Welcome to the latest thread for mums of babies born in March ( and a few in Feb and one in April!).

Come on in. Find out who'll be pg next and who's weaning onto what.

Sariska · 03/10/2010 00:26

Belated birthday wishes BMI!

I have a new nephew - who peed all over the doctors (and, presumably, my sister's insides - yuck) even before he was properly out). Am very excited!

BlueyDragon · 03/10/2010 08:22

Happy belated birthday BMI!

Tooblessed, what the others said - this is not the behaviour of a friend. Pleased you've sorted it out.

Congratulations AuntySariska! When are you off to Edinburgh to visit?

Come on Melk, name and not shame the cake fairy! I think it's Iwcas too. What a lovely thing to have done.

V jealous of shopping trips. No shopping here but I did get to go out with the nursery mums last night which was ace. Even if the major topic of conversation was the children we'd gone out to get away from!

WisePixie, how are you doing?

PD, sorry to hear about the grim night. Sending lots of sleep vibes for Joe.

Ugh, this rain is horrible, isn't it? Cold and dry is lovely but I don't like wet and the roads are flooding already here.

Dalrymps, your next baby will be Bruce? Is there one on the way?

scooby26 · 03/10/2010 10:25

Morning all

Congratulations auntie sariska!

fairyofcake · 03/10/2010 12:12

Glad cake raised a smile :) Melk

Lots more mummies would have received cake over the past few months, but for some reason they don't put their address in public forums Shock

However, if I could find a washing up fairy and an entertaining the baby on rainy days baby I would happily reveal mine!

fairyofcake · 03/10/2010 12:13

or even an entertaining the baby on rainy days fairy

See what happens when you try to be clever?

scooby26 · 03/10/2010 12:37

Morning fairy of a cake- aka iwcas. a very nice touch Wink

angfirsttimer · 03/10/2010 12:40

Lovely fairyofcake can you tell me how one might go about having a piece of cake delivered should I ever be thoughtful organized enough to do the same for one of my friends? Website?

sunshinesarahandco · 03/10/2010 12:51

Conrats on the new neice Sariska! awwwwww makes me so broodyGrin

hi toeveryone else, all good here, life is carrying on as normal, first week at work was ok- rather not be there but was ok- have been given a new area to work on so thats quite nice(for those who dont know i am a house keeper in the local hospital- evenings 6pm til 9pm, so works for the family,as no need for childcare!)

TooBlessedToBeStressed · 03/10/2010 13:38

sariska congratulations

angfirsttimer · 03/10/2010 14:01

Congratulations on your niece Sariska

tooblessed Angry at your 'friend'

dont know whether to be Envy or Grin that other baba's are crawling and my DS isnt, he is trying though, manages a suffle backwards as he tries to pull his knees up. has prompted me to plan a trip to the NCT nearly new sale to try to get a stairgate or two. siamese my Ds also likes to head for things he knows he cant have, he makes a very purposeful lung for cups of hot tea and the sky remote (I am expecting some unexpected programmes to have been recorded some time soon)

sarah glad work going ok for you, great that you can still have kids all day, but must be knackering!

BMI hope you had a lovely birthday

rebecca you seem really busy with the doula work, glad it has taken off for you. glad you finally booked the smear.

dizzi hope the interview went well

manda LOVE that dress, very glamourous.

dalrymps Grin at the typos, have the same problem when using the iphone. Been meaning to ask given your nipple pain (hope improving BTW), did you get your LO onto a bottle? I am now looking for reassurance from you if you did, cos despite my positive words on your thread earlier in the month. He has started to refuse it again - GAH!

angfirsttimer · 03/10/2010 14:03

Sorry not even on the iphone and make typo's

'shuffle' not suffle

and 'lunge' not lung

evitas · 03/10/2010 14:57

Happy Birthday / Muitos Parabéns BMI :)

TooBlesses I agree with what has been said, she's not your friend!

Manda Lovely dress

Pacific Hope your DS is sleeping better. We've been also having very disturbed nights, 4 tooth is confirmed, maybe others are on the way.

Pixie How are you?

Bluey glad you had a good time yesterday. It's amazing how we can go hours and hours talking about the little ones, even when we try to "escape" from them :)

Flip good news that you DS is starting to fall asleep himself. Fingers crossed!

One question. How much milk are your DC having. DS doesn't seem very interested in his bottle. We are on 3 meals a day... and he seems very happy to eat all the purees. He was about 180ml around 5/6am, maybe 60ml around 9am; I try to give him another 180ml around 4pm but I'm lucky if he gets 90ml and then around 60ml before bedtime. I don't think that's enough...
We have an appointment tomorrow to see the HV, and I'll ask her.
Enjoy your Sunday

x

evitas · 03/10/2010 15:01

Congratulations Sariska

scooby26 · 03/10/2010 15:56

Evitas- DS has around 200ml first thing in the morning, about 120ml about 2pm and about 210ml again before bed so about 530 total. He has porridge or cereal for breakfast, homemade stuff for lunch and rice with fruit at teatime.DS weighs spot on average for his age

PacificDogwood · 03/10/2010 16:15

Congratulaions, AuntieSariska Smile!

rebecca, well done for planning on having your smear done - please do go; cx smears are one of the things I have a bee in my bonnet about because the very early inflammatory changes on the surface of the cervix are SO easily treated and to not involve chemo/radiotherapy/surgery. And, unfortunately, cervcal cancer is one of the cancer that often occurs in young people, who leave young families behind and that just breaks my heart. Please go, for me - well, no, not for me, for you obviously Smile.

evitas, I think they should have about 1 pint = 600mls = 30 oz of milk per day. That includes yoghurt/custard/cheese etc though, so bottles are not the whole story. I used to put milk into purees etc as well.

ang, shall we start a "We are not sitting crawling yet" subgroup Wink?? It would be a very exclusive club and membership will become smaller very rapidly - I hope.

sunshinesarah, I am very glad to hear your first week at work was ok Smile. I am starting on Tuesday (I work Tues to Fri) and am almost beginning to look forward to it. If I could only reduce my hourse - I am so not looking forward to having to express, gah!

fairyofcake, you are a lovely lovely person.. eh, fairy, I mean Smile. It is when people do thinks like that, that I sincerely hope that the concept of Karma as true - what goes round, comes around Smile.

No shopping trips here, I am planning on loosing a stone before Christmans and then... All my boring work clothes will still do the trick and everything else is of the cotton/elastane/Jeans variety which is eminently washable and will be worn to death.

The Big News of the Day is that DS3 bit through the teat of his last remaining dummy Grin - so "Fulli" (not sure where that name for his dummy came from) is broken! He went for his nap clutching it; I am not sure whether he will use it. But I think the dummy era has come to a natural end (as long as he does not find the secret stack I have in the bathroom cabinet Wink). We'll see how it goes.

Right, hungry limpet to feed. Laters!

ValiumtheConqueror · 03/10/2010 19:41

yo, peeps, I is back in da hood.

Can you tell I'm jetlagged? Grin Anyhoo, I hopoe to get round to two weeks worth of catch up but, in all honesty, I'm hoping someone can summarise the thrills and spills of the last fortnight, along with any name-changers and newbies Pleeeeeeaaaasssssseeeee? I bought Peanut Buttercups Grin

Welcome back, Valium, sounds like you had a nice shopping break Grin.

Here? Same old, same old: babies growing up, some crawlers Shock, purees and fingerfood being flung eaten, some of us are back at work (me from Tuesday ), a lot some grumpiness due to chronic tiredness/psychotic toddlers/unsympathetic DHs/ Life /people became aunties/no new pregnancies here that anybody has admitted to yet/there is a thread cake fairy Wink - and yet we are all still carrying on Smile!

I am sure I missed lots, but other can complete/fill in the list.

Now, can I have some Peanut Buttercups, purreddy please Grin?

How annoying, IWCAS, I hate it when that happens....
