Congratulations MrsW!

Glad everything went well Frak.

F hasn't developed The Pox yet, but is refusing to sleep tonight. I'm hoping it's not the start of it. He seems pretty bloody happy, just refusing to sleep and instead making a big dribbly mess in his bed.

He's now downstairs with me waiting for DH to rescue me get home. He's desperately trying to get mummy to play, or trying to grab the remotes (he's only having cuddly mouse, no other toys at this time of night).

He's not obviously in pain or uncomfortable since he's fine here with me. I find this infuriating! It's my time now (to clean up his dinner dishes & hang his nappies, obviously)

Rant done, feel better. Thanks!

We are here, not finished all the wrapping and now my mother is poorly, so I'm doing the Christmas dinner! Wish me luck Grin
Having a lovely time though and DF is keeping us well supplied with alcohol so all will be well.

DairyBeetle · 24/12/2011 21:27

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow.

Congratulations to your SiL on the arrival of Baby'D' MrsW It is exciting becoming an Auntie isn't it? (Not that we've met our nephew yet!)

Buck we have a late night baby here too. Yesterday and today he's been still going at gone 9pm. He's starting to get grumpy now (and is shouting/screaming with a grin!) but he's like a Duracell Bunny...goes on, and on, and on...

Frak and Ali hope things are going well at you respective families.

Anyway there is a rather tasty bottle of Merlot taunting me, so it might be round two/three/four/five of getting S to bed so that I can enjoy a glass in peace!

Happy Boxing Day!

Many many thanks for the thoughtful ss. A gorgeous bib for ds (which is on now) and some Cath Kidston goodies for me. Thank you Santa!

We're off to the IL's today, but not until this afternoon, so we have this morning at home so the boys can play with their new toys.

Have a good day one and all x

MrsWajs · 26/12/2011 15:12

Happy boxing day! Hope everyone had a good day yesterday :) Thanks very much for R's secret santa present - it's lovely!

Baby D has a name finally, not sure I'll post it on here though as it's VERY identifiable so I'll post it on fb instead.

MumToTiny · 26/12/2011 15:45

Happy boxing day everyone! We had a fab day yesterday - very busy though. T was a bit overwhelmed with all the pressies and attention, so we kept some back for today - including his SS present. Thank you Santa for his tambourine and thank heaven that it has an off switch! Shake shake shake! Xmas Grin

Hope everyone has had a lovely first Christmas with their babies - just got to find room for all the new toys now!

SarnianStollenStealer · 27/12/2011 01:17

Happy Christmas everyone, hope it went well. P had a lovely time and both DC liked their secret santa gifts.
Our only mishap was smelling something burning during Christmas lunch at the PILs. It was the christmas pudding which had boiled dry and the bowl was melting inside the steamer saucepan so I rescued it and just cut off the top inch where the plastic had melted Xmas Blush

In my defence MIL said she had topped it up but her short term memory isn't what it used to be Sad

Congratulations on becoming an Auntie MrsW. Smile

caramellokoalalover · 27/12/2011 13:53

Merry Christmas everybody! Hope everyone had a brilliant time. Thank you to my SS for the lovely bath toys - if S's leg kicking is anything to go by, she loves them Xmas Grin

Lovely news MrsW about your little niece arriving in time for Xmas too. Congrats!

Cyclebump · 27/12/2011 16:19

Merry belated Christmas!

Congrats MrsW and sympathy to all those with I'll babies as we're in that camp too.

On Christmas Eve H started projectile vomiting and screaming when he did it. I threw up all night Christmas night and now it's just the EXPLOSIVE baby diarrhoea to deal with! Yay!

On the plus side we got a playpen from the PIL, it's fab and I'm using it right now so I can post... Oh and I got gorgeous earrings that match my wedding/engagement ring from DH Smile

Sounds like everyone got fab SS's, I wish I could have joined in but am just way too disorganised at the moment!

Starshaped · 27/12/2011 18:23

Just checking in to thank P's very generous secret santa. Her little outfit is gorgeous and the chocolates have down very well with me! Thank you Smile

We've had a brilliant Christmas weekend. Hope everybody else has and that all the poorly babies get well soon.

architien · 27/12/2011 19:37

Opps sorry GGF:
I just had a read through our thread and realised you were looking for recommendations within the Cairn O'Mohr catalogue a little while back for your DH. I can really recommend the raspberry one as it has this strange attribute that the first sip tastes completely different to any sips that follow and is delicious. The area is also famous for the quality of raspberry fruit it produces. Gooseberry could be recommended for similar reasons. I like the Oak Leaf wines as they are surprisingly quaff able. The others such as strawberry elderberry etc are lovely but taste exactly as you would expect. They are all lovely (we tend to get a bottle if there is a celebration). Hope that all makes sense.

SarnianStollenStealer · 27/12/2011 20:00

Thanks Arch, I thought I might order some as a father's day present for next year.
