Too much weight loss post pregnancy

Just wanted some advice re post natal weight loss. I had my second DD on 22nd December this year. The birth was an ECS which all went well, I have had some pain on one side and in the last week increasing red blood loss my GP put me on augmentin which I started yesterday. What I didn't realise until I got on the scales this evening is I am already back to my pre-pregnancy weight (8st 8 - I am 5ft 5) I put on about 1 and a half stone during my pregnancy. Is this something I should be concerned about? ( it took me a few months to loose my baby weight with my first pregnancy)

Hmmm have you considered your thyroid? It can be activated during and after pregnancy and cause you to gain or lose a substantial amount of weight in a very short time frame. Maybe ask to get some bloods taken for a thyroid check to see if it is underactive/overactive at your hospital x

I would speak to dr but I have dropped back similarly quickly after ecs in mid jan. this is mostly due to low appetite as have been unwell (won't bore with details)and unable to eat so weight dropped off . This didn't happen with dd1 .

Also anaemia can make you feel nauseous etc so get that checked
