good luck for the night ahead mlic! how's dh feeling?

weirdly my two have rarely woken each other up vik, like you i was really worried about it when i was pg with A. our walls are v thick tho - as i've said before we still have to have a monitor for each of them otherwise we often wouldn't hear them even if we're in the next room.

chul and memph A had her first bit of chocolate at nursery last month (a choc pudding not actual chocolate) and hated it too. She wolfs down cake tho so she's obv her mother's daughter Smile

just made the MOST divine carrot cupcakes.

i am fine, just mega busy. like, booking stuff (getting my hair cut for the first time since May last year and some highlights as i am going grey at a rate of knotts.
Franks is ill (again) he's on 2 hourly inhalers, coughing his guts up. we can't put dd2 in with him until he's better so are going to wait til after we get back from grannys (next weekend) to re-do it,i think it's good (for her) to be close to us too now she's starting school. not sure how 2 in together will work,F screamed the place down last night in our bed for about 15mins and she slept through it though so we need to decide whether to put her down first and hope he doesn't wake her, both together or him first (meaning we'll be up even earlier!)

DesperateHousewife21 · 19/09/2011 07:37

Trudy- how awful for that woman :(

Stac- we had dinner at fils house but it was lovely, his wife does the cooking and she does it well Grin

D is still having either one or two naps a day depending on his mood, it doesn't seem to make a difference to his night time sleep though.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 19/09/2011 07:53

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad night

He started screaming at 11:45pm. I left him briefly but was concerned about his brother, so I put him back in the spare room. His brother was flat out when I left but then got up four times between 12:30 and 1:15. The last time he went for a wee and then went back to sleep until 7am. I didn't hear another peep out of babyboy so I think he just wasn't happy in a strange room. I think I'll give up on the idea and leave it now until he's older.

Babyboy likes chocolate :)

CakeandRoses · 19/09/2011 08:24

sounds bad mlic! will you make the spare room into his room now?

My Bigboy finally has all of his teeth! His 20th has pretty much just all broken thhru Now watch him turn into an angel, you doubters Grin

Ladybaby has a mouthful all of red, angry bumps and partially broken thru teeth. we're all sleeping so well Hmm

trudy so awful for the poor woman on your thread Sad, it must be so hard to have 'seen' her go from early pg to this tragic outcome. try not to dwell on it too much yourself to the stage where it's making you worried.

ph i just don't know how you're managing with poor Fong's chest. it sounds horrific but you're doing great - i wish the docs could have told you that rather than having a go about you doing what they told you to do Confused i don't know if you saw my question before about milk?

Mobility survey

Crawling?

Walking?

Running?

Using any form of transport on their own?

Mobility survey

Crawling?
Babygirl suddenly stopped crawling altogether about a week ago. Quite sad in a way as that's the last time I'll have a crawling baby

Walking?
Very confidently now but is still falling off balance quite often. She also does that zombie-turn where she sometimes leans back and waves her arms to change direction and sometimes ends up on her arse/back.

Running?
Just started last week. It's quite funny if we're in bed as we just see a bald head fly past the foot of the bed.

Using any form of transport on their own?
Not really, she has a small tiger 4-wheeled bike thingy but she can only go backwards on it, sit on it and fall off it.

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 19/09/2011 08:36

Bigboy also has one of these: www.amazon.co.uk/Hippychick-WBTIGS-Wheelybug-Tiger-Ride-on/dp/B0012S84D4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1316417737&sr=8-3 but she can't work that out either

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 19/09/2011 08:37

oh and this is the one she has. she loves it even tho it's the things that has caused the most injuries so far

OP posts:
Woodlands · 19/09/2011 08:58

Poor F, tsc - hope he gets better soon.

yay for the last of F's teeth, cake! Hooray!

My boy likes chocolate. A lot.

Mobility survey

Crawling?
Yes, at a million miles an hour. Can go up and down stairs pretty efficiently. Can climb onto and down from sofas/beds fairly safely.

Walking?
No, only holding hands/pushing a trolley but he'd rather crawl.

Running?
Nope.

Using any form of transport on their own?
No, he has a ride on toy but not got the hang of it yet.

I watched that Babies film last night, the one following four babies (one each from Mongolia, Namibia, Japan and the US) from birth to walking and it made me realise how sweet and short-lived the crawling phase is in the grand scheme of things. I think I should enjoy it while it lasts!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 19/09/2011 09:11

Poor fong. He really has been through it hasn't he

Crawling. No, he hasn't crawled for ages. Apart from through tunnels, obviously.

Walking. Yes, all the time.

Running. Yes, frequently.

Using any form of transport on their own? His brother has a fire truck thing that he can go forwards and backwards on, but not very fast/far. He can also rock on the mamas and papas reindeeer rocker we got at Christmas the year before last but he can't get on and off either of them by himself very easily so I help to save more injuries.

Babyboy isn't getting any more teeth that I can see and his brother has none of his back molars yet.

DH said this morning I can put baby in another day a week at nursery or put both boys in one day and he'll pay for it.

WhatSheSaid · 19/09/2011 10:30

Oh are you going to put them both in together on the same day mlic? You would get a day a week all to yourself, fabulous.

Crawling not any more

Walking yes

Running yes

Other transport she can sit on a little bike and push herself around a bit. She loves pushing the little toy pram around too.

CakeandRoses · 19/09/2011 10:41

yeeehaaaa to nursery mlic. which will you do? really happy about that - will be great for you.

[materialises in a puff of smoke] Mornin' all. :) I've been monitoring the thread, but haven't really had much to contribute lately as life has been boring uneventful and my time keeps getting swallowed with mundane things.

However, over the weekend M finally figured out walking! Grin Does this mean she counts as a toddler? She's been pottering about drunkenly all over the place without needing a hand to hold anymore. Including pottering her way right over to where her father had carelessly abandoned his glass of red wine... Still trying to get it out of her clothes!!

Anyway, survey! :)

Crawling?
She still crawls about 50% of the time at present, but I'm guessing that's going to steadily reduce?

Walking?
Yes, finally! Grin She still looks incredibly unstable though. A flaw of being tall with tiny feet, balancing might be a bit hard?

Running?
Not by intention, but if she over-balances to the front her legs try and run to keep up. Then she goes nose-first into the ground/table/whatever.

Using any form of transport on their own?
She has a large mouse wheelybug, same as Cake's F but mouse instead of tiger, that she likes to scoot round the floor on.

Woodlands · 19/09/2011 12:43

Hooray for M!

I think that means it's only my J and Trudy's M still not walking independently. They are an advanced lot on this thread!

MalibuStac · 19/09/2011 19:24

crawling not really anymore

walking yes and loves it

running a wee bit when it suits her.

other transport not really she's not that interested.

woods think trudys m is walking too.

Brill news about bigboys teeth cakes

mlisc hope you get them sorted soon.

ph sorry fongs is still rubbish.

R has a viral infection still, she's been ill for 3weeks now and it looks like J has been getting crap from the 3rd year. But to be honest I think he's just been taking it too much to. Heart.

memphis83 · 19/09/2011 20:58

crawling - never ever anymore, if he does its if he falss then he starts to crawl as if to say I was meant to do that!

walking all the time, he never sits still

running 99% of the time, he is on full speed all the time, I get so many people saying I must have my hands full, Im hoping with dh off for a few days he will see how full on L is.

other transport he climbs on the quad and trike and goes backwars but I reckon he will get forwards this week, he is so close! He also loves his rocker and uses my gliding nursing chair to vault himself across the room!

chulita Yes he only tasted chocolate this week, and it was only because it was on a piece of fruit! well apart from dh's dry choc weetabix that he attempted to eat a month a go until I took it off of him! he loves gingerbread men (organix ones) and fig rolls he isnt a cake fan either!

viksam what stain remover is it? the stains didnt come out and I even put it in ariel stain remover overnight too! your cm sounds lovely!

We are suppost to have tumble tots tomorrow but im not starting us for a few weeks, my back is really playing me up and Im struggling to pick him up at the moment! DH is off so we are going to the seaside for the day tomorrow, L has just woken up and was sitting in his cot waving!
I had dentist to have my crown replaced today, it took an hour to get the old one off it was pretty horrific he kept saying sorry, my gums bled so much they looked white and I nearly fainted! L was at my brothers and he kept kissing the baby over and over, we also bought him a lovely coat with the JL vouchers he keeps twirling round in it! anyway got to go Dragons Den is about to start, And we all know how much I love Peter Jones! Grin

viksam · 19/09/2011 22:04

Mobility survey

Crawling?
Never, not even when he's playing.

Walking?
All the time, and able now to stand spontaniously which is complete freedom!

Running?
Hmmmm not really, only by accident.

Using any form of transport on their own?
Mom and Dad brought him a lovely four wheeled wooden push along, he can sit side saddle but cant get on it properly or understand the concept of pushing with his feet just yet.

Im absolutly knackered today, i really dont know why, im dreading work tomorrow if im this tired.
ph Poor F, hope he improves quickly, why are u wanting them to go in the same room? Same question to mylife too?

Woodlands · 19/09/2011 22:22

stac no, I'm pretty sure she's only walking holding hands, same as J. Not that it matters really I guess! I know plenty of RL babies J's age or older not walking yet, so I'm not too worried.

WhatSheSaid · 20/09/2011 07:01

Trudy I meant to say, how horrendous for the woman on your a-n thread, I have read her thread about it in Active Convos...I don't know how people find the strength to get through things like that. I have friends who terminated due to Edwards and then found it impossible to get pg again for ages...they were just about to start IVF when she got pg naturally and they have gone on to have 2 healthy dcs.

Well after dh got incredibly pissed on the weekend and managed to lose his wallet too, he has just phoned to say he has paid off his credit card - first time it's been fully paid off in years - when money was really really tight last year we were having to live off it some months. It's a very nice feeling to know it has gone now - I feel like we're getting ahead slightly - about time.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 20/09/2011 07:55

That's great wss. So wish I didn't have credit card debt :(

Boys slept all night last night, woo hoo!

I did mention it briefly before vik but basically we only have 3 bedrooms and the spare room/baby's room has lots of things in it that can't go anywhere else iyswim. So it would have just been easier for the boys to share as all baby's stuff is in toddler's room anyway. Everything is a bit all over the place really.

In short; I need to win the lottery Wink

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/09/2011 08:17

Crawling?
He crawls about 75% of the time now.

Walking?
He walks the other 25% of the time!

Running?
Not intentionally, he tries but hes not stable enough and usually stacks it.
He does dance though Grin

Using any form of transport on their own?
No he doesnt really 'get' them yet. Hes got a ride on bus but he still pushes it round as a walker at the mo.

mlic I read that as you HAD won the lottery, I was going to say you're very casual about it Grin

Im getting D his first pair of shoes today, v excited!

Trudyla · 20/09/2011 08:19

Morning

wss I don't know how people deal with it either. I hope they are doing OK. How horrible for your friends, but how nice for them to have two lovely kids now.
And well done on the credit card pay off. I remember the huge relief I felt when we had paid off all our debts. It's awesome in a very grown up way I think.

woods and stac She is mostly walking while holding hands, but inside the flat or cafes she is walking on her own, too. I've counted 10 steps as the furthest. She is very, very wabbely and stretches her arms out. It looks very cute. She falls over often, but she doesn't let that stop her, which is fantastic. She normally starts crying and gives up if something doesn't work out immediately, but she is very determined with the walking, bless her.

memph I think you asked about my due date? It's 30th October. However, M came 2 weeks early and I feel soooo maffiss I'm not sure I can last till then or, god forbid, longer than that.

My fantastic doctor prescribed pregnancy massages for me. So I will now be treated to 10 hours of massage. We both know it's not medically necessary, but she did it anyway. I'm feeling very decadent. Will go to my first one in a minute. Hope I won't fall asleep snoring Grin

Not much else to say really. M has started to sleep in the last two mornings. We had to wake her at 8 yesterday to be ready for the CM Shock I like the idea of having a toddler that likes long lie-ins.

Wishing you all a fantastic day.

Woodlands · 20/09/2011 08:42

Oh wow Trudy, didn't realise that! Well done M! I think once they really really want to walk they won't let anything stop them.

Eek 30th October isn't very long... can't believe people on this thread are about to be having new babies! Enjoy the massage, sounds blissful.

MalibuStac · 20/09/2011 12:26

Sorry my mistake woods and trudy I thought I had read M was walking. woods I wouldn't be worrying either my friends dd was 16 months and I know my niece isn't walking yet and she's 18 months.
