I'm having a weepy day so will steal some cake.

BBB sounds like you just want some TLC and I would have a weepy and indulgent moment as well. Send him out for cake, chocolate and whatever else you fancy like a cleaner for a few weeks?

thanks. I didn't actually cry and my neighbour saved me from being on my own this afternoon. DD is so active again, gone is the child that was happy walking next to me and would stay in the imaginary boundaries I gave her when playing outside. I know this is the more normal DD but I did enjoy the calm stage ever so much. Grin I am going to a cafe tomorrow but now worried I missed the window of when I could take her.

DH is giving me baby free time tonight.

mous Angry for you, must have been a shock

someone flicked their ash into DS while he was in the buggy last week. Just did it behind themselves walking on the pavement without thinking there might be anyone behind them.

StoneBaby · 22/03/2012 20:18

mous Angry Angry for you. smokers People are so stupid and inconsiderate.

BBB PA big hugs

Who wants some of those or those ? I'm wondering which cakes to make this weekend, but I also have some well ripe bananas so may try to make some banoffee cupcakes Hmm

I've just done the VIP sale on Next (you just register and than can shop before the sale are made public) and managed to get a few bargains for DS next size up.

StoneBaby · 22/03/2012 20:19

Sorry should read 'Some people'

InmaculadaConcepcion · 22/03/2012 20:26

Jeez Mous that's horrifying. Angry
Some people are so incredibly thoughtless.

My vote is for the cherry chocolate variety, SB.

SocietyClowns · 22/03/2012 20:45

Mous That's awful Angry Glad your dd1 noticed so quickly! Is your dd2 ok?

SocietyClowns · 22/03/2012 20:46

SB both please, and the banoffee cupcakes as well Wink

SocietyClowns · 22/03/2012 20:51

There's a lot of cake being handed round on this thread today Grin.

Dh just freaked at the sight of my knee which has turned quite black (he is really squeamish). May go with your pink tights suggestion mous... Wink

StoneBaby · 22/03/2012 21:02

sc is it too late to try arnica? Every time DS see the little blue tub of arnica he opens his mouth and ask for more Blush

SocietyClowns · 22/03/2012 21:15

SB Thanks, I think I do have some arnica somewhere... I never think if it when it's needed Blush

StoneBaby · 22/03/2012 21:25

I carry a tub of the suff in my handbag! DS will quite often get some when I pick him up from nursery as I can see a bruise brewing (on Tuesday he banged his nose and now has a lovely purple bruise)

BigBadBear · 22/03/2012 22:47

mous that's terrible.

sb good work on the baking.

Who mentioned tights? Sainsburys does excellent purple ones.

pa Glad your day improved.

Thanks for all the support today. I really needed it.

dd2 is doing the hokey cokey in her cot again... Grin
Beautiful here today and the forecast for the Lake District is stunning for the weekend. So pleased for my friends getting married in sunshine (not something you can plan for in advance). I'll still be in tights and put a cardigan on though because my attempts to avoid fresh bruises is not working so well. I walked straight into the door frame last night and bashed my upper arm. I blame dh, he made me laugh and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going (but really it's my fault, clumsy cow) Hmm

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 23/03/2012 13:15

SB Mars and banoffee, I am not a fan of the cupcakes icings so will pass the cherry ones. Thanks....

PA I would have been livid if someone had put ashes on my baby!

Well all quiet here DD1 has 38.5 so is at home, she was crying at not going to school this morning. She also missed the smart casual day dress to raise fonds for old people care .
She might actually have given me what she has.

SocietyClowns · 23/03/2012 13:19

mous my dd1 went to school dressed in a sheep costume today Grin

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 23/03/2012 13:38

SOC you have me! sheep? Grin nursery rhyme day? welsh tradition?

SocietyClowns · 23/03/2012 14:07

Tehehe, welsh tradition, eh? No, it's Sport Relief day (whatever that means) and the children were invited to dress up as an animal Hmm. I only had her sheep outfit from the Christmas play where she was an organic sheep (of course), so she went in that. Saw a lovely assortment of tigers, ladybirds and various other animals at drop off this morning and the children were all hugely excited. It's predicted 19 degrees here today though so I think some of the tigers may shed their outfit while doing obstacle races etc. Just wondering whether I should have put some sunblock on dd1 (she's very fair).
Hope your dd1 is feeling better soon. So cruel to miss a special day! Sad

PenguinArmy · 23/03/2012 14:46

monthly fanjo visit over Grin She had her hands in there for 25 mins today Shock.

SocietyClowns · 23/03/2012 14:52

Shock PA

PenguinArmy · 23/03/2012 14:59

It's longer than DH spends in there Grin
