Liking maternity leave too much? Can't be arsed to go back to your old job? Why not get made redundant, set up a company, have another baybee or even fall off a horse? Anything to spend more time with our little darlings! And it's so naice here - pass the gin!

Oh, but the heated seats are so lovely! You can retro-fit a towbar, but that's a bit trickier with seats. Will work let him fit his own towbar?

CluckyKate · 01/08/2011 14:01

Ah yes, but the company pay for the car to be valeted once a month....and heated seats are great.

Not sure about the towbar Box as the car is effectively leased so such work would need to be done by the fleet management co. I think.

okiecokie · 01/08/2011 14:07

I have a company car and it gets swapped for a new one about every 3-4 months (kind of lucky me but it is a bit of a PITA sometimes). Mr C is always complaining it is a shithole and dirty but instead of taking it to get cleaned I just ring up and get a whole new car Blush

Backinthebox · 01/08/2011 15:39

Get the towbar and heated seats then, and let work pay for the cleaning. I know what the inside of your horsey car is like - spick and span compared to mine (although we do always seem to have the picnics and go hunting in my car Hmm) so I am sure you would keep the 'clean' car much cleaner.

Hello the wanderers have returned! yorkshire is a bloody long way away for 2 nights Shock. I think next time, we need to go for longer. Still it was a lovely weekend despite the fact babymoo slept a lot on the way and then woke up at crack of dawn the next day. The weather was a-mazing though and the hotel pool was lush (babymoo screamed blue murder when we went in and I got funny looks). We did get a babysitter though both nights which was tres civilised. Not that indulgent though when you're on the bloody fizzy water. I was quite happy to be in bed both nights by 10.30pm. Also babymoo refused to eat any frigging thing we bought up there and I stupidly didn't take his favourites. So as a result we have discovered he is very partial to rusks which have formed the main staple of the weekend. Staying in bucks this evening and then back home first thing tomorrow to reality. Boo.

Fanny have a LOVELY time tomorrow!

Cluckster sadly I do try to fill him up at bedtime, but he won't have any more than he wants. NOt sure that I should be cutting down on his tea so I guess he will just stop having it when he's ready? Also my boobs went down in about a month I reckon, so nice bras to the ready...

Backinthebox · 01/08/2011 21:22

Food is very foreign up in Yorkshire, Moo Wink

FannyPriceless · 01/08/2011 21:36

rocket Happy anniversary to you for tomorrow too! How many years have you survived?

clucks I am glad you got my 'joke'.Blush I sadly married into a family famous for making lame jokes, and seem to have inherited this attribute along with the surname.Confused

Clyde is still awake, wriggling amd giggling next to me. [weary]

okiecokie · 01/08/2011 22:13

Clucks My boobs didn't shrink after breast feeding last time and I don't see it happening this time either, they are just big. I, however, am smaller round back so I am slimmer but still with big tits. Mr C thinks it is Ace but he hasn't got near boobs for a while as they are still milk producing..

Yes, Moo it is a long way to go for 2 nights. Somehow I thought you were away for 4?! Tis a pretty part of the world though non?

Tomorrow I have my day off. MR C has taken a day holiday to spend with the kids so I get to do what I like on my own for the day. I am very excited. It will be the longest time I have spent away from Peppa and the longest time he has had on them both his own. I am going to go shopping and for lunch on my jack jones and will take the magazine I get on subscription that I have not read since March. The day starts with a brazillian wax at 9.15; my hairy growler needs taking in hand.

SilverSky · 01/08/2011 22:48

Enjoy your day okie! Sounds Devine. Except for the Brazilian.

I have been out all day with family and duracell bunny kids at Beale Park. Was lovely. Now shattered.

Have been battling all evening with bloody online shopping. Does not help when you have no idea about meals. I've spent £70 already and not a single dinner!!!! I need some serious training!!

CluckyKate · 01/08/2011 22:58

Ouch Okes...I guess the day can only get better after that start

I has resurrected to post-bfing bra from last time and my boobs stick out like two torpedoes. Haven't seen them up there in ages - amazing what a bit of underwiring can do. Is not quite the correct size but is so good to have them properly supported. Breast pads have been ditched too so I no longer rustle. Is just a matter of time before the droid returns, huh!?...judging by the pains we're talking days, not weeks [grump]

Good to hear you had a lovely time Moo

rocketleaf · 02/08/2011 08:34

8 fun filled years fan how about you?

silvs we are currently living off a variety of heatable things (pizza/pasta/quiche) and salad with the occasional pie thrown on (waitrose chicken and tarragon ftw) as TB can't really cook. I suspect this explains why I am not experiencing the fabled BFing weight loss. Well that and the ice-cream I can't seem to stop buying.

moo not sure where you are but I suspect that there London. In which case Yorkshire is a trek! Glad it was worth the effort.

Backinthebox · 02/08/2011 08:37

Cluck get some No More Milk Tea. Tastes like shit, but dries you up v quickly. I shrank in about 2-3 weeks last time. I have vague memories of telling TT her new trick with her new teeth was not going down well in about late July, and work losing all my lovely brand new (still with tags on) Victoria's Secret bras in my suitcase sometime in the middle Aug. Hmm They learnt never to upset a woman who does not have a single bra that fits her properly!

Sky now if you tell us you are going to get so close to Cluck and I! Beale Park is just around the corner.

Moo ouch. That's what you do on a day off for fun? I'll take my broken leg instead thanks! I tried, ahem, depilating once only to find that the sensation is not compatible with horse riding. Obviously that's just me and the other horsey gals will no doubt disagree, and I remove enough so I don't scare children at the swimming baths, but there we go.

AlpinePony · 02/08/2011 08:41

box I'm with you, like a little cover in the saddle. However, trotting without stirrups in a thong for an hour achieves the same effect! (Winces at memory)

laurielou · 02/08/2011 09:31

So much to catch up on, & my brain is the size of a pea lately (a vay small pea).

Happy Anniversary to FP & Rocket. I hope you get out for your picnic, Rocket & you can celebrate too FP.

Great scan news for Alps & Moo. I actually feel very envious of you both Blush. Talking of baybee no 2 & age etc I really need to get a move on - just turned 39 & it took 3 years to win BugBoy. But I don't think I'm ready quite just yet.............

FP your tale of special suncream made me laff out loud. I love hearing tales of LO's embarrassing the folks, not so sure I'll be so impressed when BugBoy does it though. How's your foot? I've had serious nightmares about falling down the stairs with BugBoy - doesn't help that I did it myself a few years ago & broke wrist & had comedy carpet burns on face. I also live in a townhouse, so have 2 chances of falling.

Am vay impressed with everyone travelling with the baybees. We're off for 1 night, still in the UK next week, to attend a wedding. Am feeling quietly confident . Thing is if that goes well Mr Loz wants our first family holiday to be New Zealand (sublime to ridic). Friends of ours emigrated last year, & before I got diffed the plan was to visit them this year. Mmmm, we shall see.

Rocket how's baby massage? (when you get there that is Wink). There's a local class here, but there is also baby yoga - am not sure which one to aim for (couldn't possibly get to both, that would mean being ready to leave the house 2 days a week).

Talking of leaving the house, BugBoy has his jabs booked for next week. The receptionist has given me the appointment time of 9.20 am. Hells Teeth! I heard my voice say that would be fine, but my head was just screaming. There's no point in going to bed the previous night, is there? Smile

Anyway, better go. Not a nice day planned - a dear friend of mine lost her dad last evening, so I'm going over to see her. Hope everyone else has a good day.

Backinthebox · 02/08/2011 09:42

Alps my eyes are watering for you! When I get my leg back and am hunting I will be treating myself to some special knickers - big padded ones for long days in the saddle. Think Bridget Jones with a memory foam gusset!

rocketleaf · 02/08/2011 11:13

Thanks lozzer I haven't managed to get there yet, Blush yesterday was failed attempt no 3! I am normally pretty good at getting out of the house but seem to be jinxed when it comes to baby massage. My NCT ladies swear by it though. It's a 10 drive away into the city centre as all my local ones have stopped doing it over the summer. Change of plan for today. We are going for a walk then crepes and Canadian coffees for lunch as the weather was looking iffy.
Chuckling at box abd pone I have always DIYed my bikini line with an epilator. Obviously couldn't get down there in the last months of diffment and now I am a bit too scared to tackle the regrowth (which seems to have responded to the hard pruning like a vigorous buddleia) . Owww. I see tankini shorts in my future.

SilverSky · 02/08/2011 16:08

I got bored with massage as did MB. Perhaps he was bit too old for it? He screamed through most of if.

I'm trying very hard to not raid the fridge as I'm starving.

CurlyCasper · 02/08/2011 19:04

Just popping in to say hello and wave to cheggs! Life is a wee bit busy at the mo. Off to west of cossie land for rest of week (but no meets I'm afraid - lots of family stuff Sad)

MadameBoo · 02/08/2011 19:37

I am in awe of anyone who puts an epilator anywhere near their fanjo. I am a wuss who used depilatory cream. Got waxed once and will never do it again.

Muser · 02/08/2011 19:45

I did baby massage and Bob enjoys it. I taught TBG and it was his bonding thing before bed. At the moment the massage isn't going quite as well as she wriggles like mad, rolls over, and generally is Squirmy McSquirmsome.

Baby yoga I hated and she hated too. She cried the whole time and I sat there wondering why I'd paid £10 to feed my baby when I could do it at home, for free, with biscuits. Pilates has proved much more successful for some reason. Not that she does anything in pilates, apart from pull my hair when the opportunity arises.

SilverSky · 02/08/2011 20:08

I'm allergic to the stuff in Immac. How did I find out? After I'd used Immac Bikini. Burned myself so badly it was untrue. Burnt and bald as it spread of it's own accord. It was a different look...... And not to be repeated. EVER!!!

Muser · 02/08/2011 20:33

Oh Silvs, ouch. It reminds me of when I was in the emergency gynae waiting to have the ectopic confirmed. There was a woman in the bay next to me who had clearly had some sort of waxing incident. The nurse was explaining that while it was definitely an issue in the gynae area, it was really a skin complaint and she had to go to regular A&E.

SilverSky · 02/08/2011 20:47

Poor woman prob thought she was dying!! I can sympathise. Indeed it's nothing on labour and stuff but I bet she was in agony!

Sorry side of the tale was I was only having a tidy up in prep for HI's return from a family holiday. Back in the early days when passion was rife. I know HI is a horror fan but even he wasn't prepared for that hideous sight. Blush

Medee · 02/08/2011 21:01

it's waxing for me, has been for years.
