Hebe definitely has Velcro tendencies but I indulge her as she is definitely my last babyGrin she is very smiley though and seems quite chilled. I love having three, my family feels complete now. Joss looks very cuddlable in all the pics. I think I've ruined my back from constant Hebe cuddling!

Oh good grief stop it you two, there are some of on here desperatly trying not to be broody ever againGrin

Dog- you just need some antibiotics, however you could try some manuka honey and increase exercise like walkin, i had the same in the summer and started doing some serious walking and my chest infection went within a week.

must stop talking about exercise as am on a 4 day imposed ban to try and rest this buggering ankle. I am actually DEPRESSED that I can't do any till tomorrow, can you bloody believe it, I certainly wouldnn't have ever thouht it was possible!Shock

PatTheHammer · 22/03/2011 21:54

sorry for the horrendous typos, trying to do some work at the same time as MNing!

Stripey- C does sound a very poorly girl, poor little lamb. Deffo get her checked, the vomiting mucousy stuff I just hate, its so heart-breaking, especially when Z is off his food because I know its one of his greatest pleasures (along with tractors, Fireman Sam and watching the bin-men!)

120 · 22/03/2011 22:18

Dog can you do lots of honey and lemon? And echinacea (sp?) and Vit E? You are most likely very run down and need to build your immunity. And gallons of water.

120 · 22/03/2011 22:22

sorry stripey, completely missed the bit about C. I would be inclined to get her checked too (this is from me who had stern words from nusery to take H to doctor after 3 weeks of dribbly ear and whimpering in the night with pain - I did calpol him but that was it). Hope she recovers quickly.

pat.. you can always do sit ups and weights Smile

must must must go to bed

I am all for a 120 painting. They are very poignant. My sculpture is large and not appropriate as I deal with vanity and constructed ideas of perfection and beauty. lol. Just keep me informed about the PM and who to send it too. thanks Ladies.

Pompoms to MJ. Hope all is moving right along.

It was gorgeous out today, even though it rained the moment I had to leave the house but a great bonus about Condo living is the underground garage! But it got sunny again. Grin I forgot I was meeting a mom friend for coffee today at Starbucks and miraculously made it out of the house, showered and light make-up and hair down and DD was wiped down, in 25 minutes, Shock (trust me, this is a feat!) I have to say, with all the bad press the place gets, they were going to comp my coffee, sandwich and juice because their debit machine was down and I didn't want to use my credit card for such a small amount. I used my credit card, but was impressed nonetheless.

God help me, DD as learned to use scissors and there's bits of paper everywhere!

Teaandcakeplease · 22/03/2011 22:24

On way to bed but I will be on here if I'm woken in the night to check for an update Grin

GotArt · 22/03/2011 22:24

I'm with pat on the exercise for lingering chestyness. You might just need some loosening up, iyswim. It works for me lots when I go outside for a run, and spit like a hockey player. Grin

GotArt · 22/03/2011 22:28

We've been very lucky with DD. But I am a believer that if a cold or any ailment doesn't improve within 3 days, to the doctor/walk-in-clinic/emergency with you.

treedelivery · 22/03/2011 22:54

Hello all

Was coming to say hi and catch up, but have just seen pictures of Edgar's ds on her husbands profile. It's taken the wind out of me.

Oh God. Unbearable.

Apparently he loved balloons 120, I wonder if a card of drifting balloons in a sunny sky would capture his blatant happiness. I can't believe how little and....well, lively and vital and vibrant he was in the pics. It's unbearable.

Sorry to put downer on Sad but wanted to say I read he loved balloons and I wondered what we thought of doing something with that in regards to the card. So typical of this age group, my dd2 loves them too. I'm really thrilled you are doing a card 120 Smile I think it is a lovely fitting thread gesture Smile.

Have all sorts crossed for a thread baby, and am glad you had a positive visit HKZ - although of course there is always the worry there. It's good they were reassuring, so happy for you.

stripeywoollenhat · 23/03/2011 07:14

Congratulations MJ!!! Great news.

I started thinking about the card and was thinking about using the image of pooh bear with his blue balloon, then maybe some wild flowers or something. H adores pooh and eeyore.

I've uploaded a computer graphic of an idea of it on my photo profile page. It keeps making me feel sad though, so probably not the right imagery. I wonder otherwise whether to copy a character/scene from his favourite book, if we know what that was?

OP posts:
stripeywoollenhat · 23/03/2011 09:41

120 - i know that image is kind of sad, but i also think it's perfect. i don't really know how we would find out what his favourite book was.

c also loves balloons, eeyore and pooh. and tigger, she's particularly keen on tigger. she can spot a balloon from seemingly miles away...

120 · 23/03/2011 09:46

thanks stripey. yes H loves tigger too! We have a book with a button that sings that ruddy tigger song really loudly. Or should that be REALLY LOUDLY?

congrats mj Grin

dog ye definetly get drs

hi mm

hi other ladies

treedelivery · 23/03/2011 10:05

Ooooh good news on MJ to warm the cockles of our hearts. Congratulations! Can't wait to hear all about it Smile

120 - I think your idea is lovely Smile If you feel uncomfortable with the branding type of thing, maybe change Pooh to a regular lovely bear? I think the whole idea is lovely though, and balloons do seem to capture the toddler dynamic Grin

I'm actually drowning in work, so I can't stop. I certainly can't think, that would end in tears Sad

But yay yay yay for a thread baby.

moosemama · 23/03/2011 11:46

Morning

Huge congratulations to MissJ on her new arrival! Smile Lovely to have some good news.

120, Edgar was discussing using an excerpt from Winnie the Pooh at the funeral, so it sounds perfect.

Just got back from ds1's IEP review - well, ahem, yes, that was er interesting! Dd had to come along as we have no babysitters at the moment, but she was an absolute star, bless her. Well other than dropping her pot of Plum Baby cheesy multigrains all over the classroom. Blush

The IEP sort of got sidelined. There was lots of general talk about ds not producing anywhere near enough work, despite being highly able and at that point I decided to reveal the elephant in the room and say I wanted to go for a statement. Cue pandemonium! The SENCO tried to tell me he wouldn't get one because he's not academically behind, so I quoted the SEN Code of Practice and Disability Act, then she said he hadn't been on SA+ for long enough, so I pointed out that this was due to the school not listening and his teachers pointed out that the school failed to support him at all last year. Then she tried saying there isn't enough evidence that the school has tried everything it can and I pointed out my huge, full to overflowing lever arch file and accompanying A4 page a day diary where I have diligently recorded everything. I also pointed out that that's why I always write to the school rather than just discussing things verbally and I have an excellent paper trail. Then the lovely inclusion ladies said they agreed he cannot progress any further without 1-1 and they would help us get the evidence together and assess if we have enough. They booked an appointment with the SENCO there and then for tomorrow and will be visiting me at home to put together our side of the story very soon! Shock

I don't think it will be easy - in fact I know its going to be a huge fight, mainly because the school has historically been so crap at both supporting him and documenting everything, but at least we are on the right track now.

Am now quaking in my boots! Grin Blush

missjackson · 23/03/2011 11:55

hi ladies - thanks for all the pom poms, obviously did the trick! So yey, finally she's out and is perfectly gorgeous, looks just like her brother did. No name as yet, but shortlist is Isis or Nesta - need to decide before the census!

All went fairly well yesterday but was true agony at the end - kept thinking of lenni breathing D out - and hkz mooing! Decided I wanted to be in the pool so got to the birth centre at 11.30am and was already 8cm! Was ready to push by about 1pm but everything slowed right down then and waters still hadn't broken. Could almost sleep between contractions and they were only lasting about 15 secs so we were worried it was going to halt entirely. They made me get out of the pool (I was all for a little snooze!) and walk around, bounce around, etc, then finally they broke my waters (they had to do this with N too so I obviously make good thick membrane sacs!) and then all hell broke loose - fast and furious cx till the end, so hard I could barely catch my breath - I was on all fours on the floor - took 3 long cx to actually get her head out (mw saying 'now you'll feel some burning' - understatement of my life) and then one more push and she was out! Amazing experience - N was ventouse so I was on my back and never really felt like I pushed him out, but this all felt very relaxed, active, PAINFUL, but somehow more real. Second babies rock!

However, I am never, ever doing that again. Lenni, Pat count me in with the pact!

8'7lbs (N was 8'8). We were home by 7pm and my Mum brought Nye back - he was really sweet and pleased to see her - and she spent the night sleeping on top of me and feeding - that's all going well.

So there we go - now we are 4! Hope all is well with you - will catch up when I get a chance.

hackneyzoo · 23/03/2011 12:01

Oh MissJ am so happy for you...just burst into tears! Sounds like it all went well. Can't wait to see pictures and sending all four of you lots of love and congratulations! Smile

Think balloon sounds like a very fitting image as Edgar said her DS loved balloons and even slept with one! I read on her thread she is going to read an extract from the house at Pooh corner, so a balloon fits in well with that too.

Right, got to get DD off to nursery so will catch up proper in a bit
