So the last thread could be used as proof that September 09 (and an August!) parents were kept far too busy by their babies to talk about them very often! Shall we see if we can get this one done before second birthdays (eek, 2 is so big) are upon us?

Grin chutes I did all mine there too. Going to 'gigs' at the community centre, drinking and stumbling home over the cobbles

LJ29 · 11/01/2011 19:54

Hi girls, on FB but due to concerns about security for work (very cryptic I know but I'll explain in person!) More than happy to message someone my e-mail though.

LJ29 · 11/01/2011 19:56

sorry that should have said
"due to security concerns with work I only add friends I know in real life/in person"!!!

ChutesTooNarrow · 11/01/2011 20:00

Cool, we can pm/e-mail you details of the meet.

I've said I would come too. Happy to travel where ever really.

LJ29 · 11/01/2011 20:20

chutes, I've sent you my e-mail.

ChutesTooNarrow · 11/01/2011 20:55

I was so excited when my inbox icon went red Grin

would it be worth making a new event with date of april 30th or later, then it'll stay open for longer? I'm meant to be away in early april for a conference, but should be around thereafter. shall we say end of april for now as a rough time to plan around, and see who can make it and when?

Oli was up all fricking night, so I am very zombie like at my desk today, and preparing to throttle my colleague, who keeps asking why I've done things in X way when he would do them in Y way, without letting me get a word in edgeways to say I have done them Y way, so do please sod off. Grr. He's been waffling on since 9.30 with fw breaks. and my stupid bastard mac has crashed this morning. Angry

lazyem, MB is blu I think. I know who all the fb folk are now :o

I put up a pic of oli with his FRINGE and moustache. He can walk downstairs forwards now, which is only slightly less terrifying than his previous method of descent which involved kneeling on the top step looking up, so backwards if that makes sense, then just letting go and sliding down on his tummy, feet first, squealing and cackling all the way. He's such a total loon. I will apologise in advance for him too :o

I so have to change my name to crapbarry now, don't I?!

BerryLellow · 12/01/2011 18:32

Yes crapbarry you do :o

I was wondering whether it would be good to set up a private group on FB so it would be much like here, except no one else could stumble upon it. Then we can put meet up photos etc on there and add to it if we don't all hate each other on sight and deide to meet up again? Wink Was that a bit rambly and not making sense?

ChutesTooNarrow · 12/01/2011 20:01

Oh! I meant to say earlier that I agree about a private fb group but then I got distracted.

NoCarpForMe · 12/01/2011 20:26

I'm creating one :)

Lazyem · 12/01/2011 20:39

Good plan, just off to find you all! Grin

BerryLellow · 12/01/2011 20:41

:o

Lazyem · 12/01/2011 21:12

I've a feeling this thread will become very quite now!! Grin

crapbarry · 13/01/2011 09:17

nah, it should still get regular updates, as my work colleagues aren't so aware of what mn looks like, but recognise when I'm pratting about on fb!

if anyone else wants to join our fb group, it's a closed group, so email me to see if I can add you - you don't need to be friends with us all to join it, I think.

ChutesTooNarrow · 13/01/2011 09:24

I will still post here lots as I use it as a kind of online diary. If someone asks me how old Gabe was when he cuts his first tooth I search on here to find out! I keep on meaning to gather together my posts and save them so I can look back fondly when Gabe is older and remember the torture of just how little sleep I got.

Also I need to tell you all that my sports bra turned up and despite lots of mumbo jumbo about shock absorbing I still can't jump up and down in it. So will still be doing star jumps clutching onto my bosom.

I was going to get Wii fit as I thought it would be a good way to chart my progress but had a heart attack at it being £90. Has anyone got it? Is it worth it?

OP posts:
BerryLellow · 13/01/2011 09:42

If it's not too weird to ask, what sort did you get Chutes? I have shock absorber ones (!) and they have been quite good. Best thing to do is order smaller sizr than you need so they get squished in and immobilised :o

I have Wii fit and never use it. It's a laugh but I can't imagine it being anymore than an extra. It's good for monitoring weight etc though.

ChutesTooNarrow · 13/01/2011 09:49

Shock Absorber Impact Level 3

It is very comfy and more supportive than my usual bras, I might keep it for everyday use and get a smaller one as well.

Morning!! Grin

True to my name change we overlaid this morning and was in a mad panic to get both kids fed and dressed and drive DD to nursery all within 50 minutes!! But for some reason I was there earlier than when we have ages to get ready! Confused Grin

Planning on taking J swimming while DD has her swimming lesson this afternoon. He's not been in the pool for months, so should be interesting!! Just need to find the swim nappies and inflatables...

Hope you are all having a good one! Grin

crapbarry · 13/01/2011 11:38

I'm going to try the shred tonight for the first time (eep!), and see how necessary a sports bra is - then go to our local bra shop and get one in the sale.

we're on flood alert in herts at the moment, hope everyone else is ok. thank god we won't get sharks and crocodiles in the river though, poor Brisbane. the worst we'd get from the stort is a nasty nip off a duck.

LJ29 · 13/01/2011 12:01

Chutes can you e-mail me the details of the FB group so I can join please? Quite excited about putting faces to nicknames!
