Lee - that is so cute! They are funny these days with what they say!

Whispers - hope the sleeping gets better soon, I am sure it is just a blip... but it is so, so tiring when you are used to more sleep. Enjoy the fish!

Claire - I am feeling OK thanks, just quite tired more than anything. Hope the job situation sorts itself out soon - where would be your ideal location?

I have next week off work (I only work mon-weds anyway and monday is an inset day). My head teacher and head of faculty have both send me really lovely e-mails about it which has made it much easier. Imogen is still going to the childminders so hopefully I really will have proper restful days too.

I decided to make the most of being stuck at home ill and attempt to start potty training Catherine today. She did really well!

Once we'd got home from dropping Alex off at school, I stripped her to the waist and put the potty out. Between then and nap time, we had 2 wees in the potty and not a single accident!

After school pick up, I stripped her again and we had another wee and 2 mini poos in the potty again with no accidents. She asked for a nappy and her trousers again when we sat down to dinner so I popped them back on and she did a poo in the nappy. Not perfect but at least it saved on cleaning up.

We stripped her again after dinner and she was OK for a little while before putting her own trousers back on just before bed. It was only with these on that we had our one and only accident just before bed.

Not bad for day 1 but I think we're going to need a few more naked days before she gets the idea. 'Luckily' it seems my tonsillitis is getting worse again so it looks like we might have plenty of opportunity

Hope everyone else is well

It's not so much the Tonsillitis any more, it's the antibiotics now I think. I've had a fairly constant headache for about 3 days now and I'm feeling achey and a bit flu like. Felt very light-headed whenever I had to bend down at Catherine's dance class this morning and now (tmi warning) have the runs too. All side effects of the antibiotics.

Worst bit is, I've even got a bit of a sore throat!

Finally plucked up the courage to call the Doctors - I am petrified of them saying I have to have them taken out. My only experience of the hospital is when I had the children and it wasn't ever good - and they're on staff training until 4pm!! There is an emergency number but I'm not sure "I'm having common Antibiotic side effects" counts as emergency so I'll just carry on.

Hi all,

Am good thanks, have had a really busy and stressful week, but luckily things have calmed down a bit now. Had major deadline at work yesterday for a project I've been working on for almost a year, and there seemed to be lots of cock ups in the last week. Then anna has been really out of sorts, I think due to back teeth coming through, but since Sunday she really had been horrendous. She was really grumpy, tantruming at the slightest thing, hitting me and pulling my hair and generally being an absolute little shit! Sad But, THANK THE LORD, she is like a different child today. I managed to get a fleeting glance in her mouth earlier on and it did look as though there was a new tooth, she has just been awful though!

Blathers, hope the doctors can come up with a sensible plan for your tonsilitis; having to put up with all the effects of the ab cannot be much fun.

Things here mc wise seem to be getting back to normal with bleeding having stopped, but no sign of AF yet. Not sure how long that will take. Only annoying thing, and not sure if this is down to change in hormone levels, is that I've now got thrush (sorry if TMIBlush) which, I don't know about you but, I find one of the most irritating things ever. Arrrggghh AngryGrin. So need to get that sorted and thus far, the canesten doesn't seem to be working.. The joys of being a woman.

Hope you are all ok.

I've tried the pessary Lee, might have to go for the tablet. It is just soooooo irritating...

Blatherskite · 24/02/2012 09:37

I get thrush because of all of the antibiotics I've been taking. It's awful. Hope the tablet works.

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 24/02/2012 23:09

I think if there is a hell, that is what will be waiting for me there...thrush and cystitis..... Grin

Hercule - trying not to think about where I'd like to go & just look for jobs & see if I get offered anything. Thurs interview was really challenging & don't think I did well enough to be offered job so back to the drawing board. Would like to go home (Suffolk) having said that. My sister's getting divorced & I wish I was closer to support her.I would like my boys to grow up closer to my family too. We'll see what comes up & make the best of wherever it is though.

Blathers - hope the tonsilitis & antibiotic side effects are getting better now. Good luck with the potty training. Not looking forward to that with ds2.

Ethelred - hope you're feeling better too. No experience with thrush so can't offer you any advice.

dh asking ds2 who he loves. Mummy is always first on his list. My little star. Want to keep him this age forever.

Blatherskite · 26/02/2012 14:47

I really ought to wait until I'm well to potty train! I've had another few days of feeling rotten and she's been back in nappies again. I'll be confusing her more than anything at this rate!!

Blatherskite · 29/02/2012 12:32

Yes I did get free Sky. In fact we still have free Sky. I've rung them but they don't seem all that interested in turning it off! Confused Grin

I suppose Sky is a bit more exciting that bathroom cleaner :p

Ooo, free sky for a year, brilliant! I've used all my mn luck on the Young's fish product test, was really lucky with that one! I got the halos and horns shampoo/body wash too, but regretted that one as it smells disgusting and DH won't let me throw it out!

Blatherskite · 29/02/2012 15:57

I think I applied for the fish and the Halos and Horns too!! I apply for pretty much all of them Blush

Perhaps MNHQ are sick of seeing my name pop up? Hmm

WhispersOfWickedness · 29/02/2012 22:49

Hehe, I do too, Blathers! Would it be rude of me to suggest to them some things I would like to test out?! I'd love to test out a steam mop at the moment! Grin

Lee, the Young's one is a total marketing ploy, but I can't say I mind WinkGrin

Blatherskite · 02/03/2012 15:43

Sky one ditto - and one I am happy to support while it's free Grin
