Cakes she's definately not gina forded! I dont read any books on routine or anything! And always feel bad to say that she sleeps on here so dont like to talk about it but tbh i never done anything to get her into a routine its just the way it happened.
She never slept all day today!! literally one 5 minute cap nap. Im in my mums and theres always so much going on here that she has loads to keep her occupied!
Pulled a muscle in my shoulder yesterday and cant even work with it. Its really painful and cant do anything not even lift the baby...

stac14 · 07/11/2010 21:42

lol @ lo's being gina forded, no chance of that here. I just hope for the best. She did sleep 12 to 7.30 last night think sometimes i am too quick to jump up iyswim

Oooh... Where abouts near Leeds, CakeandRoses? Grin [nosy] I'm sat in Leeds this very moment... Living here and all! He could be West or North Yorkshire, depending on just how close he is.

I've not heard of those either, MLIC. Blush But then I'm technically from Bucks/Herts myself and ended up in this area after graduation.

Congratulations on the engagement, DesperateHousewife!! Grin I'll be looking forward to hearing about all the excitement of wedding planning.

The feeding schedule here CakesandRoses (when M's not having a growth spurt!) is currently along the lines of: 7:30am BF, 9:30am BF, 11:30am BF, 1pm BF, 2:30pm BF, 4pm BF, 6pm Baby Porridge + Formula, 7pm BF. Feeds take about 30-45 minutes, but I'm sure a chunk of that is just comfort sucking as M will not take a dummy and isn't interested in her thumb!

HA cakes he wont take a dummy and screams blue murder at any 'technique' so its feed to sleep til he's on solids then we're going to reassess the situation.

Last episode of downton abbey :( Im going to miss it on a Sun eve. Now I dont have work on a Mon I do enjoy Sunday eves.

kkfairybrains · 07/11/2010 22:28

Oh spireal when did you introduce the spoonfeed? hows it going?
Tsc was reading that thread and she is definately full of it! stil have to keep checking though just in case!

CakeandRoses · 07/11/2010 22:36

tsc I'm living in hope that she isn't full of it and she's somehow in the know. Clues could be a bit better tho.

Will frankie take a dummy or is he as scornful of those as he is with any of type of teat? (Imagines Frankie making a bonfire out of any type of drinking device and tsc having a bittyesque man on her hands)

What a pain dh, did you try a cherry one?

Mine have both been the opposite - no comfort sucking on me at all but both loved a dummy.

This very scientific survey shows how different babies really are, doesn't it? Makes you realise most of the baby books are full of shit.

On a different note... I have nothing to wear!

I'm not sure if it's years of being pg and bf, a midlife crisis or my body not being quite what it used to be but I open my wardrobe and something dies inside (inside me, not the wardrobe).

I'm literally living in breton stripe tops and jeans and boots/ballet flats. Everything else looks weird - like it's someone else's wardrobe (this is on the hangers I mean, I'm not even trying it on).

The thing which really bugs me is that it all would fit as I'm kinda the same size as before but my body just feels much more, erm, flubbery.

I would buy more clothes but what, ffs?!!

CakeandRoses · 07/11/2010 22:43

Oh and when I look at clothes, I just see MOREFUCKINGLAUNDRY.

spirael mirfield (is that actually near leeds?!)

CakeandRoses · 07/11/2010 22:44

(Genuflects in tsc's direction as is traditional and respectful when the L word is mentioned)

tsc gawd, you're a more dedicated woman than I! I reckon - would at least try a dummy and see what happens but I guess it depends on what your supply was like with K and C.

You really don't look lardy at all in your pics but I know it's more about what's normal (ie before 'Babies - they fuck you up') for you. I'm used to being slim and now I look 'ok for having had two children' iyswim?

stac14 · 07/11/2010 23:03

An h cup? Wow! (hazards guess that tsc probably doesn't have supply issues)

Mine are a measly D even with bf.

If your dp is a breast man then he'll be v happy anyway.

Stac - sounds as tho you've got enough to worry about without looking at your diet. Can you get treatment for the pcos and thyroid probs?

Cakes thats exactly the way i feel but could never put it into words!
i have 2 and a half stone to lose. Not an easy feat but i am trying. Im finding slimming world good if anyobe interested in finding out about that. Trying to get excersise in and had started jogging last week and was meant to go today but my shoulder put a stop to that and i know its going to set me back. Just hard to find the bloody time.
And definately finding tge limited wardrobe. Actually chucked out the majority of my clothes a few eeeks ago as i was sick to death of looking into the wardrobe and gettin that wave of depression when your reminded once again of the flabby body!

CakeandRoses · 07/11/2010 23:29

Did you have to stop bf altogether for the weight to come off last time or just drop down to less feeds?

I think that I dropped it once F was down to just morning and bedtime feeds. We got married when he was 11 months and i looked fine in my wedding dress.

That's really crappy. Nuf respect to you for bf then!

It doesn't help if you can't get up and do much. I don't do any proper exercise at all these days but I'm a non-stop fidgeter, walker and tidier-upper.

stac also meant to say, I don't really do diets. I just eat healthily and I don't mean diet/low-cal/low-fat stuff. I eat masses of veg, rice, lentils, beans, pasta with home-made sauces etc. My downfall is cake but only home-made ones - and i don't make enough of them for it to be an issue!

Needle · 08/11/2010 00:00

Ikk, I sent three bags of clothes to the charity shop a few weeks ago. My clothes when I met dh took up 5 wardrobes, now they barely fill 2 drawers. The only thing I couldn't bear to throw away was all all my vintage dresses, because I spent so much time sewing the damn things, but I doubt I'll ever get back into them, as this time last year I was sooo thin.

My uniform now is skinny jeans, knee high boots and something black or grey on top.

I was thinking about trying the dukan diet, which is meant to be amazing, but I think it would be a. expensive and b. really dull.

Chulita · 08/11/2010 07:57

cakes I've tried some of the stuff on kellymom but tbh the faff of getting hot/moist compresses on before every feed is a right pita. I should really give it a go though cos I need to shift it. I'm not really up for flashing my nips to random doctors...

cakes needle and kkfairy I think most of us are in the same boat. I get so depressed looking at my clothes. DH says I look lovely but it's what I'm used to that gets me down. I used to be a fit active size 8/10, now I'm an unfit size 12 with a massive saggy belly. I hate getting dressed in the morning, I'd rather stay in my dressing gown cos everyone looks fat in those Grin

It's wet and 'orrible outside today, debating whether to pack up the kiddies and dodge the drops to get to a toddler group or not, can't decide
