Or maybe piddling whilst giggling is just me? Blush
It's so sunny here I feel Spring has sprung - where's that daffodil emoticon gone? Had a friend round this morning for a natter and cake - muchos snot and tears but all good. Think I might go for a little bike ride now to blow the cobwebs away.
And no vag - not a chance!

Beans yay yay yay for your dad. That is such great news. You must be so relieved.
Lg amounts of relief here too as scan showed 8 week bean with heartbeat and all looking well. Not out of woods yet and being scanned again in fortnight but am feeling much more confident. And also relieved it's only one. I am so huge already I had half convinced myself it was twins and was bricking it about that too.

Still feeling sick and tired and dh is paranoid and watching me like a hawk in case I start being really I'll again. Not sure what he imagines he will do about it Grin.

Norfolk was lovely but really nice to be home. I am terrible homebody anyway but being away with small ones is hard frickin work. As you all know. My only advice on potty training is really don't bother until they are ready. I panicked and trained ds when he was 2.8 and it was a disaster. Took months of him pooing everywhere . Dd was clearly ready - kept tryin to climb on loo and use potty (which we'd left around in the bathroom) and got it straight off. Having older kid to demonstrate helps I think.

LadyThompson · 28/04/2011 18:44

Oh SMASHING, that is great news, Urbane. Two lots of excellent news today!

It's Pimm's. James Pimm. Jim Pimm - his Ma clearly forget to run it past the MN baby names board...And it's based on gin, which is probably why I like it so much.

That's all, fact fans!

traceface · 28/04/2011 19:08

hello happy campers :)
Hurrah for Beans' dad and urbane's wiglet Grin
Can't stop as I'm rushing out, but just wanted to say thanks for the well wishes - I saw the breast consultant today who was more than happy with my boobs Grin It may be caused by the tablets, maybe not, but either way it is nothing sinister. Phew. I cried (of course) and she was very nice. If it changes in amount or colour I have to go back, but all is well Smile
Must dash, but hope you all enjoy the long weekend xxx

Quick dash on, Beans bloody brilliant news about your Pa. Grin Urbane double bloody brilliant news on heartbeats. Grin

Got the bagels & smoked salmon and cream cheese ready for breakfast there is a bottle of something sparkling chilling in the fridge and we have 2 bottles of pimms to work our way through. Bring on the Royal Wedding. [cgrin]

JamInMyWellies · 28/04/2011 19:41

Super news trace.

Rubena · 28/04/2011 20:21

Bugger - must instruct dh to get bubbly as well as wine on his way home just now.... I shall be drinking quite early tomorrow too [cgrin] well, I could have a Bucks Fizz which is a Mimosa, and apparently 'Mimosa' is French for 'I want to get hammered before noon' I hardly think the OJ is necessary though. Suffice to say I will be joining you all otherwise I will be drinking alone (with the kids - nice parenting) - and even have a virtual toast [cgrin] I'm royally envious of your smoked salmon Jam [cenvy] Crikey, really hope ds survives without Bloody Chugginton, Mr Tumble and Alphablocks and dd survives without Waybuloo [chmm]

Brilliant news Urbanski. A healthy single - gotta be happy with that
And great boob news Trace.
Great news on the Pimms lady - you should def have one at least!

Artichokes · 28/04/2011 20:33

What a lovely lot of news to come and see. I'm so pleased to hear about Bean's dad, Trace's boob and Urbanski's bean. Lovely, lovely.

My office is next to Westminster Abbey so has been crazy all week but was a real spectacle today with a tented village blocking my way to the tube and, by this evening, choral music being blasted from loud speakers on parliament square. I had a wonder about and was much amused that George Alagaia (sp?) was broadcasting from a balcony above the crowds and for some unfathomable reason was blowing kisses to crying fans. Madness all of it. But v amusing. We also have mimosas awaiting us in the morn and I will prepare a home made eggs royale. Mmmmmm.

Beans33 · 28/04/2011 21:04

We've got croissants and apricot jam for morning, then down to Sussex. Thank you all so much for lovely wishes re Dad. Am so pleased. He's in loads if pain, but so relieved.

I've had LOADS of vino tonight. Bit pissed, nut v happy for Trace and Urbane. Lovely lovely news on beating heart and boobies. Am busy watching The Goonies at moment. Marvellous. Have also made a lasagne to take down to friends in Sussex tmw. It's delicious! I am cook-tastic at the moment. Really enjoying it. Slightly odd.

DD2 so busy crawling, but I didn't realise how good DD1 was. DD2 into everything. She eats everything she finds and pulls everything on top of her. Many tears. DD1 is heavenly though. So smiley and never stops talking. I love that I can have a chat with her now. She even sings to me all the time. Marvellous!!

Right. I have waffled boringly on. Lady it's LOVELY to hear from you! Is anyone around on Friday 27th May and fancy a meet up? DH off cycling then am heading to parents' on 28th.

God am dull. Sorry. Bit pissed!

waitinggirl · 28/04/2011 23:36

Hurrah for beans' dad, urb's heartbeat and trace's boob.

G still not effing asleep so dh downstairs doing the first shift.

Potty training...all about being a "big girl". She went into a big girl's bed and big girl's pants at the same time. Just took the nappies off, she wet herself a few times, got the hang of it. No accidents over the past week apart from me pOsitioning her badly when she wees on grass and actually wees straight into her knickers because I haven't pulled them down enough.

Watching the dresses tomorrow. Night Night

ZuleikaJambiere · 28/04/2011 23:47

Hello again, Im getting very excited about the wedding now, and I thought I was as cool as a cucumber. I suspect I?ll be sobbing in a heap by about 1030 tomorrow with the emotion of it all. My friend is coming over and bringing her DD, with the hope that the 2 girls will entertain each other and let us catch some of wedding in peace. As well as my William and Kate mugs, I?ve painted my nails red and made strawberry shortcakes and coronation chicken for lunch. I?m starting to think today?s office joke of wearing my wedding dress while watching it is actually a good idea [cgrin]. DD took part in a royal wedding enactment at nursery today ? she told me about the dress (pink apparently, bet Kate?s isn?t), flowers, big cake, small cake and teeny tiny cake and the singing (Balamory apparently, bet that isn?t on the order of service). I?m a little sad that she won?t remember the day when she?s older

I did laugh at Waiting's MILs comment, that must have been intended as a compliment but couldn?t be further from it. Good job LF has a sense of humour! And good to hear that Summer's MIL has a good side

Poor DD Rubes, she?s been ill for a while now [csad], hope she perks up soon

Happy hols to Veg, bet you?re having an amazing time

Lovely to hear from PD, especially that your new job is working out for you. Good luck with the veggie patch. I am useless at green stuff, I?m am trying so hard, but another 2 plants appear to have keeled over and died today

I like Urbs' idea of summer picnic meet up and might be able to join in ? we have a free rail pass at work and as long as no one needs it for work purposes then we can use it for personal travel, so you never know ?

Jolly 7lb 8 is brill and well done on the conversing at the toddler group, I often find that traumatic, worse than the dreaded ?networking?, and just want to hide behind DD but am determined to set her a good example. Is it the attachments to the Kenwood that got left behind? I had a 70s Kenwood that went to the great kitchen in the sky recently, but I haven?t got round to getting rid of the attachments. I don?t think I have any bowls, but I do have (I think) the blender that sits on the top and the dough hook, mixer thing and a (wonky) whisk. I?m quite happy to send them over, the extra space in my cupboard would make it worth my while ? send me your new address if you?d like them

Jump that is scary about the pond, I?d be fuming, so glad it wasn?t a worse outcome

Waiting well done on getting to the stage of feeling like a proper mum within 9 weeks, I seem to remember it took me at least that long and I only had one to deal with. Hurrah for potty training, well done LF

LadyT I have a punnet of strawbs, I?ll swap a couple for a glass of Pimms. I was a bit of a Pimms boffin at one point (in my old old job, I did market research for Diageo, including working on Pimms and some of their other yummy brands). Did you know there were originally 6 varieties of Pimms? The gin based one is (I think) number 3, vodka was number 1 and brandy number 6. I can?t remember what the other 3 were, something old fashioned and obscure probably. You can still get the brandy version, no 6, now called winter Pimms and served with hot apple juice instead of lemonade. Yum

So lovely to hear you?ve had a good scan today Urbs, fingers crossed for the next one.

And Trace?s lovely boobs, what a relief

Must go to bed, it is nearly royal wedding day and I want to be up early to take it all in. Night all x

Rubena · 29/04/2011 00:13

Bloody hell still up. Why can I never sleep - even when I'm shattered ? and I guarantee you it's not Royal wedding excitement. Have thoroughly cleaned the kitchen though. If it wasn't midnight I'd be tempted to vacuum (hoover) OCD for sure. Even ground some fresh coffee, then washed the grinder and the toaster tray (tell your mil WG - bet she'll love me!)
Hope you had a nice night Beans Wine Am thinking of how relived you all must be and how nice that feeling is. Have just fed dd, and although she is still hacking her lungs up after tixylix / neurofen combo, she hasn't vommed. Result. Or famous last words.... Fingers crossed. I suggest I try and get to sleep then! Ok, Ta ra for now [cgrin]

sybilfaulty · 29/04/2011 07:20

Just a quick one from me to wish everyone a lovely day. The kids are having a bit of light C beebies before all programming moves to BBC1 at 8am. We are going to a friend's for a party today, so I spent most of yesterday making 36 cupcakes (complete with W & K toppers!), a choc cake and a pav. Matthew "helped" with some of it so I hope it'll be OK. Now got to make a tray of canapes before we go. AND I was out last night so am feeling rather jaded.

Am SO thrilled for Beans's pa, Urbane's heartbeat and Trace's boob. Lovely news all round. And well done Jolly on the move. Impressive beyond belief.

LadyT I'd love to come to see you once you are in the new gaff. I can't really do daytime meets unless school hols but am more than up for an evening one if anyone is around.

Have a wonderful day. I even dreamt about The Dress. It had a diamante bikini top with a halter neck. I don't think I'm in the right ball park at all there.

Love to you all.

JumpJockey · 29/04/2011 09:44

morning all, well for a Graun reader I'm surprisingly excited about watching the wedding, I remember very much being jealous of the littlest bridesmaid at Charles and Di's because I was the same age and thought it should have been me [cblush] have just sent dd off to nursery all dressed in red white and blue with the cakes we decorated yesterday. Rather Pollockesque, but hey if they survuve the morning that will be a start, S was insistent that "I eat them all up all by my own" Grin

just want to say hip hip hooray for all the great news about Beans's dad, traces healthy (and evidently lovely!) boob, and Urbane's babe. Well done everyone :)

my bet is that the dress will be surprisingly elegant and un-sparkly. Was hoping she'd 'copy' me and go for Dame Viv, but having no curves at all it would be wasted on her...

Enjoy the day everyone [royal wave]

DeidreBarlow · 29/04/2011 10:05

Just nipping on...I am stupidely excited about this wedding! I don't even like the royal family as a rule [rgrin]

I also did a 4.5 mile run this morning and I can still breath and walk!

Yay for beans' Dad & Urbane, wonderful news.

Hello to everyone else, must dash I might miss some inane banter about fascinators V's hats......

LadyThompson · 29/04/2011 10:26

Well, we're on the champs already [cgrin] Cheers.

A schoolfriend of mine is in the Royal Welsh Guards so do look out for a smiley fella playing the sax in a busby!

Rubena · 29/04/2011 10:38

me too Lady except I'm just with the dog and two littles (how sad am I) one of which getting a little unruly at the worst possible time. He keeps very dramatically shouting "Oh no" from the other room so I will come and investigate. it's getting a bit Boy who cried wolf. What on earth was Victoria B wearing? I only caught a glimpse as I was putting out a few kid related spotfires

LadyThompson · 29/04/2011 11:00

She had a dark blue dress sort of draping her clavicle and a gorgeous hat, beautiful eye make up and bad lipstick and what looked like a clip on ponytail. And a face like thunder, as per usual, as she yanking on the delicious David, who had deigned to chat to a few Muggles....

JamInMyWellies · 29/04/2011 11:13

Champagne here too. Would have made a few pennies on bet fair I said lace, McQueen and Queen in Yellow.

Rubena · 29/04/2011 11:29

worst display of parenting ever here

JamInMyWellies · 29/04/2011 11:31

and here DH and I quaffing champers all of us still in our dressing gowns. Boys have already been allowed to help themselves to the sweetie tin.

Rubena · 29/04/2011 11:35

The girl has been put to bed in the big bed with Waybuloo, and the boy has been given whatever he wants. The dog is locked outside as she heard the key words 'ds's lunch' about 20 mins ago, and won't stop pestering me for food......

Rubena · 29/04/2011 11:39

I like her dress, but I like her sister's dress more!!!!

JumpJockey · 29/04/2011 11:50

Rubes I agree, sis looks stunning!

JamInMyWellies · 29/04/2011 12:02

yep sisters dress gorgeous

ZuleikaJambiere · 29/04/2011 14:31

I wanted a dress like Pippa's for my own wedding dress, definitely stunning. Duchess Catherine looked amazing too, and far more relaxed than William, you'd think she was the royal, not him.

DD (eventually) realised Cbeebies wasn't coming on and (sort of) got into flag waving and horse spotting with her friend. Although just as Kate arrived at Westminster Abbey she was in the bathroom yelling "want to wee wee on toilet". Seriously love, I am not starting potty training right now. I suspect I have missed the window of opportunity now, but I have my priorities.
