Love to all. Thoughts for you all cyteen, hotter esp.

longwayfromhome · 12/09/2010 20:40

PS hello dizzy!

My grandparents gave me some money for canoeing lessons for one of my teenage birthdays accompanied by a note saying "we are unsure as to why you might need canoodling lessons"

Lincolnshire heritage weekend this weekend. Lots of fab educational things.

cyteen (again) my house is a state, although apparently not at the moment as we have been away for 2 months. Am sure that we will be able to cause chaos again soon. Can you get a cleaner? Until going away ours came for 3 hours a week and was fab as it meant that I had to tidy up each week as well before she came.

PPS all, did I tell you about my child care arrangements. Apologies if so.

DS will start nursery 2-4.45pm and we will have a nanny/mothers help from 2-6. Hopefully that means that I can do some work. I have lots already for this year, which is good news, but means the childcare will need to work.

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/09/2010 21:16

PMSL @ canoodling lessons Grin

Fantastic news on the job and childcare in place LWFH, sounds like it is all coming together Smile

Well, i have cleaned the oven, made jam, been to Sainsbos and taken the DD's swimming . It appears that DD2 is getting a cold though and was trembling for ages after her swim Sad. Still proclaiming 'no, i'm a big girl' to any question, such as 'are you cold?', 'would you like some toast?' HmmGrin

cyteen · 12/09/2010 21:34

Glad you got your childcare sorted out longway :) Re. the mess, it's only because our house is so small - any speck of pending washing up/vacuuming/etc. that one might get away with in a larger house instantly makes our place look shit, and because there's so much wedding clutter lying around the place atm it looks extra slummy.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, I am reading and digesting them but am also unfortunately trying to digest the huge helpings of toad in the hole and plum crumble I had for dinner...and not doing a very good job Blush so I am off to bed x

TwilightSurfer · 13/09/2010 00:25

Cyteen when is AF due? Are you LATE??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY L

oopsandbabycoconuts · 13/09/2010 06:58

DD was up at 5.45 because she fell out of bed at some point in the night and ended up under her bed. Dh went to get her and unfortunately didn't listen to the 'do't talk to her' so she was wide awake when he brought her in and then he talked to me, DD1 was wide awake and she woke DD2, Dhis still snoring and I an down here with the girls Hmm

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We went shopping at the designer outlet on Saturday, DD1 was desperate for a pair of trainers like her Papa's so we obliged at the Clarks outlet shop. Yesterday we went to a beautiful lake with friends for lunch and brownies a walk, the boys men went off to play with cars and plan a trip to do a classic car hill climb. Hmm [hmm again]

Best go and feed the hungry masses, have a good day everyone.

springaporesling · 13/09/2010 07:01

HAPPY BIRTHDAY L

Trying to catch up from the weekend

LWFH lol re canoodling and great news on childcare.

Hots Sad re Step-Dad.

Tweakers last time DH and I went to the forest we managed to find an anthill Shock

luckoftheirish · 13/09/2010 07:52

Happy Birthday L!!!

Big girl's first full day of school, i'm a wreck, she is bouncing around Hmm.. tissues at the ready, bbl xxx

QueenofDreams · 13/09/2010 09:38

Morning everyone.

We've had the most shocking night here. S seems to have croup so was crying every 20-30 minutes because he couldn't breathe. So lots of croupy wheezing, vomiting, hysteria etc through the entire night. I think I got about an hour's sleep. Poor DP, don't know how he's going to cope at work today!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 13/09/2010 09:40

Ladies excuse me a second......

FECK FECK FECK FECK my thyroid is on the blink again! I thought having E was going to sort it out! Now I am stuck on more needle poking regimes and blinking tablets. Thankfully this doc is okay with me feeding on them and will check E's bloods every 10 weeks, which I think this the lesser evil than stoppingher much loved boobie. No exercise, long walks or bloody anything until is is fixed!

As you were, rant over :)

tweakers · 13/09/2010 09:45

spring whereas we found a baby Grin

oh loti, good luck!

P and DH fast asleep still. T and I are watching thomas videos on you tube so i'm typing this in a little slip of a window under the you tube window! blimey, its almost 10 o'clock..that girl can sleep when she wants to, bit like her daddy!
i'm feeling like a new woman this morning! DH has been force feeding me doughnuts (12 Krispy kremes in 24hrs!), flapjacks and cookies and they appear to be working. my energy levels seem alot more, to the extent that i came downstairs by myself!! (DH has been helping me til now!)
pil been and gone, and actually i think everyone had a nice weekend. them staying in a hotel made a huge difference for us all.

tweakers · 13/09/2010 09:51

sorry crossed with you both...

qod poor S. would a steamy bathroom help him?

oops not good news. but, at least you can keep feeding. are you allowed any exercise at all?

sorry for short messages, DS has commandeered by left arm/hand for cuddles!

QueenofDreams · 13/09/2010 09:56

Tweaks good to hear you're getting more energy. DOn't overdo it though! Well we steamed up the bathroom at about midnight (put vicks in the water as well) and that helped for less than an hour before he couldn't breathe again. I could only get him to sleep on me (upright) which shows how poorly he was feeling. He NEVER falls asleep on me any more :(

He's got a docs appointment at 12.30

oops :( hope your thyroid co operates and gets fixed quickly.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 13/09/2010 10:09

QOD - please take him to the doc if you can - a short dose of steriods will clear him up by tonight then youcan all get some rest.

Tweaky - Am glad to hear you are now allowed downstairs alone :) If you are finding lovely little P is having a day/night issue then a little outside time during the day can help reset her body clock.

As for exercise not allowed at all, not even buggy to town as my heart appears to be on on speed at the moment. Am off to have bloods taken at 11 then wait to see how wonkey I am.

luckoftheirish · 13/09/2010 10:30

oh oops you poor thing, hopefully you will get it sorted v v soon hugs..

qod poor little ds he is having a really hard time atm, and poor u no sleep.. fingers crossed you will get it sorted quickly and get some much needed zzzz hugs..

well dd1 off at school. i cried like a baby and have a huge knot in my tummy!!!

springaporesling · 13/09/2010 11:43

Loti hugs to you too. What a day!

Oops oh no hope that things improve soon with the meds

QoD hope the doctor can sort it as Oops says then you can both get some sleep tonight.

Tweakers it's great that you are getting to spend some time with DS on your own too whilst P naps. Am not going to visit forest(more like jungle) here in hope of a baby as I think there might be other things a bit more scary than ants to worry about Grin

cyteen · 13/09/2010 13:34

TS sadly no, period arrived on time last Friday and is still ongoing :) but thanks for your suspicions Grin

oops that is crap news :( My friend has a knackered thyroid post-natally too and it is really getting her down, although she is hypo rather than hyper so feels constantly lethargic and low of mood.

QoD mucho sympathies to all of you. Hopefully the doctor will have given you some fast-acting medicine for S by now. It is so rubbish when they're ill :(

loti you must be v proud, she looks so grown up in her pictures on FB - can see why you were blubbing.

Have any of you ever visited a European Christmas market? We're thinking of doing a mini-break to Bruges for their one, since the city is so lovely - thought it might be a nice Christmassy trip for DS, plus going on a big train etc. Nothing to do with Belgian beer at all
