This time last year, we were all enormous, waiting for them to arrive - now they're almost 1

BoneyM - that is very sweet - I am usually quite organised, but at the moment I swear I need my own PA to sort out my diary! Our March is very busy too already, and we are going away at the start of April, so I think you should go ahead on the 11th, and we'll join in if ever there's a repeat performance.

And I WILL get those photobucket pics sorted out some time!!!

leogaela · 02/03/2006 16:11

Hi everyone! Great to hear all everyone is doing so well and no one is complaining about lack of sleep (:o) and babies being unwell at the moment (:o)! Although I did read that Misdees dds are and her are all ill. A shame we don't hear more from here on this thread these days :(!

Jambot - hope you and Lauren are all doing well!

Well done with the training JoPG! I have some good weeks where I run several times and bad weeksn (like this one) where I can't find the motivation to run at all.

We are having loads more snow over here at the moment, it has been unbelievable this winter. It has also been permanently very cold since November!

I have a huge apology to make :(, we are away in the mountains next week and I have no access to the internet so I won't be around. So I have to say early happy birthdays to those that turn one next week and a hug pat on the back and congratulations to the wonderful mums that have brought them so well through the first year!

Happy Birthday Harry for Monday :)!
Happy Birthday Lauren for Thursday :)!
Happy Birthday Iris for Thursday :)!
Happy Birthday Amy for Friday :)!

busywizzy · 02/03/2006 19:11

Leo, have a great time at the mountains Envy

hey i am lurking still on this thread, honestly.

maybe its 3rd child syndrome, not as wowed by all her new tricks lol.

serena is doing well, we had a model photo session yesterday, and i am meant to be sorting out her liscene, but seeing as last night and this morning turned into a puke fest i have a feeling i cant get it sorted till next week. serena is the only one not ill.

We are off on hols at the end of the month, this will be fun.

busywizzy · 03/03/2006 13:53

Misdee, sorry to hear you have lots of poorliness going on in your house at the moment. Hopefully a holiday to look forward to will cheer you all up.

How exciting about Serena doing modelling. Is it a big phaff and lots of hard work?

Cristina7 · 03/03/2006 15:56

Where are you going on holiday, Misdee?

We aren't due for a holiday anytime soon. The next one we have planned is for August in Romania, but I feel the need for a break sooner than that. If I could go away and come back to a spotlessly clean house this would be the most relaxing thing ever.

misdee · 03/03/2006 15:59

weare off to good old skegness. i am not 100% about travelling so far from london as the thought of transplant happening that week (always a possibility) scares me tbh. but then it may not happen then, we just dont know.

puking has stopped, dd1+2 are shattered tho.

busywizzy · 03/03/2006 21:10

Misdee, my DD had that two weeks ago and the sickness lasted 24 hours. She was tired for a day or so afterwards and then the next day - it was as if she never had anything wrong with her.

Wish I could recover that quickly from a hangover Grin

Have just spent the morning at the emergency doctors with DD as she has been up all night crying in pain. She has a really bad ear infection, which is probably a symptom of the flu-like thing she's had all week Sad I just can't believe that I've gone back to work and both of them have been so poorly. DD got a sickness bug, then Harrison went down with a chest infection, DD got flu and now has this ear infection, all in the space of two weeks - I feel guilty for leaving them with DH, I feel stressed trying to work on top of having been awake half the night and I feel worried about how poorly they've both been Sad On top of that, DH put his back out at the beginning of the week and I've managed to trap a nerve in my neck and have been in constant pain all week.

Oh well, it's helping my diet as I don't have time to eat anything as I'm always rushing around and I'm only a few pounds away from loosing my target one stone.

Have a good weekend everyone Smile

Poor Busy household, all poorly at the same time. What did the doc prescribe for your DD's ear? You know that it has all been coincidence with you going back to work.

We are fine here, all v tired. I went bowling last evening with Dominic and Sylvia (and a few friends of Domi's and their parents). Richard went to a nightclub. Dominic, Sylvia and I went to bed at 10.30pm, Richard came sometime after 3 am, so we are all tired this morning. D and S woke up before 7am, unusually early for them. Now the 3 of them are in the garden palying/watching cricket, I'm inside tidying the flat (after a quick browse on MN).

Have a nice weekend.

busywizzy · 04/03/2006 18:57

DD is really poorly Sad She's been prescribed an antibiotic called Amoxicillin which is a thick yellow medicine. It smells pretty awful and tastes even worse if DD's reaction is anything to go by. She has to take it four times a day on top of four lots of Nurofen as she's in so much pain. She's cried on and off all day, in between bouts of sleeping. She's very, very hot and feverish and I just feel so bad for her Sad

I've just put Harrison to bed and when I came back into our room, DD is curled up in our bed fast asleep again. Best place for her really as in the past couple of hours she's been complaining about feeling dizzy and sick.

I hope she gets better soon and I really hope Harrison doesn't get the same virus Sad

Cristina7 · 04/03/2006 19:20

I really feel for you, Busy. Dominic also has bouts of ear infection, as if he needed them, poor mite, he already wears hearing aids. I feel so helpless when it happens. Get well vibes from us here.

Pidge · 04/03/2006 21:59

Poor you busy - and lots of sympathy from here to your dd - I only remember once having an ear infection and I cried all night it was so painful. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in really fast and make her feel much better.

We spent today at the National History Museum - with Iris doing her latest trick of quacking really loudly whenever she saw a bird or anything resembling a bird!

BonyM · 05/03/2006 19:15

Oh Busy - sorry to hear that you are all poorly - especially dd. How awful. It's so stressful as well, isn't it, when you have to work and the children are sick? Hope you all make speedy recoveries.

Lol at Iris quacking Pidge Smile. Grace only has one animal noise - a roar. It seems very clever that we ask her how a lion goes and she roars, until she does the same for every other animal she sees Grin.

She has been bombing all around the house with her push-along walker this weekend (well, dd1's old one actually). She's really got the hang of it now and goes pretty fast. She's really chuffed with herself!

busywizzy · 05/03/2006 20:17

Another bad night for DD but we seem to have had a bit of a turnaround from about lunchtime and she hasn't been in quite so much pain or so feverish. Hopefully, she's on the mend although I think it will be a few days before she's back at school. I'll just be glad once her course of medicine is complated as getting that foul smelling stuff down her four times a day has been hugely traumatic for both of us.

Harrison roars at everything too and thinks he's very clever so accompanies his roaring with lots of clapping - modest he is not Grin

JoPG · 05/03/2006 20:25

Bw - Poor DD. Hope she is soon on the mend. Will you have to take time off work to look after her? DS1 has just got over an ear infection and it is not fun! I'm sure you know this, but do try and keep all water away from her ears for a good while as that can certainly make it worse.

Went to MIL's 60th birthday today. We got her a hot air balloon ride. DS1 had great fun playing with his cousin, they get on really well and are always plotting something between them! Freya however was a complete pain in the bum! She cried every time my MIL even looked at her, spat all her dinner out, constantly harassed the dog and tried to crawl into the wood burning stove. Not exactly relaxing! It was a lovely day, but I was glad to get home. Am looking forward to a quiet day at home tomorrow.

busywizzy · 06/03/2006 07:52

Harrison was in bed at 6.30pm last night, DD by 7.30pm and I went to bed at 9.00pm Shock DD then slept through until 5.30am before waking and needing medicine so I feel bionic today having had more sleep last night than I've had in the past three days combined Smile Smile Smile Have been up since then mind you as just got DD back to sleep when Harrison woke up but I don't care Smile

Thanks for the reminder Jo about water. I had actually forgotten about that Blush until I suggested we wash DD's hair last night and she reminded me - bad mummy

Keeping DD at home today as I work from home on Monday's anyway but hopefully she'll go back to school tomorrow. I have felt ever so slightly bad about being away from the office in only my second week back but my concern for DD far outweighs that Smile I'm lucky anyway as I can just work from home, rather than actually having to take time off.

Oh yes and .....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Happy birthday Harry Smile Smile.

Have just put Grace down for her nap and she is roaring to herself Grin. Maybe she's not tired after all...

Pidge · 06/03/2006 09:34

Happy Birthday Harry! Hip hip hooray.

I sometimes thinking I'm dreaming that these babies are really turning one! Seems like a mere moment ago we were all bulging and waiting for action.

JoPG · 06/03/2006 11:23

Happy Birthday Harry!

Lots of hugs and kisses from Freya xxxx (and me!)

Cristina7 · 06/03/2006 21:34

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY!

I hope you had a nice day.

Cristina7 · 07/03/2006 18:48

It's quiet in here today.

I stayed at home because I have a cold and the AUT is on strike today so I thought i'd do some stuff from home rather than cross a picket line. I took Silvia in at nursery because I was poorly and thought i'd concentrate better alone.

DH and I have discussed about possibly having a third! Silvia is so easy going that we think we could manage with another one. The problem for me is of course my age (40 now). Also we will take a relaxed approach to things and not start obessing over charts etc as that would be mad. Anyway, you here are the first I've told this to and probably the only ones

Cristina7 · 07/03/2006 18:52

Sorry, got interupted there, Sylvia loves hitting the keyboard with her feet. Anyway, so we won't be telling others as we don't want to have people asking - especially since it might not happen anyway. (Getting my periods back would be some kind of start...)

Busy - I think i'll be driving in the end on Saturday. I keep changing my mind between driving and train. Is this Leo place close to the station?

popsycalindisguise · 07/03/2006 19:37

Thank you for birthday wishes. we had a nice day but he is full of cold and has been running temperaryures for the least towo nights

his sleep is dreadful. i stopped counting at TEN wak ups last night

but ho hum:)

Cristina - How do you spell DD's name? Sylvia or Silvia? I think I keep getting it worng sorry

busywizzy · 07/03/2006 19:43

Cristina, what lovely news. It's amazing isn't it how much more relaxed it is second time round, even though in so many ways, I think it's actually harder having two, certainly all the juggling. Trying to get three of us up, fed, dressed, packed up and out the house by 8.30am is an aspiration I've only achieved once in the three weeks I've been back at work Smile Then at the other end of the day, it's completely mad trying to get both of them bathed and ready for bed, with some homework thrown in for good measure.

And yet, I think it's all much easier and I think I could manage it with a third. The difference is, I never want to be pregnant again, I never want to give birth again and I'm too old to go through those early newborn weeks again. Oh yes, and DH would leave me if I told him I was having another Grin

DD much better today and went back to school, although we did start the day with the nosebleed from hell. She woke up with blood pouring out of her nose, it was on the pillow, her sheets and all over her. Took 20 minutes to stop bleeding by which time we'd used up half a box of tissues. Didn't seem to bother her though.

Leo's is close to the M3 motorway (junction 5) and by a train line (Hook) I'll see if I can find a map for anyone who's still interested in coming along. I'm really looking forward to meeting the babies I've heard so much about.
