You are SO easily bought dizz Grin. You do realise it is made of canvas? Wink

Hiya Ataraxis Smile. Stop lurking and come and natter with us. I am in Bristol on Weds and next Thurs but not sure when lunch might be, but may be able to text & meet for a quick coffee?

Ataraxis · 06/09/2010 21:51

Cool Crispy (not sure I have called you that before!)
Deffo in Bristol Wed/Thurs so let me know. I work near parkway but can get out for a bit if you give me some notice. Or we have several coffee facilities on site, one of which is ok, if you want to come up that way.

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 21:59

ok, will recheck timetables (both courses) and keep you posted on mobile if it looks possible Smile

Shurrup about winter VG

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 22:09

Evening all

Just spent a thrilling 3 hours in Swindon A&E with DD1 who ran onto the corner of the dining table and knocked herself out. she was out for a minute or so, so our local hospital wouldn't even look at her and we traipsed to the swill bucket that is Swindon hospital because they have an on call pediatric reg.

back in a bit DH back with dinner.

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:12

VG - apparently not and DH has warned the organiser that I'm gunning for him. Thanks for the best wishes though Smile

We hadn't anything booked btw - we just fancied not being here iyswim so I could switch off. Even if it was just to the farm or something Hmm

Definately autumn weather here but Sat was a scorcher!

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:14

oops yes, spending 3 hrs in Swindon is a waste of anyone's life. Well apart from the outlet centre which is really rather good Grin

Glad P is ok and you are all home and tucked up Smile

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:17

fuck sake. A friend of a friend of mine on FB has just asked me for my fecking brownie recipe and she thinks its fine to do so as she has done it politetly Hmm She's set up her own baking FB site and keeps linking to that Bakery who shall not be named so am considering telling her to feck off and ask them for theirs Angry

now, maybe I'm being mean as I've had some recipes from Oops etc but really - AIBU in thinking , eh, no - you're not getting it love

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 22:20

Dizz - tell her to bog off - I shared my recipes willingly You never asked!

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:22

seriously Oops, am I being precious here??

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:22

Tell her the recipe is:

Pick up the phone
Call Dizz
Order brownies
Pay money
Take delivery
Eat & Enjoy

Biscuit
dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:23

ROFL!!!!

cyteen · 06/09/2010 22:24

dizzy

Off to bed, night all x and GOOD LABOURING TWEAKERS :) :) :) :) :)

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:26

GrinGrinGrinGrin Cyteen - thank you x

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:26

PMSL Cyteen

I think conclusive proof to tell her to feck right off

Off to bed here too, sleep well all, especially tweakers if pea is not to be prised from her pod this evening Smile

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:27

so I'm not being precious then?!?!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 22:30

No way Dizz, Ben &Jerrys would tell you to bog off if you asked for their recipe - you do the same!

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:32

Where is the request BTW? . Is it a private message?

dizzydixies · 06/09/2010 22:35

yes, she asked me to join her FB page which I did and left a polite encouraging message. She has then sent me a private message asking for my recipe or one that I know works/could recommend Hmm

I got mine off the internet and tweaked it, it's hardly fecking rocket science

just had a text asking for ANOTHER charity donation as well. I've already got two donations that weekend but apparently that's not a decent enough reason not to be giving them one as well. It's not even my church and the other two are for Clic Sgt and the Maggies Centre ffs

GladioliBuckets · 06/09/2010 22:38

Dizzy Tell her she is being unreasonable. Can you delete her post?

TS was an amazing kids' show with all sorts of cool cameos in it. And after 12yrs that clip has finally scratched my itch about where I'd seen Buffy' sister Dawn before. I remember The Real World too, esp when that girl got in trouble for asking someone with a beeper if they were a pimpGrin. I have since used that line every time I've met someone with a beeper LOL.

On another random tv nostalgia note, does anyone remember how hot Pete Duel was in Alias Smith & Jones?

hotterpotter · 06/09/2010 22:39

Dizzy you wouldn't give your brownie recipe to me so don't be giving it to some random internet woman HmmGrin

Oops poor P Sad but glad she is OK now. Hope she sleeps well.

Gee wizz it's really peeing down out there, and the dripping guttering outside the patio doors makes it sound even worse. Glad I was too lazy to water the pots this summer today, and the frogs will be relieved that there is more than a few inches of rain in their ponds now but that's enough please Sad

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:40

I would send her a link to Nigella and say you have heard good things about it. Then she can't say you are being awkward

Re church, i would say you are doing 2 that weekend so can't do it but would be happy to for their next event. And if they could give you as much notice as possible, that would be very helpful.

All in the tone. Smiling through gritted teeth and delivered with a flourish should do it Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 22:40

Oh, and as you can see, I am not a very nice person IRL Blush

GladioliBuckets · 06/09/2010 22:43

And if you really can't say no to the church, send them a voucher instead. Free delivery on a ten pound spend or something so they won't bother calling you again.
