Morning all, Happy Mothers Day for yesterday! (DH forgot, pft)
No baby as yet, sorry littlepea :D it was only the due date, and this baby agrees that the scan wasn't right and I'm really due a bit later this week :o Actually my midwife popped over yesterday, did all the obs and said as she was leaving "ok, I'll see you next Sunday for a sweep, call me if you have any problems before then" !! Heh, she didn't seem to think baby was coming any time soon. However reading iggly's post, I'm really not actually mentally ready for this newborn, lots of {{hugs}} iggly Annalise was VERY vomitty (not reflux though) and I know it did go by 7 months, which seems like forever away, but count down those days where the laundery decreases by 50%! xxx
Also Annalise seems to have made a remarkable recovery from the op, at first when we went in, they took her weight and as she's still under 10kg they said its policy to keep low-weight children in for at least 7-8 days! Not just from a baby-due point of view, but seriously, trying to entertain a bored toddler on ward for a whole week is exhausting! However, she was eating Ritz cheese-crackers on the second day without any painkillers and saying it wasn't hurting so she has in incredible tolerance to pain. She's been eating really well, so the consultant relented and said she could go home as long as someone who wasn't me or DH (as we could be preoccupied with the birth / new baby) could sleep and look after A for at least a week. Luckily my mother said yes straight away so she's in the house, and I think is feeling a bit uneasy about hearing me labour although she's excited about seeing the baby just born!
fidelma hope you managed to recharge over the weekend
HT well done Wales, poor showing from Fance no?! And I can't believe Joe wasn't delighted too! Good luck with the job hunt, hope its the course-relevant post you get.
