Thanks HC

I survived, so did poor Joe who is ill with a bad cold and chest infection. Coughed himself sick several times in the night so we were at the doctors by 9.30am. Only the second night I've ever been away and he was so ill and crying for me, I felt terrible. He was clinging to my leg screaming "mummy no go" at one point yesterday pm. Words cannot describe the guilt.

Not sure about job. I have some concerns and was body slammed by one resident who wanted to go somewhere she shouldn't, she winded me a bit. One poor woman had 2 epileptic fits in the night so had to be carefully observed. Its a long old night-the other night staff sleep for a few hours beforehand but I won't be able to as dh not back until 6.15pm. Dh doesn't want me to go back there but I'm going to see how next week goes-someone is shadowing me while I do meds and personal care. The week after, I am on my own. Very mixed feelings Sad

Right all , help me take my mind off all this and update me with your news

HumphreysCorner · 24/04/2012 20:10

HT-maybe do another week but make sure you are 100% happy with this role. Hope Joe is feeling better.

Finally rang the preschool and me and the boy are going to look round it on Thursday morning with a view to him starting in January.

DH has been offered hospitality tickets for a British Superbike round so hopefully he gets them so we can go on 7th May to Oulton Park.

How is everyone else?

DH still doesn't want another baby and I do-ho hum!

Morning morning morning!!!

Oh man, im sooooo far behind here, sorry!

HT think very long and hard on the job front, give it another week, if your not happy, then think about somewhere else. My sister did a job like that, and she was aways being attacked, it was scarey to see the marks on her, she loved it, but I couldnt of done it. You either love it or hate it, and honestly, I learnt never to stay in a job I hate, it makes your life unbearable.
Poor Joe, its hard for them, I remember Ethan being like that years ago too. But they get used to it. You must be tired!

HC I want a ticket!!!!! If you go, you better take some great photos for me Grin
Whats going to happen on the baby? Who will win? I say go for it lol
Good luck with the school!!!

Fidelma Well done on the BF......you time is your own now....it must be strange though.

Well......Brew

We lasted apart for over a week, and it wasnt good, we just stopped talking, I was at the point of getting ready to move back home. We decided that we needed to be in the same house, or we would never talk it through. Thank god we did that, or I really think it would of been the end.
The stress we have had for the last 2 years just hit us. Me running the home alone, looking after the kids, him living away, then moving here, and the school, it was terrible. We had to sit down and talk, and it was good. Im not saying its great, its not, but its alot better than it was.

As for the school. He still isnt in, and prob wont be till Sept. They want him in a couple of hours every morning, from the end of May, just to assess him! Its a 45 min drive to the school, for just a couple of hours, not good. And he doesnt need assessed, he needs schooled. He is now almost 2 years behind. Its a big stress factor right now. He is 8 next month and cant read or wright.

So we are getting a posting back home. We hope to go in Aug. But as a family this time. We have done more than enough here, and back home he will get all the proper help he needs. Its caused him stressed, almost broke my marriage, and ive had enough....never again. Once we go back, we stay.

Right now im filling in DLA forms.....omg they are terrible!!! Im off now to get a coffee and fill the last of them in. Hope everyone else is doing well!!!!!!!

xxx

Afternoon all :)
A swift one as both girls napping yay - goodness knows I should be too, but laundry to be done!

Littlepea goodness, what a shit few weeks you've had, terrible news about the stress and semi-separation. Its good that you're working your way through it and its great news that you're going back home! A fresh start on familiar ground and hopefully the school DS1 needs. I hope that the last few months in England are better than the previous few, and that you and DH continue to repair your relationship. Whats Faith been up to now?!

HC your jobs sounds quite full on, and I completely understand your reticence... When exactly do you sleep?! I hope it improves or that you can leave without regret if its not what you thought it would be...

HC superbike fun!

Scout & iggly hope you're both well!

Fidelma kisses to you too!

So Lyra is lovely so far, although feeds and feeds and feeds - BORING! Had become used to popping out of the house and doing lots but am almost permanently stuck on the sofa with Annalise being very bored and thererfore - unsuprisingly - naughty. Lyra can't get to 18months fast enough for my liking! Feeding is going better, boobs still think I'm feeding twins but Lyra isn't quite as vomitty as Annalise was. Have deja vu with smell of baby sick to the black days of Annalise's babyhood!

Am VERY fed up with the raining now, please be stopping thnx :)

Morning ladeez

Calypso-you are doing a grand job and remember, these days do pass very quickly. .

So pleased to be back from my weekend of hell in the caravan, all that way to a soaking wet Peterborough Showground then not being able to leave the caravan. Luckily our car pulled us out as FIL and many others had to pay a tractor £2 to be towed to the road. An AA van had to be towed in to repair a Motorhome, so funny to see.

Looks like we will be going to the Superbikes on Monday but the man with the tickets wants to meet us on the gate at 9-30am which is nigh on impossible. Got to drop the children at mum and dad's then drive over 3 hours to get there. Hmm Also, rain is forecast so not looking forward to another wet trip.

Matthew's toys are all over the floor so better go and sweep them to the side tidy them up.

Big wave to everyone!

littlepea72 · 07/05/2012 17:40

Still not at school! Honestly, I think they are trying to hold of till September, but we will be gone before then. We have no choice....back home it is, first us then DH also....at a later date. I need to contact the SEN department in NI tomorrow. He is now 2 years behind. And because of the school problem, his statement of need is now out of date grrrrrr Angry I wish we had never came here.

Im watching Gabe...he is trying to stand! And Faith is just wrecking the place lol xxx

HumphreysCorner · 08/05/2012 18:29

Hi all

fidelma-did you have a fab time and no aching boobs? Grin

littlepea-so rotten for your eldest DS. Sad He needs to be at school doesn't he. I'm sorry living here didn't work out but I am pleased that you are moving back and with DH. Smile Then, I do hope the authorities get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Went to the British Superbikes yesterday which was fab. The hospitality wasn't as advertised but they arranged a private meet with my fave racer. He isn't a top racer anymore but I have followed him for years so to me he will always be top. Anyhow, he won the first race!!!! Shock Got a signed T-Shirt and a photo with him to add to all my other photos with him. He is known as Chris (The Stalker) Walker but methinks I should change my middle name to Stalker-lol!

Feel so tired today, must be all the excitement. Poor Matty boy has had to play all by himself today.

Big wave to everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!

HappyTangerine · 14/05/2012 14:27

Hi all, sorry to go awol. Had a virus on he laptop, couldn't get rid so had to take it back to factory settings which took AGES , then I caught some sort of chest infection and stomach bug combo (possibly from work) and was out for the count for 10 days.

littlepea So pleased to hear that you and dh have sorted things out, and even more pleased to hear you are going back home where you've got he family support and a great school for ds1 Grin Are you still shredding? I am and it's still killing me!

fidelma Well done on stopping bf and I am so jealous of your child-free night away! You sound busy but happy Smile

HC Joseph has become bike mad, he'd have loved the Superbikes. How is diet going? I am starting Slimming World on Thursday. Your carava sounds great, I'm i two minds about saving up for one. Do you use yours a lot?

big wave to Calypso, Scout and any lurkers.

I'm still at the job...and loving it! Dished out my first lot of medications on my own last week (heart in mouth) and it went well. Lovely residents, fab colleagues and great experience. I'm a natural night owl so the shift isn't too bad (8pm-8am) but I find lifting people tough on the old back so need to lose some weight. Have been given loads of extra shifts in June-at this rate, I'll get the 300 hours I need in about 5 months.

Joe self weaned about 2 weeks ago, still has a little comfort thing at night but has otherwise been happy to just wave it goodbye. The boob fairy brought him a new car so he was chuffed to bits! Great timing as I was prescribed a massive "no way can you bf on these" dose of antibiotics for the infection. He starts at Little Kickers (footie, they're football mad here up North) next month.

J has gone suspiciously quiet so I'd better see what he's up to, back soon. Love to you all x

littlepea72 · 14/05/2012 17:51

HT Ive missed you!!! Was starting to worry, glad you are feeling better Smile I havent done the shred in a week....oops naughty! Do you think you have lost any weight doing it?

Here we go lol.....someone has fallen! Back later x
