to eat/take a bite, while DH was feeding him (DH has taken to saying it when he feeds him) so am pretty sure that he knows what he means when he says it! (I'm far too lazy - I just call his name when I want him to eat, I started saying "food" but felt very silly Blush )

Am addicted to Olympics as well!

Decluttering is going well, have a boot full of clothes to take to clothing bank once M is awake from his nap.

I have a whole extra shelf to myself now cheshire DH had some very "interesting" shirts from the 80s Grin

Finally getting myself in gear - had so many plans for the tidy house and perfect garden I was going to have by the end of the summer holidays. Only 2 more weeks to go so I'd better get cracking (and not get too caught up in the Olympics or MN )

Penelope1980 · 03/08/2012 10:06

A has been saying "mum mum mum", but am told he does it regardless of whether I am there or not so can't assume he means me!

He does also say ablahblahblah which is cute.

I have been working hard recently and watching the Olympics hence not being on mn so much ... hope all the babies are well!

BuntCadger · 03/08/2012 10:10

ipswitch hope N's heart is ok and that he's better soon.

All these babies talking is great Grin but I'm a little Envy. She's not saying mama or dada yet. She said gaga weeks ago but not since. Hoping she doesn't have speech delay like ds2 . She used a toy yesterday like a tool to fetch another toy out from next to sofa.

ipswichwitch · 03/08/2012 12:07

Thanks ladies. The dr did say its not unusual for anaemic babies to have heart murmurs so trying not to worry too much about it. Poor little fella has been through so much lately and is now proper suspicious of nurses in particular - he recognises the uniform so I better make sure he doesn't see me in mine or there may be a meltdown!!

cheshire, N also says Bob and Abab, maybe they're moving in the same circles?? Also says boob, Brum and we definitely heard a Gary once. I have no idea who these people are!! Tooth number 3 is coming in, but no sign of crawling/standing yet. Not so worried now though as the drs said his anaemia has affected his weight gain (gained only 1oz in the 6 weeks before his first hospital admission, then gained 5oz since the start of his iron treatment). They reckon now he's on iron he'll start developing quickly an things like crawling/standing etc will happen soon. That's encouraging as he has all the small movements like pincer grip and transferring from hand to hand and clapping all sorted.

We've been Olympic watching- N seems quite interested and by the way he flings his toys about we may have a future judo champ in the making Grin

Scheherezade · 03/08/2012 14:07

It's Friiiiiiiday Grin

ips hope N is ok, he's having a tough time isn't he.

We've had a busy week, which C has loved. Think its taken its toll on him, he's a bit under the weather. Woke and needed a bottle at 4, slept 5-6, 7-10 and 11-now. Slept through lunch so I'll just give him a bottle when he wakes. He's in bed with me, so I can't even get up to do anything in case he rolls out again

BuntCadger · 04/08/2012 09:19

After getting worried about J not babbling... She said Ma ma and Ba Ba last night. Mostly Mamamama tho Grin

She by her tongue tho when she fell over Sad so much blood but she fed ok and seems fine today. Poor girl.

Had sleepover for eldest last night, camped in garden in tents. Grin

lovinbeingmum · 04/08/2012 09:28

bunt yeah for mama Smile ouch for the tongue. think we had the same thing happen yesterday. he fell over, the fall was nothing serious at all but the howling...OMG!!!! feeling like an idiot I didn't realize that's what must have happened....he must have bitten his tongue in the fall....Blush....in any case, show him a red london bus from the window and he's a happy baby again....long may simple pleasures last....

strawberrypenguin · 04/08/2012 09:32

bunt W isn't forming words yet either and he's not a huge babbler, has his moments but is generally fairly quiet.

Can any of you ladies make use of a 10% off when you spend £100 at Mothercare voucher. It's got to be used this month and we don't need any big stuff atm. It's use once so first to shout gets it!

Engelsemama · 05/08/2012 08:26

Wow! How amazing was the Olympics last night!

M had a proper tantrum last night...no idea why but just before last bottle he started jumping up and down in rage, banging his fists. Never seen him so het up before - looks like we have a diva on our hands!

Have a good day everyone. Smile

BuntCadger · 05/08/2012 09:06

Taking a break from MN. Still on Fb but less so. Hope you all enjoy what's left of the summer x Smile
