Oh dear chilli - are you keeping up with the meds? Alternate every 2 hrs and stay on top of any pain. Maybe docs tomorrow?

Fizz I didn't see it as insensitive at all, though I've not got a bad sleeper so maybe im not the one to judge. I am impressed with your house wifelyness though Grin

I used naptime wisely today, went back to bed! Still feeling better for it now, should do it more often. Though it takes a certain kind of discipline to shut your eyes to all the jobs that need doing - helped by me not opening the curtains beforehand Grin

Fizz I'm impressed with your stuff today. I've refused to even consider making tea. DH rooted something out of the freezer. Apologies for the post earlier - I was suffering. M and I had a bit of a nap and she seems back to normal temperature and her normal self at the moment :) It'll be a VERY early night here.

Shit, shit, shit, shit. We've just found out someone DH worked with was murdered. They were all told this afternoon that he'd died but nothing else was said, just looked on the BBC News site and there it was. He was a lovely bloke and only 50 so it was a shock that he'd died but this is, just. I don't know. DH is quite upset and is now calling some of the others from work to break it to them (they'd all gone out for a drink but DH left early so they don't know yet). I'm not sure what to say to him.

Sorry for the stream of consciousness there, I'm just so shocked. Sad

Oh Dairy how awful. A death is always awful but in such a violent way hits really hard. Sad

You can only be there for him. Give him a hug. and have one yourself from me (((((hug)))))

JKSLtd · 12/01/2012 21:18

What Fizz said ((hugs))

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/01/2012 21:33

Dairy :( Your poor DH, and that poor man's family :( All of you will be in my prayers.

chilli - I hope you are all fast asleep!

Both boys asleep, although I've had to resettle T once already. He has chickenpox :( and is definitely not quite himself, he has been attached to my boob literally ALL day.

kittycatcat · 12/01/2012 22:06

Oh god dairy how awful. Hope ur all ok.

I've given s 5ml of calprofen and am panicking.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 12/01/2012 22:17

Kitty how heavy is he? Maybe give NHS direct a call? I'm sure it will be fine, just as a one off. How long ago did you give it?

Starshaped · 12/01/2012 22:24

Oh Dairy how awful :(

I remember you saying what your DH does (it's the same field as my DH) and think I've read about the murder on the BBC website. It sounds shocking. I hope your DH is ok.

kittycatcat · 12/01/2012 22:36

He's pretty much 18 1bs. Gave. It to him about 920. Have heard him fidget.

GlaikitFizzog · 12/01/2012 23:12

I've doen that kitty,, by mistake, thinking it was calpol. I only realised when I licked the spoon. Spoke to my GP who said it was ok, he could prescribe that amount to a 4 month old if needed. B was 6 mo.

GlaikitFizzog · 12/01/2012 23:14

Yikes 13 posts left, do we have a title?

OhFraktiousTree · 13/01/2012 06:20

Inspiration fail...

April 2011 - if our babies chat as much as us no-one's ever going to achieve anything!

Or April 2011 - silence might be golden but the April ladies are diamond so chat on

dairy I'm so sorry to hear that. The poor man and everyone who knew him, especially your DH and his colleagues, will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Cyclebump · 13/01/2012 08:03

That's awful Dairy. My dad is in the unfortunate position of having been close to two people who have been murdered (completely separate incidences).

I know it's not at the forefront of his mind but he might want to prepare himself for press intrusion. My dad just didn't expect it when his aunt was killed and, when they turned up to the funeral, it was a shock and upset him more. He said if he'd known they'd be there he could have at least prepared himself (mentally, clearly he didn't speak to them).

kittycatcat · 13/01/2012 08:42

frak I like the second one

Thanks fizz. he's fine today.

JKSLtd · 13/01/2012 11:16

Kitty - glad he's fine, i've not used Calprofen, either calpol or kids neurofen, what are the doses meant to be?

Frak - I second the second one :)

Right DD napping, i need to get on with jobs....
