tweakers · 08/09/2010 18:22

TS if a couple of extras wanting to help has caused that angst for her then it doesn't sound like she was the best woman for the job anyway. soooooo now's your chance girlie!! the head room mum position is now available

(sorry, only read the last post Blush i'll go and catch up in a minute)

ooh, forgot to say, one of my really good friends had her baby yesterday too!! she had a whopping 10lb something boy. she was due 3 days before me so yday was 40+12. all i know is that it didn't go to plan but that baby and mum are both doing good

oh and i've looked at my notes and i got in the pool at 12.20 so it wasn't even an hour! it wasn't quite orgasmic but it was a lovely experience

the bit i typed earlier was the nice bit. the bit after was horrible... don't read if squeamish...TMI alert!!!

i started bleeding lots, and had to get out of pool quickly, had many stitches (internal and external but i apparently now have a designer vagina Grin)
DH decided that i should get up to bed so i went upstairs and promptly fainted. a few hours later needed to go to the loo and fainted again (fainting actually really quite cool, i've never done it before!) I've felt really wobbly today and absolutely exhausted but just eaten half a pizza and feeling a bit more with it. Still bleeding a fair amount (more than the normal lochia stuff) but it does seem to be calming down a bit. mw said today, any more big clots and i'm going to the hospital.... we shall see, hopefully it won't come to that. I haven't fainted since this morning so keep your fingers crossed that things are calming down

on a happier note...DS has fallen completely in love with his little sister SmileSmile He loves tickling her tummy, kissing her, cuddling her etc And he's so gentle with her, i'm really quite amazed!
DD is fantasticly beautiful, and has done nothing but sleep since she was born (unlike DS who waited til he was 14mths to give sleeping a go!). I'm having to wake her up to force feed her! We've got a baby who sleeps!!!!!!!!!! (although we're not counting our chickens just yet!)

DH is being absolutely amazing. During labour he was always there when i needed him, had a long skin to skin with Pea while i was being repaired, entertained both DD and DS to try and let me have some sleep yday afternoon and then when they were both in bed, spent hours clearing up the birth pool.

photos have now been tagged on fb so you should all be able to see her [smlle]
Erm and her name may well not be spelt how DH has spelt it! first name is right but we're still 'discussing' the spellling of her middle names!)

tweakers · 08/09/2010 18:27

VG She's got my hair colour, possibly DH's eyes but she hasn't had them open long enough for us to see whether they're blue or brown yet!
she's an absolute dream to feed once she's been woken up enough!

buckets yeah, it was brilliant. we didn't really do a full hypnobirth thing, i mostly just had the relaxation cd playing and the breathing so not much of the hypno side. that bit takes weeks of practising and we only went on the course a couple of weeks before she was due!
but the little we did do, really helped

spring i quite like being tweakers Smile

hello to everyone else and apologies if i've missed any questions!

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 18:44

Wow tweakers, sorry to hear you went through the mill a bit Sad, but DH sounded fab Smile. Hope you manage to avoid hozzie . I had 2 reluctant feeders (due to needing to be woken to feed), so if she carries on, just call me, i think i know every trick in the book Hmm

TS Tweakers speaks sense despite being light headed. You can sweep in, rescue the day and become head room mom. Otherwise run for the hills, they sound crayzeeeeee Confused. And yes, more than you LOL WinkGrin

Who is the 3rd accountant Spring? QoD?

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 18:44

Oh, and i STILL can't see any pictures

tweakers · 08/09/2010 18:48

she's not a reluctant feeder, she's a reluctant waker-up Smile Thanks though, i may well be calling you...

oops thanks for posting on my childbirth thread...how did you know about it though? i kept meaning to ask one of you to update them but forgot!

tweakers · 08/09/2010 18:53

another bit i forgot...
one of the most magical bits was listening to the rain whilst sitting in the pool and as soon as she was born, the sun came out!

tweakers · 08/09/2010 18:54

and actually, the sun was rising when it all started so i was sitting in our back room with my eyes closed, with the brightness and warmth from the sun on my face...that was pretty cool too!

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 18:59

Ah yes, but there are tips to keep them awake and not falling asleep whilst feeding. Hopefully she stays awake though
The rain and sun sounds magical Smile

hotterpotter · 08/09/2010 19:00

I can't see any pictures either!

Tweaky ouch! Glad your bleeding has slowed, take it easy lass Smile

Crispy the 3 were us with aching wombs, me, cyteen and springa (although do like sums too!)

TwilightSurfer · 08/09/2010 19:19

Tweakers your tidbits (apart from the bleeding & fainting) make me smile. So so so very nice.

Ya'll can forget the room mom stuff. I absolutely HATE how I feel right now. She phoned and left a message saying she did take offense to my call but she's since changed her mind and will not be stepping down. She's phoned the 2 other ladies and they are set to meet and discuss what their needs are and how to arrange help. She (choked out) is happy to have so many who want to be involved.Biscuit I hate being misunderstood in the HORRIBLE PERSON kind of way.Sad

Crispy I've not been able to see pics either. Off to check again.

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 20:22

Lordy TS a narrow escape me thinks. I now stand by the 'run for the hills' guidance [wimp]Grin

Oh dizz, is it a 'no, you need to recover some more, get your hip sorted and have too much on your plate atm' or a 'NO' Sad? PLease tell me to feck off if you don't wish to answer Grin

Thanks for clearing that up hots. was rather Confused

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 20:57

Just remembered DD2 keeps saying 'noooo, i'm not a baby, i'm a big girl' Sad

She's my baby

TwilightSurfer · 08/09/2010 21:07

stop all this faffle about wanting more babies!! you're going to make me start crying again.

the new moon in venus is not having the effect it should. or maybe it did and upon acting on it i messed things up.

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 08/09/2010 21:21

Crispy - it's a 'no' we're not going through that again Sad which is fair enough I suppose Hmm

my fecking CM is taking the piss now and I'm getting rather cross unfortunately we need flexibility due to DH's sodding work HOWEVER this does not mean that she can fanny about. Have sent her a text replying to her snippet one and will see what comes from that

hotterpotter · 08/09/2010 21:31

Aaaah is this what your cryptic fb message is about? Happy to come and bash with accessories if necessary. I have an aged fake croc skin one of my grandma's which is hefty enough to do some real damage Grin

dizzydixies · 08/09/2010 21:31

yes but was also hoping cakey lady would see it and think it was for her and feck off but alas no and she is now on there sympathising Ffs!!!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 08/09/2010 21:40

Evening all

Tweaky sound idyllic until the stitches and blood loss - please get the spatone and OJ routine going ASAP, it really does help. I had to wake DD2 to feed initially as she was very sleepy and stunned by the fast birth, she soon caught on!

Dizzy - Sad but I can understand his point of view, rather a happy healthy you and happy girls than risking losing you and another baby.

DD2's appointment went well and we managed to see the Consultant as his reg couldn't decide what type of birthmark DD2 had so she called him in. It turns out the GP has mis-identified it and it should fade by the time she is 2 or 3 and if not then they will treat her then. I am so pleased - I was terrified of her having to undergo horrible treatment.

Evening Crispy, HP, Springa and everyone else.

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 21:53

Oh Dizz Sad. I know oops is right, but i think give both of yourselves time. You are young 'uns. No need to shut every door just yet.

oops fantastic news Smile

dizzydixies · 08/09/2010 21:54

I'm aware he's not being unreasonable Oops but there is still room for one more - just a wee one Grin

brilliant news for consultant and Angry at silly GP frightening you re gorgeous E

oopsandbabycoconuts · 08/09/2010 22:03

Dizzy - as Crispy says you are still mucho young enough to try again once things are settled and not so fresh in his mind. Pleanty of space still for a little un. In fact I can send you a smallish one if you like? This model is just 2 eats raw broccoli for breafast and shreddies for supper!!

dizzydixies · 08/09/2010 22:06

oh no no no no no, if it's not happening now it's SO not happening. I can't be starting all this again in 5yrs time [meep]

well done to those with a gap but I don't think I could!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 22:09

LOL, not sure you breed wee ones WinkGrin
