Scout19075 · 18/03/2012 10:48

Happy Mother's Day!

littlepea72 · 19/03/2012 06:52

HT just a wee update....Calypso was on FB yesterday, A had her op and is doing well.....and she went into labour!! Hope to hear about Baby Calypso soon xxx

Hope you all had great mothers day Grin

Tomorrow is DS1 appointment with the doctor, for the meds.....

CalypsoFramboise · 19/03/2012 07:50

Morning all, Happy Mothers Day for yesterday! (DH forgot, pft)

No baby as yet, sorry littlepea :D it was only the due date, and this baby agrees that the scan wasn't right and I'm really due a bit later this week :o Actually my midwife popped over yesterday, did all the obs and said as she was leaving "ok, I'll see you next Sunday for a sweep, call me if you have any problems before then" !! Heh, she didn't seem to think baby was coming any time soon. However reading iggly's post, I'm really not actually mentally ready for this newborn, lots of {{hugs}} iggly Annalise was VERY vomitty (not reflux though) and I know it did go by 7 months, which seems like forever away, but count down those days where the laundery decreases by 50%! xxx

Also Annalise seems to have made a remarkable recovery from the op, at first when we went in, they took her weight and as she's still under 10kg they said its policy to keep low-weight children in for at least 7-8 days! Not just from a baby-due point of view, but seriously, trying to entertain a bored toddler on ward for a whole week is exhausting! However, she was eating Ritz cheese-crackers on the second day without any painkillers and saying it wasn't hurting so she has in incredible tolerance to pain. She's been eating really well, so the consultant relented and said she could go home as long as someone who wasn't me or DH (as we could be preoccupied with the birth / new baby) could sleep and look after A for at least a week. Luckily my mother said yes straight away so she's in the house, and I think is feeling a bit uneasy about hearing me labour although she's excited about seeing the baby just born!

fidelma hope you managed to recharge over the weekend

HT well done Wales, poor showing from Fance no?! And I can't believe Joe wasn't delighted too! Good luck with the job hunt, hope its the course-relevant post you get.

littlepea AT LAST YAY! I hope you're happy with the school and of course that DS settles in soon, will he start soon?

hello to HT and PPM

CalypsoFramboise · 19/03/2012 07:55

And hello to scout too! x

littlepea72 · 19/03/2012 11:46

Calypso! I was getting really excited!!!! But at least that gives you some more time with Annalise, and she seems to be doing really well. You are never ready for a new little one. Just go with the flow, and do it all in your own time. And if you find yourself in your PJ's all day....happy days....dont push yourself for anyone! Big hugs from me!!! xxx

HappyTangerine · 19/03/2012 13:49

Bless you littlepea for updating me! Hope appointment went well

Calypso Thats brilliant news re A and the op, what a weight off your mind and great your mum is around to help.

Suddenly both me AND dh are talking about trying for No2-how did that happen! Not sure how it would fit in with course/new career plans. J very hard work yesterday, culminating in massive screaming tantrums when he woke up last night. We have visited the neighbours on both sides today with a small bunch of flowers and an apology.

HumphreysCorner · 19/03/2012 21:27

Hi all

littlepea-that could be us you described as we built our house but it took years and we did alot ourselves, didn't have holidays and that is why FIL bought us a caravan so we could take the children away. Still annoyed about it, also Hmm at this girls talk about demigods???????????????????

Brill news about school. Smile

HT-ooh, no 2 eh? Grin

Big hug for Iggly-things should get a little better now the tongue tie is sorted. Smile

Calypso-can't wait for news about your baby. Smile

Hi to fidelma, Scout et all.....

HT go for it!!! LOL....now might be a good time, before you get a job etc and get settled? Only you will know what you want Grin

HC I bet you love your house more for the love that was put into building it. Do you ever watch Biggest Loser USA? Well I bought Jillian Michaels dvd, 30 day shred, the comments on it was amazing, and now my good friend told me that she lost 2 stone using it for a couple of months.....its such hard work, but its been 5 days and I can see a difference starting to my body! Also Bob Harper that is on with her, he is about to start an online fittness training programe....he is your personal trainer, a live fittness session a week, with recorded ones for during, also all about the diet etc, everything you need, its only £6.95 a month! He has done this kind of thing before with great results....I'll let you know how it goes Grin

Have CAMHS appointment for DS1 today, so glad it is, he attacked me last night, and he has the strength of a grown man. He badly needs meds, and before the school starts, so will see what the doctor says about it today.....

Hi to everyone!!!!! xxx

HappyTangerine · 20/03/2012 14:35

littlepea He attacked you? Are you ok? Big hugs-is dh still away? Hope appt went well x

Coincidentally, I am on day 3 of the Jilliam Michaels 30 Day Shred. I woke up the first morning after thinking I had died and gone to hell, I could barely move. Today a bit better, but I am still swearing at the tv. Am also reading Run, Fat Bitch Run which is proving to be very effective at getting me off my backside and out the door!

HC Thats a hell of an acheivement re the house. Honestly, don't give this silly girl another thought...except perhaps to find a way of explaining the appropriate context of the word "demigods" in a sentence Wink

littlepea72 · 21/03/2012 11:35

HT we can die together lol....you can be my shred buddie Grin I swear i cant walk....people round here are going to ask questions, why is she walking like that when her hubby is away! lol

He is now on meds, they will work from 8am - 4pm, dont want anything after that as they can stop his eating & sleeping....but this week has really come good for us, and also the hubby away....bliss LOL....Im ok, just a bit sore, he cant help attacking, but with the meds, it should help him alot.

Off to make the lunch....would love some chocolate!!!

HumphreysCorner · 22/03/2012 09:31

Morning all

littlepea-hope you are OK. My school mum friend has a 6 year old with Charge Syndrome and he went through a stage of attacking her. Sad Good luck with the diet. Smile

I have had some sort of sickness bug so still feel washed out, but pounds lighter.

Will check back later for any baby news. Smile

Big wave to all!

Calypso any news yet?

Scout have a great day in London

Hi to everyone else!!!

DS1 is on day 3 of caps, he is taking them without any trouble, I really didnt think he would be able to swallow them. Its hard to say if they are working, i suppose another couple of days will show. DH is on his way back from France, just hope he doesnt want to go to bed after a long week skiing Hmm as I have been here on my own all week.....

Have a great weekend!!!

CalypsoFramboise · 25/03/2012 14:34

hello!
Lyra Maelle born in a very speedy home water birth Friday morning, c2.5hrs from first real contractions to delivery! 3.37kg / 7.7lbs, 50cm long.
Didn't tear hardly as much as last time, and was feeling on a real high until today when post-birth blues descended. I think this coincides with my milk coming in, enormous comedy-sized boobs (size F!) and intense feeding / latching pain. Completely the same as last time and I know it was at least 3 months before it got better and wondering if I can do it again :(

Some photos on FB www.facebook.com/varina.delrieu

I hope you are all doing well, I have 2 seconds before A gets up from her nap and feeding starts again, kisses to all xoxox

littlepea72 · 25/03/2012 15:20

Calypso Well done!!!! Grin she is beautiful!!! Couldnt believe it when I logged onto FB and there you were.....wonderful news xxx

HumphreysCorner · 25/03/2012 17:33

Calypso-congratulations on the birth of your beautiful little girl. Smile Here are some virtual Thanks for you. Keep up the feeding as it will settle down in the next couple of days once she is feeding regularly. Ask the MW to check she is latching on correctly. xx

to everyone else on this lovely, sunny day.

HappyTangerine · 25/03/2012 23:15

Thanks Huge congratulations to you Calypso you've done brilliantly. Hang on in there with the feeding, it will get better. 2.5 hours from first contractions to delivery-wow, thas my kind of birth! I will furtively resurrect my facebook account later and have a peek at the photos.

Gorgeous weather, hope you've all been enjoying it.

fidelma · 26/03/2012 12:44

Connor "Mummy I love the summer it makes me soooo happy!" He is like an old man!

HumphreysCorner · 27/03/2012 19:16

Aw fidelma-lovely but just shows how far behind Matthew is with speaking.

Matthew will not settle in his cot now we have altered the clocks as it just isn't dark. Seem to remember the girls were the same but we have blackout blinds and I have shut all the curtains upstairs.

Hope all OK, have dug out my faithful denim skirt that I wear all summer and painted my toenails ready to wear sandals tomorrow-in March. Shock

HC they all do things at their own pace. I have learnt that from my 4 :) I am sure by the time they are 18 they will be doing everything that they should be doing ( and alot more lol)!

I am enjoying Connor being 2 and 1/2 ( but would also like a wee baby to cuddle) luckily seeing my cousin with her 10 month old tomorrow. I haven't seen her for 13 years !

HappyTangerine · 28/03/2012 21:57
