lookout jacob use to get the rash/blistering around his mouth too,. because of ezcema. he's not 2 yet and it doesnt happen anymore. so they can grow out of it quite quick. although sadly some dont.

pebble it took 10 more mins stood at the top of the stsirs with my sargent major hat on - lie down!
before they gave up and feel asleep.

she was trying to flog a programe for the annual carnival! it gets you entry for 2 days for less than the price of one day at the door iyswim.

Penelope1980 · 21/06/2012 06:41

pebble what age gap will ttc in Oct give you - 15 odd months apart? I was keen to start ttc again later this year but now I am back at work I am happy to leave it a year or two

LittlePebble · 21/06/2012 06:45

Pen if I fell pregnant straight away (unlikely) then Eli would be 1yr 10months, but I figure it'll take a couple of months minimum so probably a 2yr gap. (think my maths is right).

sassy34264 · 21/06/2012 06:47

awh pen! it is early.

if e is 12 months in oct and she's pregnant for 9 months, that makes e 21/22 months. Wink

i was pregnant at 5 months for the twins,. so that give me 14/15 months difference.

Brief post because Alex has just woken up...
Lookout, he is dairy & soy intolerant too. Apparently it's really common. We're seeing the dietitian in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know if she says anything really helpful. I Express for his cereal and anything I make individually for him but if its custard or scrambled egg that we're all eating I make it up with fortified oat milk.

We've just had a wonder weekend here - Sunday he learned to crawl forwards, yesterday he started cruising and last night he fed at half 10 and half 4. And woke at 8. Which was 6ho sleep for me. I feel bloody marvelous this morning. Sorry to rub it in for those having disturbed nights... But we've had our fair share of those too.

Penelope1980 · 21/06/2012 09:33

sassy haha you are right - maths is not my forte at all, especiailly when sleep deprived! Sadly the above is not the stupidest thing I have said recently ...

Actually my logic was this - E's age in Oct = 12 months, months between Oct and Jan for conceiving another Oct baby = 3 months. Total 15 months.

So really no logic at all behind my calculations Grin

Overreactionoftheweek · 21/06/2012 10:01

Just found this thread - ds was born 27/10/11 - and I've occasionally popped onto this thread but can never keep up!

Wanted to say I love all the confessions, ring many bells here! And am so pleased to hear that mine isn't the only one fighting sleep still. He has just started needing to be rocked to sleep again and screaming when he's put down - I felt so down thinking he's gone backwards as we had a few days of being able to just put down and he'd drop off on his own...but it's all normal isn't it? Must repeat that to myself when he's screaming in my face Wink

Would you mind linking the Facebook page please? I might be able to keep up with that one a bit more

sassy34264 · 21/06/2012 10:27

oh pen

i would have just stuck to the sleep deprived excuse.......

Grin

im having a right chuckle at you. but in a sweet affectionate way. xxx

Penelope1980 · 21/06/2012 10:49

Hehe.

Penelope1980 · 21/06/2012 10:50

I would write you a haiku or the like about being sleep deprived and its implications sassy but I am too tired Grin

PenguinArmy · 21/06/2012 12:44

welcome overreaction the acceptance that sleep is not a linear progession is one of the harder lessons to master I think.

emmazed · 21/06/2012 16:40

Hi overreaction

Thanks for the good wishes, we are not too bad. Fortunately this cold is not as bad asthe last one. Those with older kids have said the first couple of years seem to be constant colds, something to look forward to!

go what a week! Crawling and cruising one day after the other. J is great at crawling, but no cruising here yet, tho he loves to stand, so I think it won't be long. Still need to put the stair gates, cupboard locks etc up. Oops! He actually hadn't yet shown any interest in the stairs or opening things yet, but I guess it is only time.

For those that like 50 shades of grey, watch this, v v funny. . Hope that worked, never linked before.

strawberrypenguin · 21/06/2012 17:18

Hi over our DS's have the same birthday Smile

em I haven't got stair gates sorted yet either and W is quite fond of them. In my defence he isn't moving under his own steam yet - hates being on his front, loves to 'walk' but can't balance himself yet. It's def on my list of things to do soon

Scheherezade · 21/06/2012 17:31

Hello all! Had a break from here as was getting too anxious over weaning/nutrition etc, but its all sorted now :)

And, you'll all hate me for this but C is sleeping amazingly! Goes to bed 7ish, wakes 6-7am, has a bottle, play 30mins then comes into bed with me and sleeps another 90mins-2.5 hours! And today the HV told me C has the best diet of any baby she knows, so I'm happy with that!

Has anyone else's babys moved up the centiles since weaning? 0-6m C followed 50th, but plotted him for first time today since weaning and height/head are 91st, weight 75-91st. So he's not overweight, just jumped. HV says its normal after weaning as they're getting more nutrition (C gets lots of different fruit/veg/meat/fish each day). He's having 18oz ff a day, plus 3oz milk, cheese & yoghurt (extra iron comes from red meat, broccoli and spinach).

Scheherezade · 21/06/2012 17:34

HV probably only saying that to make me feel better after I rang her in tears last week, mind Hmm

LittlePebble · 21/06/2012 19:33

Scheh Eli has jumped up he's gone from 98th to 99.5th (or whatever it is) for weight and his height is now off the chart (was 99.5th). He's bloomin huge now and in 12-18 month clothes and killing my back

em and go I've got to sort stair gates etc. too. Eli is crawling fast now and has a penchant for cables, the dog and my shoes. (he actually tried to eat the dog earlier I need a stair gate to protect the dog!) any advice on what to get welcome [clueless emoticon]

Waves at over

PenguinArmy · 21/06/2012 19:36

how much does he weigh then?

Scheherezade · 21/06/2012 19:43

PA C or LPs?

PenguinArmy · 21/06/2012 19:58

i'll go for both Grin

lookout · 21/06/2012 20:05

sassy I can only hope he'll grow out of it. It is a pita, for him too I imagine.

golemmings thanks, any useful knowledge you can pass on would be gratefully received. I'm going it alone because the GPs suck and don't believe me aren't concerned.

I am exhausted this evening. Shopping about to be delivered, E crying his head off and dh and I haven't eaten yet. Poorly baby + wonder week = knackered mummy!

CheshireDing · 21/06/2012 20:16

There are some big boys on this thread Grin.

It seems so mad to read that some babies are on the 70th/90th etc centile when P was on the 9th and is just about on the 25th now. She still wears 3-6 months dresses as tops and still fits in 3-6 trousers. I have just bought her a wet suit today 6-9 months with the theory that it will be LESS baggy by the time she goes on holiday at 10 months! At least I get wear out of her clothes though I suppose Grin I got her a very cool looking pair of purple cords today from H&M for £3.

Started having Reflexology today to see if it will start my periods so we can get on with No2 turning up. Will shall see what happens.

Welcome Overreaction. I think you have to be invited to the fb as it's secret (that's my understanding anyway). I will pm you about it.

Emma does he stand with help/on his own/propped up - leaning on something?

We have colds and drool and no teeth here too. She did try and eat the cat too, sorry can't remember who else this happened to.

Sassy did you tell your neighbour to bugger off Grin ?

Sorry for everyone else that I missed.

I am going to try and send a quick pm to everyone on the previous thread in case we lost them 'cos it got full, so just ignore me if you're already here and get a message.

PenguinArmy · 21/06/2012 20:18

lookout DD is also egg, soy and dairy intolerant. For the most this doesn't bother us as we are vegan. I haven't actually tried DS on them yet Blush

PenguinArmy · 21/06/2012 20:19

at 9 months DD was only just above the 0.4th, she is back to between 9th and 25th now

LittlePebble · 21/06/2012 20:43

Eli was 24lbs when last weighed Shock

CheshireDing · 21/06/2012 20:47

Gosh Penguin, was she teeny tiny?
