Oh no figgy; sounds like figgyboy is really putting you through the mill at the moment... And you would think with all that food he wouldn't be hungry until he was about 7, never mind waking up at night; he just must have a really high metabolic rate or something...

DP had DS last night, and so he's having the lie-in; DS has just gone down for his first nap, so will crack on with bottles and possibly a shower.

We're having to go into my work today because, muppet that I am, I forgot all the paperwork for two meetings I have on Monday. I need to have it with me as I've got the dentist first thing and then am going straight to them, as opposed to into the office [complete and utter tool emoticon]
Still, at least where I work is in the centre of a very nice town, so we'll enjoy a day trip Confused!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 09/06/2012 08:51

Figgy Figgyboy sure is putting you thru it. Have you tried subsituting the overnight bottle with water instead of milk as it might be that he is thirsty as opposed to hungry iykwim. Also If you only give him water he might after a few days not bother waking up iykwim.

Sky slept 9:45pm to 4:40 had a bottle and was back asleep by 5:55 and didn't wake again until 8:20am Grin

BJR · 09/06/2012 13:10

Hi all! Not had much time to catch up with thread but hope everyone is doing ok.

DP and I have done lots of talking and we both know what things need to change, whether or not this happens is another thing but we're going to give it a go. I'm hoping after June things will get a little easier as he is working 12 hour days 6 days a week untill July which really isn't helping.

DS is doing great with weaning and seems to be enjoying everything. He moved into his own room last weekend and has started waking for night feeds again but i think thats a coincidence rather than due to the room change!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekends :)

KateM77 · 09/06/2012 13:51

BJR pleased to hear things are going a bit better for you, and fingers crossed things improve from July. Sounds like LO is doing brilliantly too.

northern we moved DD into her own room at 11 weeks and DS at 6 weeks, and all slept better after that

Oi pleased the cufflinks gave you an idea and that your kit arrived so promptly. I've just realised I've spent so much time sorting things for DH and haven't thought what on earth to get for my own dad Blush

Well DS is still a bit slow in getting this whole eating business, with him pulling a face and spitting everything out, but today's banana was slightly better received. A friend told me her DS was the same until 7 months and now at 8 months is on 3 meals a day plus snacks!

AnAirOfHope · 09/06/2012 14:04

LMF hope ypur ok

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 09/06/2012 17:10

Sad I hate feeling like this and feeling like DP is less than supportive about it Sad

seven77 · 09/06/2012 17:25

BJR no wonder you haven't been getting on well, you must both be exhausted! Im glad you've agreed on what needs to change, hopefully July will bring big

seven77 · 09/06/2012 17:28

improvements.

dsm would DP look after the girls so you can organise an emergency girls night out? The other suggestion is a DVD, wine and a huge bar of chocolate/ Ben & Jerrys and tell DP to sod off go to the pub.

OiMissus · 09/06/2012 18:04

Good to hear from you BJR, and it's great that you are talking it all thru with DH. Weaning sounds good too. :)
Kate I'm the same. I went out today to get cards, was walking away before I realised I need a happy birthday daddy card, as well as husband. And a happy dad's day, as well as daddy. I'll just get my dad a bottle of whisky from the duty free.
Today BOi has had egg and toast again, and a strawberry fromage frais Frube. :)
He's usually asleep when we get around to dinner, but if he's awake we're on fajitas! Grin
We're on shandy here at the moment.
Until the wine is ready. Grin

seven77 · 09/06/2012 18:10

If anyone is stuck for gifts I came across the brilliant Imperial War Museum Shop. I got DH a couple of their books from the DCs for fathers day, their prints are great too. I'm getting him a spitfire one for Christmas as he's a bit too mad about them.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 09/06/2012 18:48

Seven Glass of Wine drunk already. DD1 is playing nicely in her room. DD2 has just polished off a tub of apple & banana purée and loved it she didn't spill spit out a drop Smile I'm going to get into bed once I've got the girls into bed.

aethelfleda · 09/06/2012 19:23

Didn't manage dinner with DS tonight as we seem to eat too late for him at weekends so am trying to stuff him full of milk....

Hi bjr, good you're talking with DP, and hope you're feeling a tiny bit better DSM. Someone asked about *LMF and I won't speak for her but she has been posting on the FB group and seems OK there.

Quiet day here, bits and bobs of garden clearup, but Getting stuff done in any meanjngful manner takes aaages with three DCs to keep track of. Little steps and all that. Just want some sleep soon!!

Figgygal · 09/06/2012 19:40

Lo has had lots of food today, milk so here's hoping for tonight!! He's had fish for first time tonight unsurprisingly ate it still waiting for him to turn his nose up at something Grin

I bought him some 9-12 month sleep suits today they fit his body but are ridiculously long in the leg. I have just bypassed 6-9 month suits and t shirts but trousers he's ok in as he's long in body and short in leg like me. I expect he's about 22lbs now I'm going to ask the hv to measure him for height as they haven't since he was born.

Going to attempt to watch a movie tonight no wine though

seven77 · 09/06/2012 20:15

My mum turned up randomly with a case of bulmers fruit cider and asked if we wanted it :o. Just opened the chicken to cook curry for dinner though and it smelt suspicious, DH has gone to get more, going to be a late one tonight!

dsm hope you feel better soon.

figgy DD is exactly the opposite. 9-12 month sleepsuits fit in the length but they're ridiculously baggy. She's almost as tall as her 21 month cousin, yet only weighed 14.14 a couple of weeks ago.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 09/06/2012 20:19

Thanks everyone - feel a bit more relaxed at the moment. Smile

In bed and relaxing. Both girls are in bed and DP is downstairs, so I can have some space.

LittleMissFlustered · 09/06/2012 20:32

Sorry for being AWOL, has been a week. Rounded off with me joining the Roman Army.

Tonight I will eat chocolate and hope to bob that my neighbour is quiet:)

GeeandTee · 09/06/2012 21:05

Wahoo! We had a viewing on our house today and got an immediate offer of 5k under asking price, which is exactly the price we were hoping to achieve so feeling pretty shocked really, but very pleased. Only problem is that there is nothing on the market we like at the moment unless we move away from the area and we really really don't want to do that. We were totally upfront with the viewers though and they seemed happy to wait for us to find something. Obviously not indefinitely though so really hope something comes up soon. Not sure whether to be excited or stressed out!

NorthernChinchilla · 09/06/2012 21:08

Hey, good to hear from you LMF- is it the partying studenty neighbours that are the problem (not sure if I've remembered that correctly?)

And you too BJR. That's pretty intensive working from your OH, and will certainly not be doing anyone any good. Glad you're talking it through, and hope things do improve.

I could murder a decent glass of something white, dry and very cold Oi, but we haven't got anything in. So irritating when you particularly fancy something. Am therefore Envy of whatever lovely bottle you'll be having!

Similar here figgy and seven; I looked at DS today to notice that at 6 months, just, he's comfortably filling his 6-9 month stuff (sideways and lenghtways), and starting to flash that bit of ankle at the bottom of his dungarees, so give it a few weeks and we'll have to start looking at the next size up.

OK, DP has just brought the dough downstairs, so off to make pizza Grin

OiMissus · 09/06/2012 21:32

Wing your way over here, we're on a bordeaux superieur, but if it's White your after, I have chenin blanc, Sauvignon blanc, champagne and other sparklies in the fridge. We never don't have anything in! Grin Hic!
lmf it must be nice being Roman. All those yachts! ok, all those gladiators in little skirts! Wink
Nice one gee! don't lose the sale. It's a tough market, rent for 6 months if you have to. It gets you out of a chain situation and you will be able to use that when buying -you'll be an extremely attractive buyer and that's worth a good few grand off the asking price.
Ok seven, your turn next.

hawthers · 09/06/2012 21:42

Shit f just role up an hour after he took 200mls.and would only be settled hr more boob. Going to be a long night....

seven77 · 09/06/2012 21:59

gee that's brilliant about the house. I'm not in a childish jealous strop, honest. :o

oi that's an impressively stocked fridge, if we buy it we drink it!

Glad you're feeling a little better dsm.

OiMissus · 09/06/2012 23:03

I buy 6 bottles (minimum!) at a time to get the extra 5% discount not because I am a lush

OiMissus · 09/06/2012 23:04

...and in my last house I had a wine fridge, so the habit has stuck.
...and I am a lush.
