When are you going? If you're going that morning, just tell her Santa brought them to yours, and you're taking them there for her to open. If going before, you'll have to just pack when she's gone to bed :)

Lulu is having her first sleepover tonight, he best friend has come to stay. The little fuckers won't go to sleep!!! Keep coming in the living room saying they can't get to sleep.

And violet is poorly again, got he worst cough, kept her awake from when she went to bed at. 6.30 till about 1.30, then awake again at 5.30. I have been giving her the inhaler which is helping, but she keeps waking. It's been awful today, she's really not happy. Most of the afternoon she's just had his drone, just a cry on and on and on in the same tone. Really horrible.

And speak of the devil, she's woke again :(

lizandlulu · 17/11/2012 21:52

Oh, we are going to mils house 75 mile away at Christmas.

lizandlulu · 17/11/2012 21:54

Oh, think she's dropped off again.

I am going to ring the doctors Monday, see about this medicine he doctor mentioned when we was at the hospital the other week. She said there was something she could take daily to prevent her from getting this bad chest all the time. Take it daily from about September to march. It's too much for hr to keep getting this, it's too regular. It must be awful or her :(

KLou111 · 18/11/2012 08:31

Poor violet Liz it must be terrible for her. What is it she has? Is it like asthma?
Hope you got some sleep.
Did lulu and her friends finally sleep?

Euan has been coughing in the mornings and evenings for a few weeks, not in the day though which is odd.
Will take him to the docs before hols

lizandlulu · 18/11/2012 15:29

Well first the doctors said she was just a'happy wheezer' she doesn't seem very sodding happy!

It's hrd to describe, it's like she's finding it had to breathe, like it's a lot of effort. The inhaler does take it off for a short while, but the effects don't last long.

She is so unhappy, the droning cry is still here today. Keep dosing her up on cough stuff and calpol.

She kaput waking last night, I saw every hour except 4 where she must have slept abit longer.

Lulu and her freind finally went to sleep at 10.30, then decided to wake up at 5.30!! I made them wait till 6.30 before letting them get up and put he telly on, I got up at 7. So as you can imagine, I am stroppy to say the least!

KLou111 · 19/11/2012 11:16

Oh no Liz sounds like you're having a right time of it, poor you :(
How was violet last night?

Quick question, what do you do with regards milk on holiday? Euan has a cup in the morning, and one before bed, but cows milk abroad will taste funny, so not sure to get a tub of growing up milk it something and try it on him this week?

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 19/11/2012 12:37

She slept pretty well thank god? O does her up before bed ith her inhalr, calpol and cough stuff, and she woke a couple of times, but not enough to make me go to her, and she got up at 7. She's alot better today, not such an effort to breathe. I have kept her home tho.

I rang the doctors explaining that I didn't really need to see a doctor, just needed to talk to one about her medicine, and I have got to ring back atv1.30

lizandlulu · 19/11/2012 12:42

Oh, and re the milk on holiday, she never drinks s bottle when we are away.

The other week in benidorm I managed to get cravendale in a shop round the corner, but I think cause it was room temperature ( I took it out the fridge a bit before she would want it ) rather than slightly warm, she wouldn't drink it.

Yes it's a good idea to see if he wants something else before you go. Does he need it to settle? Or just cause Å·ou want him to drink it?

On holiday when she wouldn't have a bottle, I thought, ah ha, no more bottles for violet. Then we came home and she wouldn't settle without it, so had to give her it back. For now anyway!

KLou111 · 19/11/2012 15:50

Glad you had a better night. Does she seem a bit happier?

No he doesn't need milk to settle, as we've run out a few times! But he likes it in the morning. Going to Asda in a min so will get a box I think.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 19/11/2012 17:19

Is Worth trying it.

Yes she is loads happier today, she's still chesty, but not like she was before. The doctor rang back, said he didn't know of any medicine they can take daily, and to keep using the inhalers.

Why did the bloody doctor at the hospital mention it???? I can't work it out!

KLou111 · 20/11/2012 15:35

Drs are bloody useless aren't they!! Hope you got some sleep.

Well, currently trying to get Euan out of his sleeping bag, so far so good. 1st night last night and he slept til 7.45 so all good :)

Bought him a proper little duvet set and pillow today Grin
Bought a single size and just wrapped it under the foot of his mattress. Have taken the bumpers off too. He's had a pillow under his sheet since 4 months, so have brought it on top. Got 4.5 tog vet cos that's what's recommended. I didn't think it was very thick, but putting it on his cot, it's lovely and cosy.
got this one but from Dunelm

OP posts:
KLou111 · 20/11/2012 15:47

Oh, got some milk last night, the c&g growing up one, tastes like custard! Euan seemed to like it, so going to take that away.
1 week today!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 20/11/2012 19:38

Hi ladies.

How are you both?

That's a cute set Klou. Does Euan not move around in his cot? I would like to give him a little pillow but he moves around so much.
Glad he likes the new milk too.

liz your hospital is talking crap (sorry). We went to the urgent care centre on Sunday because Joshua's temp was sky high and while we were there we were discussing his cough and wheezing and he mentioned the tablets you take every day.
How is she now?

Joshua is getting better but his cough is awful again so going to take him back on thurs I think.

KLou111 · 20/11/2012 21:07

Going to phone in the morning about Euans cough. I still have mine too, it's been going on weeks cos that's what I had the anti b's for!!

Euan moves around the head of his cot iwish as I've just gone into him to say night night as I went out when he went to bed, and he was in the fetal position right at the top of his pillow. I've just tucked him in (loosly). Looks very cosy, and like a little boy. Where's my baby gone :(
He doesn't seem to be moving much around it now, like upside down like he used to!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 20/11/2012 21:08

Why don't the doctors want to give her anything??? I am going to do abit more research and try and find out what it's called. If there is something she could have daily, why is the doctor denying all knowledge????? Ohhhhh it makes me so bloody mad!!!!

She is so much better today, been to nursery and slept well last night, still very fleghmy, but no cough and not much wheezy ness no more.

Good job Euan likes the milk klou, another thing you can cross off your list! I bet you can't wait! I find going on holiday sometimes more stressful than staying at home, but it's the different scenery that makes it worthwhile. Just something out of the ordinary.
And that set is lovey! I kept lulus duvet so have got that for when she's really to have it put on, and have bought a couple of lovely patchwork quilt things to go on top but she's got blankets at the min, I took her out her growbag weeks go, but she always moves about now. Somehow she manages to get out from under her blankets, lays on top the wrong way up, without even creasing the blankets! I don't know how she does it!

Iwish, is Joshua having cough stuff? We have tixylix and it seems quite good. Hoping he gets better soon, it must be awful for them.

Oh, have just been on the elc website, I got an email with offers on, so just had a quick look and got one of those trikes like iwish has got. Reduced from £70 to £62, then got an extra 20% off!! Had to spend £75 to get the money off so bought a little cooking frying pan toy to make it up to £75 and got the 20% off, making both just over £60! I am well pleased with that! And free delivery

Iwish · 21/11/2012 14:08

Awww bless him klou such a big boy. Joshua is all over the place in his cot every night.

Yeh he's had 2 lots of anti biotics for his coughs which got rid of the first cough but the second one it just got loads better but now it's come back.
I tried the cal cough but it did sod all.
Wow that's a good deal you got at elc! Are those her Xmas prezzies?

Btw I'm getting broody! Noooooo!

lizandlulu · 21/11/2012 17:25

Well, will prob just keep the trike in its box, we aren't going to use it Rory's good while just yet, where I live, it's not like I can just walk to the park or town unless you can garantee good weather and I'm not pushed for time, which is never!!! But will use it next summer.

Is Joshua any better? Violet seems a lot bette,r but them kept randomly crying in the night. Not good. But she did the most disgusting pooh this morning so I. Wonder if he had belly ache.

Iwish · 21/11/2012 20:24

Joshua is still using his trike but I wrap him up and put gloves on etc when we go to the park.
Yeh he seems better now just got the cough. Think I'm taking him to the docs tomorrow.
Hopefully violet will go back to sleeping through again soon. Glad she's getting better tho.

Joshua slept well last night finally after 3 weeks of crap sleep. Hope he keeps it up.

KLou111 · 21/11/2012 20:43

That's a great deal Liz! They emailed me the other day but had already bought everything.
Euan loves his trike, but pain on the winter as his coat makes the straps tight!

Well, have just gone up to Euan, and he was upside-down!! First for ages, bloody typical. I picked him up and tucked him back in and he didn't wake thank god.
He woke at 5.30 this morning and I waited for him to go back off, snuck in to see if he was still in his covers (wasn't), he heard me and wouldn't go back off! So was up at 6. My fault, note to self, if he ain't crying...leave him!!!

And broody iwish??? Oh god! Must admit, been thinking about it, but still not convinced at the mo, just getting a bit of normality back lol!

Just having a bottle of prosecco. We're having a murder mystery for new year, so going through the cheaper champagnes, can't bloody afford to be serving the proper stuff for 10 of us all night! Don't really like this one. Cava next!

OP posts:
Iwish · 21/11/2012 20:56

Yeh can't believe it klou. Didn't think I'd be broody for a while lol. Keep seeing lots of lovely newborns and pregnant mummies. We are going to be ttc next year sometime. Not that we are being that careful atm.

Bloody hell 6:00! Bet he was in bed early tonight.
Oooh murder mystery sounds cool Grin

lizandlulu · 21/11/2012 21:14

Ha ha ha I leart that lesson aaaggggeeessss ago!!!!!! About 7years ago to be precise!!!!!!
I won't go into her while shes awake unless she's crying, I won't take her out of the bedroom at night time, I won't turn the light on, I won't take her into our bed. I am quite strict thinking about it!!!

You hosting the murder mystery night? Sounds interesting! I wouldn't know where to start! Sounds good tho! Very different. Although I would def not be serving champagne! Cherry coke is about as strong as you get in my house Grin

KLou111 · 22/11/2012 08:00

Well, Euan is going back in his bag tonight! He woke at 3.30 and wouldn't go off, I went in at 4 and put him in his bag, but wouldn't settle, so came in with us at 4.30, woke at 6.45. Knackered!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 22/11/2012 08:05

Lol at cherry coke Liz!
We stayed at a friends a few years ago in the isle of man over Xmas and new year and they got a murder mystery for Xmas, we played that new years eve and was really good. Went to charity shops and got costumes. I've got a black bob wig that turned up yesterday, and already have a black catsuit I'm going to wear.
Ordered the 60s decorations yesterday and some crime scene tape as need to get cracking as not back til 11th Dec and going to be thinking about Xmas then. Looking forward to it :) Going to get some masking tape and put a body shape on the kitchen floor lol.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 22/11/2012 12:59

Ohh crime scene tape will look ace!!

Wy do you want him to come out his bag?
