bc just read back a bit and saw you have a c-section today. Thinking of you! (BTW I loved both my csections - don't know why anyone would have a baby any other way.)

Was professional photo day at Winter's nursery today. Did not go well. Winter screamed and cried for ages before calming down (she was confused because I was there - it was not one of her nursery days we just popped in for the photos). I had to placate her with biscuits.

PenguinArmy · 05/04/2012 13:12

bc good luck today

dd woke after a three hour nap with a temp of 40.1 :(

Bearcrumble · 05/04/2012 15:11

Thanks everyone. All good. Marianne arrived today at 11.20 weighing 6lb exactly. She has dark hair so nothing like Alex.

PenguinArmy · 05/04/2012 15:15

Wonderful news, congratulations Bc and welcome to your DD!
May you get plenty of rest and recover well xx

Oh PA, argh.... Sad

StoneBaby · 05/04/2012 18:04

bc big congratulations. How are you? How is she doing?

PA your poor dd. fxshe gets better soon.

I've found free wifi at Wetherspoon Grin more at the weekend when we'll be back home

AbsB · 05/04/2012 20:10

Congratulations BC and welcome to the world Marianne! Thanks

Stangirl · 05/04/2012 22:13

bc Congratulations - love the name Marianne.

PA Is Calpol not lowering the temp? I always freak when DD's temp goes too high - she's been in a&e 3 times with super high temps and was hospitalized for 3 days once. I think I now know to chill a bit and wait till the Calpol kicks in.

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 05/04/2012 22:54

Congratulations BC. Look forward to hearing all about Marianne and seeing the pics on FB. Take care and try to enjoy your enforced period of rest.

PA hope DD is better soon.

Stan lovely to hear from you.

Busy week here. Have introduced behaviour charts for both boys! Back when feeling more sane!

LittlebearH · 06/04/2012 00:27

Ok food for DD:
if wakes before 7am 5oz milk
7.45am 2 weetabix and nicks a bit of my toast
10am snack - grapes/pureed fruit pouch/rasains
12 noon vegetable risotto, yoghurt
2.30pm snack cheese/biscuit/breadstick
5pm sausage, broccoli pasta easteregg-- grapes and blueberries
6pm banana
7pm 7oz milk

PenguinArmy · 06/04/2012 07:50

this morning was the first time that ibuprofen brought it to 37, otherwise yesterday it was normally only brought to 39, 38.6 a few times. Calpol only lowers her temp a bit, but was saving it mostly for when we ran out of ibuprofen dosing. So hopefully that means she's coming out of it now. At 5:30 it was 40.2 again.

SconesForTea · 06/04/2012 08:44

Congratulations bc! Marianne is a beautiful name. How are you feeling?

PA have you taken her to doc?

BeeMyBaby · 06/04/2012 11:13

Hi, I know its a bit late in the day... over two years in but can I join? I thought about joining when DD1 was first born (3 Feb 10) and skim read a bit but couldn't keep up etc, but I'm now on a postnatal thread for DD2 (Dec 11) and am finding all I have to talk about is DD1 as DD2 seems a doddle but everything is new for me with DD1. Btw, Congratulations BC!

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 06/04/2012 12:00

Welcome bee! of course you can join.

BeeMyBaby · 06/04/2012 13:35
InmaculadaConcepcion · 06/04/2012 14:04

Welcome Bee - lovely to have you on board! And congratulations on DD2 - PA and Scones both have DC2 fairly close in age to her. I look forward to hearing about your DD1's antics as you settle in!

PA how's DD today?

Lovely pix of your DD, Bc! Hope you're recovering well.

I'm just enjoying my new maternity wardrobe, thanks to eBay, various charity shops and New Look. I realised the stuff I had for DD doesn't work as well when I'm chasing after a toddler (too short, too low-cut...). Anyway, I think I'm now sufficiently kitted out to last me through - and a lot of the stuff will work well for breast-feeding subsequently too.

DD fell asleep on our way back from the PILs this morning. We were quite happy not to insist on a lunchtime nap, but she's such a creature of habit, she insisted on getting in her buggy and settling down as usual. Not surprisingly, she hasn't slept, but it's given us a break anyway [busmile]

AbsB · 06/04/2012 17:42

I'm trying to see pics of BC's DD? Where are you seeing them IC?
Welcome Bee!
PA I would take DD to the doctor if her temp is still high. I know nothing about this sort of thing but my sis who is a doctor is always ferrying her two to A&E when they have a fever. I know it's probably the last place you want to be over Easter weekend.
I am ill today and have managed to send DD off to my mum's for a couple of hours so I can go on MN sleep [bugrin]

InmaculadaConcepcion · 06/04/2012 18:32

They're on Bc's own FB page, Abs
Hope you feel better soon, too x

SconesForTea · 06/04/2012 18:44

Abs the pics are on FB. Get well soon. What's wrong?

Hi Bee great to have you on board! My DD2 was born in Nov, she does seem a complied doddle compared to DD1 as a baby and also now Confused What's your set-up, do you have them both FT?

Great news on the mat gear and the bonus pm break IC Grin

Thanks for the cake Mous

PenguinArmy · 06/04/2012 18:45

Her temp has continued to be controlled by drugs today, although it still spiked to 40 when it wears off. She had longer awake today as well and a few bits of being active etc.

SconesForTea · 06/04/2012 19:00

Phew. He looks different, younger but still my handsome DH Smile
