Ooh, ooh, just remembered miracle bath soak too! Balneum. It was excellent for DD's chicken pos and I use it whenever her bottom is a bit sore or if generally I think she needs a moisturise. My grandmother is super sensitive skin wise and swears by this and it helps the eczema on my hands too. Balneum (expensive but you use a tiny amount) is easily available in the chemist. I got Weleda at Waitrose, but its also on Amazon.

HuggyPomBear · 30/01/2012 22:05

Sorry, over posting. Balneum is slightly medicated soya oil.

NoHunIntended · 30/01/2012 22:15

Huggy, he was BFed on demand, for as long as he wished. He's been good the last few days on three short feeds, 10 minutes or so each, better than I dared hope. Think my bosoms need to hurry up and adjust! The soreness is just because they are swollen.

Beeswax and lanolin are vegetarian, just not vegan.

HuggyPomBear · 30/01/2012 22:38

I knew beeswax was, but thought lanolin wasn't because of the process [dim emoticon]....

NoHunIntended · 31/01/2012 00:16

Lanolin is from the sheep's wool, well, secreted from their skin, so can be collected without killing the sheep.

Thanks Huggy. I used to use Balneum myself when I was a kid and had totally forgotten about it. She seems to be improving.

Congtratulations Xav lovely news.

Glad the dropping feeds is going ok Nohun.

floozietoozie · 01/02/2012 23:51

hi all. I am following. Congraulations Xav, a perfect balance for you Smile. Lovely name too.

Huggy, sorry to hear dd stopped bf before you wanted. Dd did the same at 13 months and I was very sad but there we go. NoHun, hope the reduced feeds have the desired outcome. Do I take it your periods still haven't returned?

Had some lovely news today. One of my best friends told me she is five and ahalf months pg. We live in different countries and she's been texting me trying to sort out a time to call for ages, so I had my suspicions! She's been trying for a second for a while now and has had one definite and one suspected mc in that time. And NoHun she's 41 now so there is hope - you're a youngster! Actually one of my friends here had her second in October at 42 and was 43 last week...

Have had lots of illness here, mainly dd bless her. Sick bug all one week, cold and temp last week and she's suffering a lot from constipation too which is really worrying me. Giving her lactulose at the moment.

Must go to bed! So tired all the time, but stupid for staying up when I shouldn't.

NoHunIntended · 02/02/2012 15:09

Thanks. So far, so good. My periods have been back for a few months, ft. Should have a baby by now!!! I know I am not ancient, but I am just aware of the increased risks to a baby, the older we get. And I'd prefer a small gap, ideally.

Congratulations to your friend.

Hope you have a well household soon!

Enjoy your reunion with your DH Huggy Smile Will be lovely for DD to wake up to her Daddy as well.

Nappy rash has practically gone thankfully. It must have been teething as two new teeth have appeared all of a sudden - that takes the total to 12 now
