Oh dear, everyone's a bit ill or accident prone at the moment! GYA Hope Tilly's toofypegs and your foot fix themselves soon, and fingers crossed for bumpy making an uneventful entrance in due course.
Dogwalker I feel for you - F gets really vomitty when she is plegmmy (sp?) - she doesn't know to spit it out, rather than swallow it and that makes her nappies awfully runny.
Nat glad the neighbours have quietened (sp?) down - DH's helpful
advice was "phone environmental services..."
Just listening to Radio 2 about a lady whose little boy drowned in her garden pond
. The older F gets the more I think about what I would do if something happened to her, it doesn't bear thinking about, she's just a part of me. I honestly don't think I could go on.
Anyway, onto happier things - we have bought far too many Christmas presents
, but we're making up for last year when she really didn't have a clue what was going on and spent most of the day crying with "overwroughtness" and puzzling at "why are you all dressed up to sit around on the sofa eating chocolate and I can't have any?". Peppa Pig advent calendar was opened this morning and choccy duly eaten, though trying to explain why she couldn't open the other doors was a waste of time!
She fell over at the soft play centre on Monday and cut her lip - was nasty and bled a lot, but no stitches needed and they gave her a balloon after she'd been cleaned up so all was well. Plus they let her have a drink of water from a "big girl" cup, which she was delighted with (sippy cups only in our house for F).
F is 16 months tomorrow and still not really saying anything other than hiya, bye, da and ack (Jack the dog). Still no "mummy", unless she is upset when she goes "mamamamamama", she just tugs on my trouser leg or puts a finger up my nose if she wants something. She does "talk" all of the time and understands what I am telling her to do (go and get shoes/coat/put that back in the cupboard), but my friend's little girl who is 6 weeks older is really advanced, practically having conversations - someone pass me a mince pie and tell me to stop comparing, no good will come of it! No doubt one day I'll post somewhere "My 4 year old won't shut up - help!"
Yesterday was the first day when I have picked her up from nursery and she didn't cry when she saw me. I tried to get her coat on and she wanted to carrying on playing - she's been there 4 months now and loves it. They have their Chrismas party next week. In the spirit of domestic godessness I am providing crackers and cheese triangles, no doubt some of the other mums will be fashioning a masterpiece in the shape of Father Christmas and his reindeer from organic cheese straws (homemade natch) and a roasted butternut squash.
Sorry, that was a bit epic! Love to all xx
