Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lovinbeingmum · 30/07/2012 21:44

sche are you sure the size will be ok for him? if yes, happy for you to have it - will pm you the details. i have one of those baby swimming float thingies as well that a friend had given me in practically unused condition - the one that goes around the tummy not the arms. can send that too if you want it....

strawberrypenguin · 30/07/2012 21:47

Climbing yay for cot sleep :)

fuzzzy hope interview goes well

scheh if you mean those UV protection suits that are made of swim suit type fabric that's what I use to take W swimming keeps him plenty warm enough.

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 30/07/2012 22:55

Evening all, just checking in quick before bed. Thank you for all your good luck wishes for my interview tomorrow Smile. Had a slight panic at 9pm to try on my 'interview outfit' as its been many years, thankfully it still fits!!
cp yay for sleeping in cot! Hope it keeps up for you
sp hope W is ok after his early morning cot party the other day Grin
Sorry, head like mush and can't remember much else Blush
lbm yea I remember my post about activities. Think it was maybe a few threads back, think we average a new one every 5/6 weeks! And yes, I just give S raisins as they are. She chews food pretty well, although was swallowing her pasta whole tonight Hmm
Which reminds me ips loved the story with the window cleaner keeping N amused!

My baby girl is 10 months today. How the hell did that happen?! Confused

ipswichwitch · 31/07/2012 08:48

Happy 10 month day babyfuzzzy :) and good luck for today

Nice one cp and long may it continue

We just put N in a swim nappy and shorts when we go swimming, but out local pool has a smaller heated baby pool and he's fine in there. He did have a little foam body warmer thing but he was too little for it is when he got in the water, it would float up and almost cover his head, so he'd get all shouty as he couldn't see!! His shorts do have a built in nappy but given the way he can poo I like to double layer to prevent leakage

Engelsmeisje · 31/07/2012 12:44

Happy 10 months S! Good luck today Fuzzzy - have my fingers crossed.

great news climbing Long may it continue Smile (oh, and congrats on DH job)

MrsH any more signs of the pox?

M's poo smells SO BAD at the moment. Makes me want to hurl everytime I change him - like rotten fish. Still no sign of tooth number 7 though.

have just wandered onto a Chat thread (which I rarely do) and then been flamed by someone because I don't live in the UK and therefore my advice is "patronising". reminds me why I normally stick to just lurking!

How is everyone today?

Am glued to the Olympic eventing. I don;t think there's going to be much housework done today.

strawberrypenguin · 31/07/2012 15:35

Happy 10 months S. how did it go fuzzzy I think W just wanted to play the other night, not done it since.

eng :( that you got flamed how un-necessary. The evenings been great hasn't it :)

Tmi alert now. W vomited up his lunch plus anything else he had today. Poor baby had to bath him, he stank, he's now crashed out asleep hopefully it's a one off and he's not coming down with anything. Can't get the smell off his high chair either will just have to keep scrubbing I think.

MrsHende · 31/07/2012 16:22

Happy 10 months S Smile! And good luck Fuzzzy.

Engs, take everything on here with a pinch of salt!

No pox! The spots never came to anything, I think they must have just been a couple of wee scratches. Phew!

Sleep training is still going on here, and DH is getting up to her now, offering water...poor DH said yesterday 'It's quite hard going bring woken at night' Grin. No shit Sherlock!

We had our first settling in morning at nursery today . The ladies were all lovely and the leader in the room loves to sing so we should be ok! There isn't much that a song won't fix as far as L is concerned! Back tomorrow for another hour, this time I'll stay in for 15 mins then leave her for the rest of the time and go to the office and see how she gets on. We'll gradually build up to leaving her for a 5 hour stint before I go back to work.

We've just discovered the joy of cbeebies here! Blush trying not to use it too often...but it's powers are amazing!! How does she know it's for her?

MrsHende · 31/07/2012 16:23

bring? Being!

Meant to say, poor wee W, sounds like something disagreed with him! Hope he wakes happy.

Scheherezade · 31/07/2012 18:09

Actually lovin it probably will be too small, if not now then soon as C is a big 10mo. I've ordered one off eBay, Fx It's decent.

Mamamaiasaura · 31/07/2012 20:04

Just popping as name changed, not sure if keeping it yet.

Mamamaiasaura · 31/07/2012 20:04

Eek not worked, I'll be back x

BuntCadger · 31/07/2012 20:05

Tries again

BuntCadger · 31/07/2012 20:06

lovin I sold Jessica's swim wetsuit on eBay and got good price for it. Might be worth selling it there Smile

Engelsemama · 31/07/2012 20:24

Arf at your DH MrsH ! Glad nursery settling in went well. We can't get the Cbeebies channel here (unless we sign up for a million channels) but we do have regular BC 1 and 2 so M will be forced able to watch some children's programmes in English as well as in Dutch.

Have NC too mama though not really too difficult to guess who I am! Was starting to feel that meisje was a bit inappropriate given my age (meisje means "little girl") so time for something inappropriate.

I'm probably exaggerating when I say flamed strawberry. Just one person really. I disliked a phrase they'd used so then they decided they didn't like me!

BuntCadger · 31/07/2012 20:30

I've decided for inappropriate Grin

Engelsemama · 31/07/2012 20:38

I mean "time for something appropriate"! Grin

BuntCadger · 31/07/2012 20:47

I guessed that Grin. I have decided I'm appropriate enough in RL. Wink

lovinbeingmum · 31/07/2012 20:53

sche i had a feeling you had said C is a big baby for his age, which is why I asked....

mama you didn't go for mama kangaroo? :)

I think I still haven't got over my pregnancy hormones as yet - am sitting here in tears listening to Chad Le Clos's dad after the swim. Look at his excitement - it is adorable!

engels It's not like I'm preparing R for Ox-bridge Smile but have you tried Baby Einstein DVDs if you want more english words around (not that they really speak that much on the DVD). I had got one for R which he has been watching for the last two months. The last few days I heard him giving this belly laugh half way through the DVD and it was always at the same music. I sat down and watched what he was laughing at today - it's a monkey slipping on a banana peel. How in the world does he know that's supposed to be funny!!!

MrsH...love your reaction :)

BB3 · 31/07/2012 21:07

Hello hello

Very sorry I've been AWOL - life has massively got in the way!

How is everyone? And the not-so-baby babies? Anyone fancy doing a run down on major events for me (I will catch up but will probably miss an entire thread by the time I've done it!!!)

Fuzz, I can't believe they are so big. The girls are 10.5 months, it's just crazy! They were so tiny and now they are like little ladies bossing us all around and keeping us entertained!

Anyway hope everyone is well.

Dx

Engelsemama · 31/07/2012 21:09

TBH lovin I think that in the pre-school years, Ms English exposure may be higher than his Dutch. he'll only be in nursery 2 days and one day at home with DH. The rest of the time he's with me or with us both and DH and I speak English together. We rarely watch Dutch language TV (it's AWFUL!).

I do need to get some more baby and children's books in English though. We have a ton of Dutch board books from BIL and SIL (though at the baby stage I guess I can just translate and read in English instead!).

Tee hee at R laughing at monkey. It's funny what they find funny isn;t it (iyswim)? M started giggling today at me because I was making a popping sound - he just wouldn't stop!

Engelsemama · 31/07/2012 21:09
BB3 · 31/07/2012 21:10

Hey eng x

Scheherezade · 31/07/2012 22:40

Good to hear from you bb3 I'm a little bit jealous you'll be hitting the 12 month milestone before us Wink

strawberrypenguin · 31/07/2012 23:08

Hi bb3 nice to see you Smile

mama Bunt nice NC Grin

mrsH glad nursery session went well (I really need to do a couple of settling sessions soon) and yay for no pox!

LittlePebble · 01/08/2012 07:14

Hi BB3 not sure I could catch you up on the thread I've struggled to keep up myself! Can't believe how old all the babies are, it's going to be birthday time soon.
fuzzzy how was your interview?
