Hey, here we are again, moving on to the next round of exciting things our little babies are getting up to. :) I hope no-one minded my title, but there hadn't been a big decision and given we were so close to the end I thought I'd just go for it.

I shall update stuff from me tomorrow.

Woohoo, sleep training working. Have been doing it 2 weeks but he has slept through for half of those which is brill and have only had to go in once or twice when he does cry. I think he is old enough to understand now. Sending some sleepy luck your way ssmile

No bfp this month...it's weird properly 'trying' since we didn't with ds. Think we'll skip it this month too as I really dislike being a January baby. Or is that ott?

Hope it's all going well look. I think I've completely forgotten the newborn days! Probably why we're ttc again...
I'll keep quiet in my corner as ds is STTN consistently now. Sorry! He's sleeping til past 8am some mornings so we're gonna have to actually set an alarm I think. He's never been much cop at daytime naps though, if that absolves me slightly? :)

Ooh, headlice. One part of parenting I'm not looking forward to [shudder]. Hope you've got it sorted ssmile I used to get the little buggers regularly, with bum length hair here too.

Still no words here (except peppa...) but he's loving walking and now wants to be outside all the time. Even in the pissing rain. Grr, roll on spring!

Misty, wouldn't it make it and October baby if you conceived this month? still ttc here too but not finding it as stressful as last time as was so desperate before that each month felt like a failier (had big problems of work so having baby saved being made redundant) but don't want too big age gap between kids. Good luck for next 'go'

Ds was conceived dec and was a September baby, so if we conceived feb I think it would make a November baby - but you're right, that's not January (or December, though that's better than jan IMO), so watch out dh

Don't think it will be this month now as DH away over 'optimum' days though finding it really hard to work out when those are as am so irregular now - on the other hand I am able to watch Love in the Wild without him taking the piss!

Oh gosh im glad im not in that place anymore candr it takes over your life after a while not madly but its always in the back of your mind. I feel for DD1 2wks after we thought vaguely it might be a nice idea to have kids (we were SO not ready practically but survived) then took nearly 2years to get preg with DD2 i even used to arrange our holidays around optimin time of the month but it didnt make any flippin difference. GP just said do it every 2-3 days is best and she was right in the end as the month i did get preg we missed "optimin" wk as DH was away so was mega suprise when i was preg :) so enjoy the baby dancing :o

Hello all, been having a mad half term at work so no time to drop in and say hi until now. It's lovely to hear about the new DTs Look, brilliant names too. And great to hear that you're ttc as well Candr and Misty.

(Sort of) glad to hear that we're not the only ones getting no sleep; both DCs have been ill for a couple of weeks and they're taking it in turns to howl at night DD's also cutting some teeth which is adding to the misery. DS has been off nursery all week (so I'm kind of glad I've been so busy at work and hardly seen them!)

I wish sleep training worked with DD but she just gets herself so angry when you go in to check every ten minutes. Last time we tried she started head butting the cot and gave herself a big bump! Besides which, I know her teeth are giving her trouble so she's crying because she's in pain at the moment so it's just plenty of repeating "this too shall pass"!

I have finally stopped BFing this week as I want to go back on the pill to sort out my cycle; I have settled into having a period every three weeks which is infuriating and I had really bad period pains last month like I don't remember having since I was a teenager. I also want to get a tattoo

We finally cut the big dble tooth at back start of the week so actually had 5nights of good sleep but was back to crying on /off from 3am last night her gums look SO very sore. She still has only bottom two front middle teeth and top 4 front plus this big one. Im hoping she does what eldest did and suddenly four in one go as its felt like months of "teething" but no teeth!! Its my big 40 next week :o so im escaping for overnight tom to spa with my friend. No kids for 36hrs :) :) dh as usual had forgotten and came home tues "oh by the way ive got to work this weekend" im like err no you not your doing the girls....hmmmm he joking said I might have to take them in with me! That be hilarous as youngest is climbing, running evetywhete. Had vvveeerrryyy long breakfast this morn of her constantly standing up in her high chair despite being strapped in. So i took her breakfast away everytime, then she cried sat diwn so i gave it back. After 5 goes i took her out of the chair she has tantrum pointing at food. So i tried just putting her on the chair no straps like big girl pushed upto big table and gave her some of big sisters waffles....she sat as good as gold for 5mins licking all the jam off. But lots of boundary pushing at the moment but also lots of lovely walks and puddle jumping too :)

Faral I have been really irregular too, often having 2 a month (and I stopped bf at 11m)
What tattoo are you thinking of? I have a couple but the dolphin on tummy took a battering while pg so now looks like a slightly wrinkled salmon so think carefully where you have it.
Ssmile, we put a bit of dentionx on his dummy when he is teething and it seems to relax him so he able to go back to sleep. Just did 2 nights at MIL with travel cot and he slept reaaly wel so am hoping that it will stay that way.
We are also having lots of boundry pushing which I hope will lessen as he is learning more words every day. I just put him on the floor for the odd tantrum but he seems to be learning from them that no means no.
My latest news is I am pregnant, only 3-4 weeks so very early and not telling anyone in RL yet but had an inkling as have been tired and my gums started hurting. We are very excited but really hope I am not as sick this time as had morning sickness for 7m last time. Also slightly scared about having 2 when DS is such a climber and risk taker but does love (pinning down) and kissing babies!

Big (quiet) congrats candr :o hope all progresses well till Oct? Hope you do not feel as sick this time too. I felt a little less sick second but i also forced myself to eat v.oftern and little as with DD1 to care for i had no choice but to carry on with life.

Its my birthday today big four oooo spent morning at playpark :o wearing out botb girls so now Lo is napping and big one having down time with a dvd :) going out with DH for quiet meal later as granny coming to babysit yippee. Had big bunch flowers when i got home from my brother and sister &their familes which nice and long skype chat with my sis who lives overseas this morning at breakfast. So nice day so far...:)

Had forgotton how nerve wracking every twinge (and there are a lot of them) is. Had to tell mum and sis as they are trying to buy me bridesmaid dress for sisters wedding in May - very excited!
DS has learnt to climb on kitchen chair so found him standing on dining table today trying to lean over and pick up a crystal glass off shelf - sure made my heart stop. There is nowhere he will not climb now and pushes chair to kitchen sideboard where hot kettle is and knife pot, glass things in cupboards - Oh God will need severe kitchen/house proofing again!

How is everyone doing?

Ahhhh, hope you had a lush birthday Ssmile and yay and congrats for Candr, how lovely and I am really really as I would so love to have a DC3 but the practicalities are just way beyond us!

I've already got lots of tattoos; I need to have DD's birthday added somewhere (got DS's in roman numerals on my right forearm) and I've also got a little stylised family (currently minus DD) on the inside of my left wrist so I need to get her added. Beyond that, I'm not really sure. I am seriously thinking of having "these things shall pass" tattooed somewhere but I can't decide where, maybe my forehead! I did do a big at candr's wrinkly salmon; my belly is definitely not going to be adorned with tattoos or piercings for a good while yet! It does seem as though everyone has tattoos these days which puts me off a little bit, although my students at school are always intrigued when they catch sight of mine!

How much talking are the DCs doing? I had this idea that DD would be a massive talker as she's got an older brother who she copies at everything and because she did other stuff like walking very early but she's not doing much at all really. We understand what she's on about a lot of the time and she says all of our names and hello and goodbye etc but that's about it. I can't get over how much she understands but she doesn't say any of it though! I know she'll probably have a big developmental leap and suddenly start but it's just that I'm really looking forward to having a proper conversation with her!

Really looking forward to Easter this year and crossing fingers for good weather so we can do an egg hunt in the garden! I'm planning to make our own Easter eggs which I am very excited about!

Hi everyone.

Sorry I've been AWOL.

In a nutshell, the boys are amazing, little cutie boys, growing well, and they look so like each other, I had started telling them apart but it's getting harder again! Bf hasn't happened this time sadly, loads of latch issues, but they're having mostly ebm as I'm daisy the cow until I get fed up of pumping anyway.

E is wonderful with them, says bruh-dah then their names on repeat. Gives them hugs and tries to kiss them and stroke their heads :)

E is so bright even if I say so myself, she is a massive talker, I've just seen Feral ask about talking, E has the vocab of a 2 year old, lots and lots of words in context and says 3, 4 and sometimes 5 words together. She says please and thank you and the funniest things like 'don't touch' right before she proceeds to touch the object she knows she's not allowed to touch.

It's tiring, but it's so worth it. And I can't believe how quickly the time is going. 8 week check this week for us!

I'll check in again v soon. Sleep awaits me now, hopefully for an hour or two.

We're giving it a rest until may now I think (to avoid jan baby) and besides, we're moving house later this week so that's enough stress for now. Bit concerned it might unsettle ds - but this will be his 4th house before he's even 18mo, so it's not like he's not used to it :( hopefully we'll be able to buy soon...

Look - cant believe your babies are 8wo already! Hope it's all going well. I can't imagine having one extra baby as well as ds, let alone two!

As for talking, ds says about 2-3 words, not particularly clearly either, but he understands nearly everything we say (I must stop swearing around him...). He says mumma, daddy, done, peppa (!), oh dear, and possibly 'yes'. Not too worried - I didn't talk until 2yo apparently. He's running about everywhere now :) which is making going out a little tricky as he wants to walk (fine) but if I take the pushchair then he just wants to push it (while being held up horizontally...) which is hard work.

After having so much stress with his appetite and eating since he's been a baby, he is now eating like a horse so gratifying to see.

Right, best get back to the packing...urgh. Hope all mummies enjoy Mother's Day :)

Wow lghg 8wks old thats flown by well ok prob not for you but your doing an amazing job even still expressing. It mustbe utterly exhausting.

misty hope the moving goes ok. Its SO very stressful doing that. We have started viewing houses but we have to get ours on the market first! Endless list of little jobs ive been doing on off all winter.

Re talking our Lo has in the last 10days suddenly exploded her language skills from hardly any words to being a little parrot. She is alsohaving ytantrums or extreme resistances for everything that requires me to help her with. So getting dressed, shoes, coats, teeth brushing, carseat, buggy, lifting, bedtime are all a kicking screaming fess for 1-5mins which is rather draining but then we get the cuteist giggles over silly things 2minutes later! Another strong willed Little Miss i fear. Weve had to do a couple of 30sec timeouts in her cot to stop her climbing in or out of stuff when she repeatdly ignoresour Nos. Hohum i keep repeating it will pass :o

Feral, the kids in my class loved seeing my tattoos even though they are mainly hidden.
Look, sounds like you have been kept very busy. Hope they are eating and sleeping well. Shame about bf but at least they can still have some of your milk for a while but it must be very demanding. Am scared as to how I will cope with one baby as DS is a handful.
Misty, can't believe tyou have to move again, hope you get to stay in new pad for a bit longer.
Ssmile, your LO is sounding like DS. Climbing everywhere saing no whilst doing it, talking lots most of which sounds cute except shouting 'take that' as he throws something in your direction but has good manners which people find adorable. We are also having lots of tantrums and he has been playing up as DH been a way lots.
I am feeling very sick and am only 6weeks. It was so awful last time as had sickness for 4 months then back again in month 7-9 so am really worried as to how I will del with it if I am that bad agian. Changing pooy bum's with morning sickness is pretty awful and dragging my arse to the park, shops etc to amuse LO is hard work when icky and tired but I know it will be worth it as he will sleep better at night.
We are having lots of throwing food on floor while saying 'oh no food gone' and laughing so made him get down and pick it all up before he could finish dinner. Need to be strict mummy as am too tired to deal with it at the moment (moan moan moan!)
Tried to join in on the Oct2013bus thread but they write about 10 pages a day so can't keep up, glad there ae still lots of you on here

Candr, congratulations, hope you miss the bad sickness. Feeling tired while dealing with a toddler is hard work.

We've been tag team poorly here :( it's been a rough couple of weeks. E was poorly firsts then I got it and now the boys have 'mild' bronchiolitis :( they're ok until they start coughing and its horrible. Luckily they don't need hospital, but I'm watching them closely. I just want us all well again :(

Poor you Candr, I remember how utterly draining being pg and running around after DS was. I remember sitting in a layby on the way to swimming lessons on Saturday morning about two years ago and just crying and crying for about 10 mins because I was just so exhausted after a week at work and then had to look after DS on my own all weekend. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do so I am in constant awe of Look for keeping up with 3 DCs under the age of 2!

Funny what you say about the Oct 2013 thread; remember when ours was like that and we were all on it all the time coz we were so bored waiting?

Well, DD hasn't done any more talking but she has started using the potty Not our idea at all, a couple of weeks ago she just started removing her nappy, finding DS's pot and peeing into it! Once or twice she's even put DS's loo seat onto the loo, climbed up and peed and then wiped afterwards It's not as though she's potty trained or anything - and DH never remembers to give her the opportunity - but when I'm in charge or she's with my mum then she will pee in the potty a couple of times a day.

I really really wasn't ready for this as I didn't think that she had the language to be able to do it. DS was twice her age before he was potty trained and he was a nightmare (took three separate attempts over the course of nine months). I hope the weather clears up soon because I'm going to need some good garden weather if she decides to go for it properly!

Feral to the potty using. Wow. The closest toilet functions we get is DD saying poo either just before or just after she's poo'd.

We had shit times recently with DD being ill, then I caught it, and then the boys got bronchiolitis but (and I touch wood) I think we're over it now.

The boys smile now lovely cute grins. And they weigh 11lbs, DD is just under 19lbs, but weighed pretty much the same as they do at this age, it'll be interesting to see what happens when they move - boy 1 actually rolled from his tummy to his back earlier, I'm sure it was a big old fluke!

And I've already posted about the illnesses, teach me not to read my own posts before I post. Sorry.

Move went well, thanks for all kind words. We're in now and just found out can't get mortgage for time being so will be here for a while I think. It's 5mins to a brilliant park and we've been taking full advantage - often the only ones there though!

candr poor you with the morning sickness :( hope you're being looked after. I avoided ms but had horrendous heartburn from 10wks onwards. Still sort of aiming to ttc from may again.

look you poor things with all the illness, there seems to be a lot of it going around at the moment. Aw, it's so lovely when they start to smile at you isn't it? Have been looking at photos/vids of ds and feeling all nostalgic. He never seemed that tiny to me, but he really was!

feral potty training?! Wow, very impressive. I still rely on smell to detect when ds has pooed - often from across the room [bugrin] we've got a potty in his bedroom, and have done for months now, but he generally puts it on his head at the moment!

ssmile good luck with selling - it's all so stressful isn't it? Hope the tantrums have calmed down too. Ds isn't as bad at the moment, despite being no further along with talking; we now have 'shoes', 'ball', 'down', and 'gacky' (whatever that means?!)

Our house is now on the market and we had 4 viewings in the first week but no offers yet. We have found somewhere else we really like so I am hoping it will not take too long. We have been shocked though by some of the awful houses on the market at silly prices [bushock] We have just got back from our first family ski and snowboarding holiday [bugrin]. Had a fab time despite Lo being ill for the first half of the week but DD1 absolutely loved her ski lessons which was a real gamble. She had never been on a pair of skis before so I took her out for an hour on Sunday and got her to ski down a beginners run at her third attempt with no falls, and then she had lesson every morning after that. We also used a fantastic french nursery in the village for DD2 for 3 days so we all had some rest and snow time [busmile]

DD2 is still an utter handful so much more so than DD1 I think! She climbs everything and today we were at A&E again as she tripped and hit her head on the door frame resulting in a nasty head bruise and cut n bump. Her favorite world is still NO NO and if in the buggy OUT OUT. She is very strong willed and its still a battle every dinner time to get her to sit still in her high chair and eat her food. I keep repeating its a phase and it will pass. When daddy did tell her off firmly tonight and she sat down fast and turned around when we took her dinner away so maybe we are finally winning with?!!? But then she refused to give daddy a cuddle or let him do her bath tonight instead opting to scream the house down until mummy came back to the bathroom.

Glad you all settled in your new home candr. Hope you all stay healthy for a bit look its such hard work when its just a continuous stream of endless bugs. feral wow at the potty hope it continues well. Lo tells me when she is doing a poo now and knows that when I say I am going for a wee she follows me to the bathroom to watch :) I think she will potty train earlier than DD1 who was nearly 3 but hell I'm not looking forward to it as everything so far has been a battle of wills with her and I'm sure that will be no different!

Feral, am very impressed with potty use. DS sits on potty or loo each day before bath no probs but has yet to wee while doing it and will only sometimes tell us if he has done a poo though he will now lie on mat for you rather than screaming and fighting.
Look, sounds like your boys are doing well, so sweet to have first smiles but must have been rough with them both being ill, hope they are all better now.
Ssmile, we have lots of temper tantrums here at the moment especially at 5am when DS is not alowed to come into our bed anymore. He is also really strong willed and would rather be out of buggy but is a bugger to try and get him to walk nicely even with reins as he fights and wants to go own way.
DS was really sick for a few days with D&V and was vomiting every hour during the night for 3 nights so had to be in bed with me. He ate nothing for 4 days and was close to being put on drip which was scary and bloody hard work - now I have him back in routine he is really having tantrums and banging head on things when not getting own way - I too keep hoping it is a phase.
Am slightly dreading how I will manage with 2 but am only 10w so have a good long while to let DS grow up. Have bought big boy furniture for new room and will move him during the summer before DC2 arrives but he is so crap at sleep I am so scared we will be back at square one when he moves and again when DC2 arrives.
