Heath Visitor says not to worry.But?

At james's last check,health visitor noticed the "dimple" at the bottom of his spine still hasn't closed over completly.Anyone with any info on this?

Oh I think this is quite common - marina's daughter had this I think - will do a search.

Thanks so much.Just read the thread,hv didn't mention spina bifida,but said I must see the dr "so he's aware".Thanks again.

they just need to check that its not open through to the spine I think, we had this with dd and they were happy once they new it was sealed, now she just has it and we forget about it mostly.

My dd still has a hairy behind at two, and her sacral dimple, but we had to prise her off the loft ladder at 9ft above floor level yesterday so she is certainly not experiencing mobility problems. She was a late walker though...
Hopefully you will have no further worries irishmum.

ooh - my DS has one. didn't realise it could be a concern - actually, my DH has one too!
