Hey Dizzy just saw your news on FB, brilliant. You new life exhausts me just to read about it. Will you be able to give up the polis at all soon?

TwilightSurfer · 06/09/2010 12:28

HP (((hug))) I hope Thor kept YOU entertained.

Singapore ha ha but no, no drinking for me. I'm actually in a foul mood (ask DH) and drinking would be the WRONG thing for me. FYI alcohol magnifies whatever mood I'm in.Biscuit

Tweakers the whole time I was meditating I kept have images of you riding a bicycle.Hmm I have not a clue why.Confused

That craziness flowed over into my dreams. DD1 & DD2 were playing in a boat half sunk in the lake with fishing roads strewn around. Then there was a restaurant and my grandfather (he's been dead for 20+ years). I am guessing all the mind mischief was the result of the Orange Julius and popcorn before bed.Hmm

Off shortly to pilates and lunch with a friend. It's LABOR DAY here so no laboring.Hmm House is tip for the occasion.Grin

[grin[ at yours and dd1@s exercises. bless - v sweet image.

am loling at tweaky's sweepy!

QueenofDreams · 06/09/2010 13:50

Hello everyone.
tweaky fingers crossed for you that the sweep/walk will get things going for you.

We've been out and about for the first time in two weeks today. Yaaaaay!

Lady at bf group got upset as she's been having trouble feeding her dd. Her doctor kept prescribing abs for mastitis but they did nothing for her so last time we asked if she'd been checked for thrush at all. She's since asked her gp to check and he refused and told her to stop feeding as it was causing her distress. So she got a pharmacist to advise on treating thrush and did it without dr's diagnosis and hey presto! problem solved. THis morning the HV attached to the bf group had a go at her for going against medical advice Angry

ho hum need to do some cleaning but I seem to have sciatica and housework leaves me nearly crippled.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 17:02

Afternoon ladies :)

busy busy here but not achieving much Hmm

DD1 had her first swimming lesson in ages and loved it. Went to see a friend and her new DD today she made DD2 look huge!

Tweaky - hope sweeping was productive.

HP - hope DD had a great first day.

ALBS, GB, Crisp, Cyteen - helloooo

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 17:38

Tweaks, hope the vileda mop did the trick Grin

Busy day here. Pretty good other than DD1 having a meltdown at playgroup. I think she really missed having her 3 friends there (who have all gone to school this year) Sad. I think i might put her into preschool on a Mon morning if there is space and DD1 and i can enjoy playgroup together Smile

Off to pilates. See you later....

tweakers · 06/09/2010 17:44

sweep was good, 50% effaced, cervix forward and i was 2-3cm before she did it
walked home quite quickly and have had surges on and off since. DH just got home and told me off for not timing them..oops! i don't reckon they're that regular yet but who knows BlushGrin
had a visit from the lovely albs and two minialbs', brother and mum today. so DS been suitably entertained/worn out by them all!
DH sent out to kitchen to sort out dinner for us and my back's really aching now. As soon as he's back from the kitchen, i reckon a bath is in order
girls...not getting hopes up but i think this might just be the start of something magical SmileSmile
i haven't sent the text alert out to the early labour list yet though

TS sorry, Pea didn't get your memo about no labouring allowed today!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 17:47

YAY GO PEA GO - follow the light!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/09/2010 17:48

Tweaky - now is the time to get tweaking to prevent them from stopping in the bath!

QueenofDreams · 06/09/2010 17:49

Ooh go PEA. And go Tweakers!

tweakers · 06/09/2010 17:51

if she's following the light, does that mean i'm meant to have my trousers off already?!

thanks for tweaking reminder

i love that Pea's got cheer leaders already Grin

GladioliBuckets · 06/09/2010 17:53

ROFL at 'Follow the light'! Just like the grunnion running.

TS Did you ever watch a weird kids' show in the 90s called Pete & Pete on Nickelodeon? Have I asked you that before?

tweakers · 06/09/2010 17:53

grunnion running? eh?

GladioliBuckets · 06/09/2010 18:10

Baby turtles running to the sea, following the moon.

I had a thought (came from the following the light comments) can you put a headset down there and coax her out with pretty music?Hmm Sorry random thought said out loud. Feel free to ignore.

Buckets in the '90s I was in my '20s and therefore no where near Nick. If memory serves that's about the time MTV produced the FIRST REALITY TV SHOW, "REAL WORLD", which I did watch religiously. Wink Who are Pete & Pete?Grin

Almost got to go to a movie. Just before I bought my ticket DH called and said he had to go in to work.Hmm He's gone now but took DD1 with him and left DD2 with me since she was asleep. Maybe I can go later???

alittlebitshy · 06/09/2010 19:05

as tweakers says she may be starting:). when i was there she was clearly not a very comfy girl (not helped by my dd being rather, er, boisterous naughty) and said she had freaked her brother out already Grin.

dd all set for new school tomorrow. not starting til 10am (i guess they get the other 3 years in and settled before 60 newbies come pouring in). so 'cting.

TwilightSurfer · 06/09/2010 19:09

have i told you recently how much i love you all? Smile

surges are about 20mins apart

just had an interesting conversation with labour ward. DH and I didn't know when we were meant to be phoning them to get mw round so i phoned to ask. She laughed when i said they were 20mins apart at the moment, i explained i knew it was far too early to phone but that i was phoning to ask when we should phone!
she originally said 3-5 mins apart but then she found out it was baby number two and changed it to 10mins apart!
