Oh fidelma-how sad. Sad

Matthew has been poorly and crying lots through the night. He has an ulcer right on the edge od his tongue so cries everytime he eats.

Love being at home playing but am getting cabin fever now. Also fed up with cooking only to have my children say uurrgh when it is put infront of them. Even DH said he wants more variety. Had a huge row about it tonight.

Eating everything up so am even larger than I was so have even more to lose when my diet starts on the 4th January. We usually go to MIL's between Christmas and New Year and then SIL's on New Years Eve. So far no invites have happened. Need to do something at New Year or I wil go mad!!!

Hope everyone is surviving. Xmas Smile

Hello everyone, hope you all had a fab Xmas (some of you sound like it was a bit crazy!) and lots of happiness in 2012 :o

France was lovely, but was over too soon, won't see my mother again until baby 2 due (c10wks time) so seems ages away. Annalise wasn't particularly excited about Christmas though, she really is the most chilled out, relaxed, adaptable easy-going person I think I've ever met (unless she misses her nap)! I hope she stays that way, must be nice just take everything in your stride without blinking!

Nice to see you briefly PPM, and hugs and kisses to everyone, the in-laws are here for a bit longer yet...

Happy New Year everyone. Xmas Grin

Decorations came down yesterday as DH ever the ogre was eagre to get cleared up. Went to SIL'S for New Year and as soon as I walked in FIL poked my tummy and asked if there was another baby in there. Er no, I have just put weight on over Christmas. Diet starts tomorrow.....

Matthew still not talking so waiting for the call from the HV with lots of questions. He is ultra lovely so not going to worry.

Girls are back at school tomorrow and Emma worried about facing her bully friend. I am ready for this!

Can't believe it is January, almost want to start planning for next Christmas. Xmas Blush

Big wave to all of you!

We're just rubbing along here.

Wonderful Thanksgiving trip, crazy two weeks home then we went to the inlaws for two and half weeks for Christmas & New Year. We're home now and I'm so happy to be back. I love being back to my lovely little family of three, just us.

I had to cancel/reschedule S's two year check-up since they scheduled it for the week before Christmas when we were away. I haven't received info on his rescheduled clinic. I'm not worried but am desperate to know how tall he is and how much he weighs. We have estimates but I want the official stats! So does Mom since she's making him things.

My final bloods appointment is next week. I'm sooo excited and hope the following week I get the phone call saying I'm "free and clear and released" from the clinic. I feel so much better now that I'm off the meds.

We're still swimming weekly in a toddler & parent swimming "class." We both love it. I can't believe in two terms he can move into "big boy swimming" actual toddler swimming lessons where the parents sit on the side and watch. Shock It just doesn't seem possible! My friend and her daughter are still in our swim session, and have been since we all started swimming classes when the kids were five months old, and we're talking about trying to keep the kids together for the parent free lessons. The kids are so sweet together and about each other. I know toddlers this age don't have "friends" in the true sense but they are friends they each light up when they see each other, they talk about the other, etc. For those that are my FB friends, S's little friend is the cute little red-haired girl in some of the pictures. She's such a sweetie -- very firey but fabulous. It's hard making friends in my town, especially given my background (as in, not from here), so I'm glad I have found a friend/alia.

I need to get to bed but will try to get back tomorrow for personals.

G'night!

HappyTangerine · 06/01/2012 19:42

Hello lovely ladies, a belated Happy New Year to you all. Christmas seems like it was ages ago doesn't it? I think there should be a mandatory bank holiday in mid January to cheer everyone up, it's such a grim month! Our groups start back next week, thank God-Joe needs to butn off some energy!Wink

So what time were we all woken up on Christmas day? (Drumroll) 3.10am here. I'd gone to bed at 1.30am and was a zombie by 3pm, Christmas dinner almost finished me off! Luckily Joe wore himself out and was in bed, asleep by 6pm.

Christmas was good, although Joe was a bit overwhelmed by all the presents so I held a lot back on the day and tried to stagger it. Huge family so we were still opening presents on New Years Eve! Our visit to Wales was lovely but too short. I am still laughing when I think about J at the M5 services. He'd got down from his seat after lunch and went to stare at this poor teenager who was sat in a different section, trying to eat his McDonalds. Just stood there, staring as the poor lad got more and more uncomfortable and every time we led him away, he ran back...then he finally reached up, grabbed a chip and ran off! Little monkey. He makes me laugh every day. Dh is a right grump at this time of year and would hibernate through every January if he could so it's nice to have someone as mischevous as me to offset it. Grin

Back in a bit with personals - am trying to fix it so I have no ironing to do this weekend as I'm planning on revamping the wilderness bit of garden at the back tomorrow (exciting!). Actually I am a bit excited, it's the size of a good allotment patch so I'm growing my own veg there.

HappyTangerine · 06/01/2012 20:15

Right, self-enforced breakWink

littlepea How was your Christmas/New Year and how are you all settling in down South? Are the people in the village (base?) nice? Hope ds1 school gets sorted soon.

PPM Lovely to hear from you and F sounds adorable. Micro-scooter sounds great fun!

fidelma How are things with you? Recoved from Christmas yet or is it all go again! Is it all sorted with dd1 and her mates now? Sorry about your mum's best friend. Sad

HC Don't worry too much about hv, if your instincts tell you Matthew is doing just fine then let him go at his own pace. Things that have really helped here: bubbles (up, down, POP!), straws - blowing silly toys across a table, poking tongue out and moving it from side to side - took some persuading but thats a work in progres. How is school for Emma at the mo, is the bully behaving herself?

Calypso How did A like her Martian Moonhouse? J loves his, I think its only second to the rocking horse in terms of favourite toys. I can't believe how quickly your pg is progressing, your dc2 will be here soon! Glad you had such a fab time back home.

Scout Sending you positive vibes for next week. Good luck getting S to stand still for height/weight measurement with HV - Joe was having none of it! He'd jump on and jump off again before anyone could take a reading. He finally got bored of this and led the hv to the scales with a "no, no no - You up!" Poor woman gave up in the end and just said he was clearly fine and was obv going to be tall like his dad.

Hope I haven't missed anyone, plse pass on my best to Iggly,Twink and Rubyslippers if still on fb though.

CalypsoFramboise · 08/01/2012 21:35

Hello all! All fine here, in-laws are gone and for once no-one fell out massively - phew! being back at work last week meant I had a bit of time to relax (I will never know how you find the energy to be full time mums!) and pg going well so far...

Scout good to hear from you, the swimming class sound a lot of fun, its the only time I wish I had a car as the bus is annoyingly unreliable to the easiest pool to get to (the better pool is always full) and I really hate waiting around with wet hair, as does Annalise! I can't believe what Seb is going to be doing in the next class, sounds very grown up :)

HT haha Joe is so funny, I bet he'll be the most popular boy at school :o And Annalise LOVES the moonhouse, at the expense of other more girly gifts (including a tiara - not bought by us!). She loves the Star-Trek like door that opens between the kitchen and the garage, everything goes through there :o Oh and guess where we're going on holiday Coombe Mill farm, I think that it was you who went last year? We're staying in a cottage with another family who's little boy is 6 wks younger than Annalise and is her best friend; they were over today and the toddlers kept hugging and laughing, its very cute :) Also the mummy is a really good friend and she's now due 6 wks after me again so we'll be slumming about the farm with newborns whilst the dads entertain the toddlers. Hope the weather holds!

fidelma are you ok?! Hope the start of school means a bit more time in the day to relax :)

littlepea Hope the house is feeling more and more like a nice home

Big hello and hugs to HC, Iggly and everyone else. I'm really craving Wine argh!

xoxo

fidelma · 09/01/2012 19:15

Hi all did a huge post the other night but mn went down and I lost it all sad

All well will be back later x

HumphreysCorner · 10/01/2012 13:42

Afternoon ladies!

Back to normal now and Spring is on its way-hurrah!

Girls went back to school and the bully has been given a big talking to by school. Apparently it is not just Emma on the receiving end, the girl opened the 6 year olds present before Christmas which I think I mentioned but when her mum went into complain on the first day back it turns out the girl opened the Headteachers daughter's present. Also there have been more parents complaining about the bully telling everyone about Santa. Result, she got 2 red cards and was told no more will be tolerated and no wonder Emma's mum doesn't want bully round to play. She cried during the telling off and protested her innocence. Hmm

Diet going OK apart from a blip when we went to MIL's on Sunday for a Christmas dinner. Don't remember feeling this hungry when doing weight watchers but perhaps my stomach is overstretched from the over indulgence.

Dad is going to book the beach hut for July this week but also have persuaded DH to take the caravan to a nearby caravan site for the week so it will be a proper seaside holiday. Grin

Mum is off to the Drs tomorrow as she is in agony in her bits, burning but not cystitis. Took a course of AB's but still has it. She has convinced herself it is what my Grandma had.

Hope everyone is OK. Smile

SIX DAYS- where is everyone?! Shock ..I am getting vague withdrawl symptoms here - was even considering reactivating my fb account earlier just to check littlepea is ok!

Anyhow, how are we all? All fine here. Joe has started dancing and also asking me to dance, tis very cute. He's now very much aware of other children wanting to play with things he has at group and we are merrily chipping away at time out/removal of toy/sorry hug when he tries to push them over/snatch toy etc etc. I am past the point of embarassment now and just get on with the apologies and distraction Ah well, just a phase...

I am attending an open day at a local Uni on Feb 8th and I am very nervous Blush. Have spent a long time looking at what I'd like to do when Joe goes to school and oddly enough ended up back where I started at 16-typical!Smile

HC Your poor mum Sad, how is she now? I am so Shock at bully girl picking on headteachers child. Looks like they soon started to act after that. I am glad for Emma. Are things better there now? How is Matthew and the rest of the family?

littlepea and fidelma Hope all is well with you

Calypso You will love Coombe Mill. We did so much that we are going back in May! The day starts with the tractor rides at about 9am, thats a good 1.5/2hrs of feeding the animals every day. Afternoons we did touristy things-Daymar Bay and Polzeath are close by and there is so much to do.

Scout How did you get on with the blood tests? All well I hope.

Scout19075 · 17/01/2012 07:31

I find out this week the blood test results. EEK!

S and I seem to be passing back-and-forth this cold he got the week before Christmas and I wish I could shake it. It's driving me nuts.

littlepea72 · 17/01/2012 09:10

I am here HT I have been on, but just not getting round to writing anything....will give myself a slap lol

Im loving Joe, honestly, the poor guy getting his chip stolen LOL....so funny! I would love to see him & Faith together, they would rule the place lol. So what have you thought about with uni??? Any ideas???

HC I hate bullies, glad this girl has been found out. My friend was finding it hard to settle in and meet friends where she is now living, she is also married into the army. She met this wonderful woman and they are firm friends now. Her wee girl is also being bullied in school, and this woman who she has met, her wee girl looks like she is getting a hard time too, so when she asked if my friends wee girl would like to go to her home, play and have her tea, my friend said no, but your wee one could go to ours (my friend doesnt like her girl out of her sight, this bully really upset her), so she said ok. My friens wee girl (7 yrs old) and her wee sister (5) just looked at each other. What a nightmare.....this other girl was upto everything, doing things you just dont do, not even in your own house, and she was getting caught by my friend but saying no it wasnt her, even though my friend seen her. Anyway, my friend took her back home.....and then her wee girl broke down crying.....that was the bully! She was terrible, really hurting other girls, getting them into trouble. But her mum thinks everyone else is doing this to her wee girl, even when the teacher told her, she said, no not my daughter, she said it was the other girls doing it to her......how do you win with that? A mother who thinks the suns shines out of her child. It has put my friend in a terrible place now.....and she feels so bad for being this girl into her house. I think she is lucky to now know.
How is your mum??

Calypso how long do you have left now?? It cant be that long! How are you feeling???

Scout good luck with your bloods

Fidelma Are you ok???

Hi to everyone else Grin

Still no school grrrrrr.....its a bloody joke now! We cant keep going on like this.
Faith decided to throw water over the tv, thank god I stopped it going bang! She is a wee devil! You cant watch her.....and if you tell her off, or put her in the naughty chair....she will laugh and put her finger to her lips, go shhhhhh.....no more talking mummy!!! Shock its impossible! lol

Will have to go.....coffee awaits! lol....

fidelma · 17/01/2012 17:41

And this morning my little sister phoned, she is coming over with my neice for 4 days next week!! Just what I need, so so happy Grin

How are things Scout

Are you getting much off your hair Fidelma?

HumphreysCorner · 19/01/2012 13:31

Hi all

littlepea-40 is young, I am 43 in October! You are good doing exercise. That's a sad story about the bully. Emma hasn't had any more problems and the girl has even asked Emma to go and play. Emma doesn't want to and I said no anyway.

fidelma-still busy as ever. Smile

HT-uni eh? You all seem to do important things, all I do is clean DH's office on a Saturday. Hmm

Hi scout

Heard today that the nursery Matthew was going to next January is closing so it looks like he will end up at the preschool in the next village and have to wear a uniform at just 3 years old. Sad The girls all went to nurseries where they could dress in their own clothes and not wear a grown up uniform before they actually had to.

My mum is off to the Drs again tomorrow (3rd visit) as she is still in agony. Dr said it might be menopausal, she is 70 and went through that 25 years ago. Hmm

Mum asked me to text my bro to ask when their 25th wedding anniversary was as she can't remember and when my toxic SIL last spoke to my mum she screeched 'well if you don't know the year we got married then I'm not going to tell you as you should know!' Anyway, just got a reply and he doesn't know either! If I still spoke to the toxic one how I would love to tell her that her own husband doesn't know either! Grin

Matthew still isn't speaking much but we have progressed to saying moo, baa and miaow, mum, grandad and it's der. 7 words now!

Went to my friend's this morning so haven't managed to get to Mini Movers today, feel guilty but can't fit so much in. Swimming after school today.

Love to all!

[gutted] It didn't work. Stupid blood's still broken. They're going to try again with a new cocktail in a couple of months. I'm not sure I can do it again. I lost nearly 40lbs this last time and I was only just over 140 lbs to start with. I really just want to hold S and be held by my own mom -- but S is napping and Mom's 3500 miles away. I feel so all alone right now.
