Hope this is ok? Thought it was subtle enough for the wider MN and not offensive!!

Bloody thing ate my post. I WAS logged in as I went from 'threads I'm on'. Why would it do that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HRHvagolaJahooli · 30/06/2011 22:41

Ladies I suddenly remember something funny, though a teeny bit disturbing for moi. Yesterday DSs where messing about in their room when suddenly no.2 starts screaming. I went into the room to find him standing naked in a half zipped up bodypillow case. No1 was huddled up on the lower bed as far away as he could possibly be from DS2. I asked what was wrong & DS2 managed between sobs to point to his Willy. I asked DS1 what happened and then it occurred to me that the zipper & the Willy may have had a slight disagreement. I asked DS1 whether he had caught DS2's Willy in the zipper, he said yes but that DS2 had wanted to be zipped up. I asked DS2 is he was ok and that I needed to look at it. He showed me and it looked ok. Poor DS2 was still sad & said it still hurt and could I kiss it better! I looked at DS1 who looked back innocently as if it was a normal request. I said to DS2 "you want me to kiss your Willy?". He nodded his head sadly so I agreed to blow it a kiss and did that. Crikey wasn't sure how I was going to get out of that one. DS2 seemed content with that and we had a talk about being careful with willys
& zippers.

HRHvagolaJahooli · 01/07/2011 09:36

Oh dear was the Willy story a step too far?

DeidreBarlow · 01/07/2011 09:55

Naughty Vag broke the thread with Willy tales!!Grin...only kidding that is very funny. Hilarious thought of you blowing kisses to his willy!

DH and I are off to another wedding this evening and get to stay overnight in a hotel sans DC's. Hooray, god bless my parents! Although I won't really know anyone as its a work colleague of DH, so I must try not to get drunk and make a fool of myself DH.

JollyBear · 01/07/2011 10:55

Morning ladies, I am planning to redo my epic post I lost but just stopping in quickly to tell you about my disaster this morning. Nipped out to car to get J's sling and returned to find L had bolted the front door :o I alerted a neighbour and she called the police who managed to get in through the bathroom window. Poor J was screaming the whole time. L was very brave and held my fingers through the letter box. My hands are still shaking.

JollyBear · 01/07/2011 11:07

That :o was meant to be (shock)!

HRHvagolaJahooli · 01/07/2011 11:33

Omg JB nightmare, Hooray for the police.

Rubes I meant to say that story of your dog dragging DD was hilarious.

Beans36 · 01/07/2011 13:31

Vag - your poor little DS2!!! Hee hee - asking you to kiss it better. DD1 definitely believes that me kissing things better actually does work. Very sweet.

JB - that's horrific. you poor lamb. I really do feel for you. So scary. And stressful.

I had a run in with my cow of a neighbour this morning. Went to take DD1 to nursery and we had a flat tyre, so I was going to push them in the pushchair. Picked DD1 up to put her on the buggyboard and her pants were wet, so I asked her if she needed a wee. She said yes, so I pulled her pants down and hung her to do a wee on the grass outside the front of our house. No one uses the grass out there as it's a v public little courtyard, but Pam from next door, who is about 75 and very strident and unpleasant, stuck her head out, still in her nightie with her rollers in and goes "Beans, is that really necessary? It's disgusting" in her best shouty voice. I just shouted back "Yes, it is" and ignored her. DD1 was midstream by that point. But GOD she makes me so angry, sticking her beak in - it was 7.45am for god's sake and if DD1 has to go for a wee, it's pretty much immediate! Foxes and cats do far worse than a tiny squirt of little girl wee. Grrr. Never mind. One of those things that irritate me, but aren't the end of the world!

GO TSONGA!

X

DeidreBarlow · 01/07/2011 13:54

JB that is awful! You must have been sick with worry, but what about your brave L. What a good girl.

Beans ignore your neighbour. Old people are a strange breed I have found, and if you don't do something their way then they always consider you to be wrong.

spotofcheerfulness · 01/07/2011 14:57

Beans, she'd probably heard about the beans household al fresco toileting habits and was wondering what would come next Wink.

Jolly that is scary as. i'm not surprised you're still shaking, I'm glad everything worked out ok.

Am coming up on Sertraline, saw my GP this morning as I have to admit I am v much going through the whole PND thing again this time round Sad. Still, it feels very weird, would like to go out dancing now rather than collect T from nursery.

JJ we are not going to be in Ely Mon - Thurs, so any time from Mon afternoon would be good for us. Is there a particular day that would work for you?

spotofcheerfulness · 01/07/2011 15:16

oh and vag, i think you handled that very diplomatically. every morning t says to me, 'mummy my bottom hurts, please look'. so i do and he was a massive stonk on. cue running round the house yelling 'anerection. i've got one!'
he will still do the same tomorrow though. sigh...

Beans36 · 01/07/2011 15:28

Spot - that is hilarious! Brilliant - well done T! And well done you for dealing with PND. You are a star.

xxxx

LadyThompson · 01/07/2011 16:50

Spot, am sad to hear you are suffering this awfulness a second time. What a rough ride you have had with it all. Really hope the Sertraline makes things better. And well done for tackling it, it takes massive courage.

JB, how frightening! I do so hope you have recovered. Your heart must have been in your mouth!

Rubes, as for your dog and her silent magic tricks, she ought to be on the stage Grin And bless DD for not making so much as a squeak. She must have thought it was a new game! I also had my hair done yesterday - the court staff were on strike so DP had no work. So I said - I am desperate to get my hair cut, here are the kids - cheerio!

DB, enjoy your other wedding! Am dying to look at the pics of the el flasho wedding but not until we have the broadband.

Vag - you should be in politics with that answer to DS2's special request!

Must go. Sorry for crap posts. Trudy, sorry to hear things are tough for you at the moment - definitely try the lot. Well, chambers' cricket match tomorrow then off to Mum's until Thurs. Broadband should be from next Fri, huzzah!

TrudyVotion · 01/07/2011 17:35

sybs Mindfulness is related to CBT, but the course the nurse was talking about is a group 'coping techniques' course, which I'm very sceptical about. Still, I'm hoping if I keep a toe in the system I might get the sort of thing I'm after at some point, if I'm not behind bars before then for murdering one of the kids when I was trying to cook a meal. Honestly, that after school time when I need to cook and DS wants to disappear outside (we live by a very busy road) is nightmarish just atm. I almost long for winter so he doesn't want to be outside.

DH is a good cook, but tbh we eat so early because of the DC (6pm) that it's rare for me to go out before we've eaten. DH is usually glad of the chance to cook himself something of his choice! I'm a bit Hmm this evg as I tried to cook something new, kidney bean kievs, but the test one I made was vile so DH is picking up chips when he collects SD! Have a good evening.

lol Vag at a long talk about willies and zippers! So hard knowing where to draw the line with their innocence, isn't it? I can just imagine your face when he asked! I think blowing a kiss was a great solution and one I shall use should the situation ever arise!

JB nightmare, how scary. Thank goodness for the police sorting you out.

Beans your neighbour is a miserable old moo. When I am old I will remember how hard it is with toddlers and not make anyone's life harder by carping.

spot sorry to hear about the PND but Grin at the stonk on! DS doesn't like them, they unsettle him.

HRHvagolaJahooli · 01/07/2011 18:10

Omg I'm peeing myself at 'stonk on' I have never heard that term but it is such an obvious description. DS1 is permanently stonked up whilst DS2 is increasing in his stonkness.

Trudy I wasn't sure which I was mortified by, the idea of kissing my own sons genitalia, or the fact that he specifically wanted me to kiss the wiggly foreskin bit, eioooo wee wee comes out of there!

Beans its not like she was doing a poo! & does this women stand at her front window constantly. Dogs owners (not you Jam & Rubes) are a lot less respectful with their charges wee than you are. I saw one guy let his dog wee right in front of my neighbours doorstep in Derby. I washed it away when they had gone but how gross is that.

Spot sorry to hear you are needing a little chemical assistance, but good on you.for sorting it out.

Speaking of chemical assistance DH is at the hop farm festival this weekend. He went over with some friends whose sisters are visiting so could leave their kids behind. I thought of going with the kids but I couldn't be faffed with it all and there are too many great acts that I would want to be completely wasted for able to enjoy childfree.

spotofcheerfulness · 01/07/2011 19:46

JJ that was meant to be "now going to be in Ely" rather than "not". Dur.

Rubena · 01/07/2011 20:23

Yes it was a beauty of a little dog / child trick Grin I only wish I'd been able to record it! Your willy story trumps that though Vagola !
Spot Sad to hear how you are feeling. Please come and visit me anytime you like if you need a change of scenery. I did your house to mine in 50 mins last time Grin You're always welcome to stay too if you want a little Wine
Lady, will let you know about what we are doing last week of the month Confused it's a bit dependant on if dh can swap a couple of days around. If we don't go away, we'll sort something out. if we are home, can't decide whether to do something on the Sunday for dd's b'day. Just not sure if I'm up to the task on this little sleep!
Busy week, managed to lose DS in Tesco the other day, and pretty much went hysterical after my experience of losing him but not really losing him in Aust. Pretty much had every shopper looking for him and the whole store in lock down Blush (ok slight over dramatisation) found him about 5 aisles over in the cleaning aisle about 5 mins later, face down screaming at anyone who tried to talk to him! He got quite a fright himself and as we carried on to Walton for shoes for dd, he told me the whole way how he was sad and he couldn't find me anywhere Sad

Oops, had loads more to say but dh not home and forgot I have stuff cooking - along time ago...

Rubena · 01/07/2011 21:05

Right, back, what else.
Jolly, bloody heck what an ordeal. I had a similar thing happen to me when I lived in a flat in Wimbledon except it was me going out to help a friend in visiting with her bags and the door slammed shut behind me leaving ds (about 6 months) sitting in a Bumbo on a very small coffee table watching the telly Blush I couldn't believe my strength when in a matter of minutes I had ripped palings off the 7 foot fence at the back to get into the courtyard as the doors at the back of the house were open. Adrenaline that comes with panic or stress in amazing. Anywho, glad it was a happy ending for you too!
Beans your fil , where do I start. I am lost for words. Someone asked about your dh's thoughts on his fathers behaviour. I'd be interested too, or did you cover that - and sorry if I missed it, but what a cock. Glad you had a nice day though. Where do your inlaws live?
And that neighbour - crikey, her head needs to be pulled right in! tell her about the alfresco poo's and then maybe she has reason to worry Grin ooooh perhaps she is a MN stalker Hmm
Trudes hows the hair? I got my feral roots fixed by my very lovely friend and she is still shaking her head at my straightening job in the US which she warned me against as she didn't believe it was "safe" for all hair types. boy was she right. Blush I have just bought 2L salon size bed head shampoo and conditioner off eBay whcih should last me about a year since I only wash my hair once or twice a week!
Arti LOVED your little bit about the alfresco wee attempt at the palace Grin I did mention my actual alfresco wee with ds in the Bjorn outside St Pauls cath right? Blush I reckon we should strive for famous landmarks now. You'd have won at Buck palace, but you've missed your op now Grin

EffiePerine · 01/07/2011 21:11

Whew! Have caught up, happy birthday to Asparaguses :). Not much to say here except camping again this weekend. Should be packing but slurping Alsatian wine and chomping on Bombay mix. And DS2 is on DH's Lao watching telly. Bedtime FAIL.

EffiePerine · 01/07/2011 21:13

LAP

Rubena · 01/07/2011 21:30

Right, Garden watered, recycling tubs brought in, dinner over cooked Blush wine consumption in early stages but looks promising, dh still not home. Must eat dinner or I will be sloshed.

Note to self...... Must take non-rambling post lessons from Effie

Rubena · 01/07/2011 21:32

From now on I am posting Effie style Wink Totally caught up, but can keep it to two lines! How on earth??? Right that's 4 posts from me....... I'm off to refill my wine glass have some dinner Grin

HRHvagolaJahooli · 01/07/2011 21:46
