Is it too late to run for a coil Moose? Sorry to be so personal!

Got my labour pin pons out too Grin Am so jelous at speed you hav sorted that room Dog, has taken us since March! Shock

They said they will induce eggy lady at term, which is Friday. I think it's an age thing. But she is niggling so maybe......

My answer to all fashion is to wear converse shoes and a denim jacket. I'm stuck in the film The Breakfast Club.

just popping in to say have posted biscuits on blog. they are a bit of a trade secret as I may sell them in future so will probably hide the recipe when those that need it have it, but am sharing for thread love! If you get them right, they are absolutely awesome. Think you need big eggs. Need to do a wink to tree there for her awesome work with eggy lady!

sorry, will actually read the thread soon. We've just spent an hour arguing over the valuations. grr. all sooo different. Anyway.. DOG, get your man baking!

Aren't coils all hormonal these days? I am not allowed to have any sort of hormonal contraception due to the lesions they found on my brain scan. Was also told I risk my mega migraines coming back if I ever go for hormonal stuff.

Am most probably worrying about nothing and will be whingeing about pmt and cramps in a week or so.

We had an eighties movie dvd marathon on holiday, as we finally got around to watching all the dvds dh bought me during my pregnancy insomnia. We saw Pretty in Pink, Footloose, Flashdance and an Officer and a Gentleman - oh and I took the Princess Bride with us so we watched that as well. Twas quite nostalgic really.

120's blog

teaandcakeplease · 16/08/2010 22:49

Chewing ice? Ouch to the filling DOG Sad Are you nesting lovey? Isn't all this cleaning a sign of iminent labour Wink

I'm lurking and reading as usual. Went to a lovely wood today, went there yesterday too actually. Loads of wild raspberries and blackberries, a pond, dragon flies, tad poles and lovely tree's. I love that smell in woods with the ferns and things.. Mmmm yum! Kiddies love it too. Only discovered it on Sunday, when a friend told me about the place Blush I feel I'll be going there a whole lot more Wink

Tree - Exciting about eggy lady, confused about what pin pons are though.

Moose - my coil is a bog standard IUD and no hormones involved. I think the IUS is the one with hormones Confused If I googled I could be sure but I'm too tired and need to go to bed.

Books - should I ask mumsnet to delete the link to 120's blog? I have no idea about rights etc, not entirely sure what you're talking about, as you sound very savvy about all this. I just panicked when I read your post properely Shock I posted the link after a quick scan of the thread and seeing DOGs request. Oops

HKZ I'm super Envy of your hols in France, wish I could live there for a year Wink

I know there's more I've read but I need some Zzzzzz's. So hello to the rest of you lovely people and goodnight from the tea household x

treedelivery · 16/08/2010 22:54

Thanks tea - the secret is copied and pasted in my puter. Will make those asap Grin

Dog, hope it passes and you sleep. I remember the feelings soooooo well.

Moose, I forgot about that, sorry! I think they nearly all have pregesterone. Might be worth a google though - if it's a possiblity.
As you say though, it will probably not be anything.

AM off to bed. Railways Museum tomorrow, which entails hour each way on the train, and walk to the station etc etc. DD gets too car sick to drive that far if it can be avoided at all. Have made a few sarnies etc to try save money. It won't work, it never does. But at least I tried. Train £13 with family card too, so loving that card.

Must resist Betty's tea shop. Not easy!!! If dd lets us head into the city I might get a fat rascal to bring home at lease Grin
120 - that's a great cook book by the way, the Betty's one. Nom Nom. Their book 'tarts and fat rascals' is a good read too. They have a mirror downstairs that I have walked past 1000 tmes and never looked at. I read the book and it has loads of signatured etched into it, from the Canadian and local RAF boys before they flew missions from North Yorks in WWII. Apparently Betty's was where they went to smoke and drink and get laid Grin It's so atmospheric you can almost smell the smoke and hear the jazz. It makes me well up when I read all the names and wonder who came back and who didn't.

And on that happy note Hmm am off to bed. No news if the egg cracked, although a new chick hatched at my mums, and this egg is due on mum's birthday, so once agan the karma is certainly with us.

moosemama · 16/08/2010 23:32

Ooo Fat Rascals! Yum! Am so jealous now - I love Betty's, but have only been there twice myself.

I too am off to bed now. Dd is still up as her body clock went haywire on holiday. Hmm Fortunately she has been happy to go to sleep as soon as we put the lights out when we go to bed since we got back. Really must get her into a proper bedtime routine over the next couple of weeks, can't have her sleeping in until 9.45 am when we have the school run to do in a couple of weeks.

All three slept late this morning and I was up at 7.00 am, so I got two hours to myself first thing. It was lovely - even if I did use the time to do housework and washing.

hackneyzoo · 17/08/2010 10:08

Tree...I am stuck in the breakfast club era too, denim jackets and converse are fab.

Moose, I had a non hormonal bog standard copper coil. I didn't like it though, it made my periods super heavy and painful for about 7 months so I got it taken out. A friend has it and says its ace though.
I've just clocked a copy of pretty in pink in the house we are staying in....i feel an urge for a sofa evening.

Dog, am going to have a surprise flavour, I am happy either way so am not going to find out. This pregnancy is really different from the last two so have no clues as to what sex!
Hope your restless legs are feeling better, that feeling drives me mad. I get itchy hands, feet and the inside of my mouth too, it's horrible. Is the ice crunching a craving?
I think ours is a la bassine or birth pool in a box, it is medium size and just right. If you hold on to the one you'v got I can still send you mine aswell and get it to you by about 30th. Do you have an electric pump and all that sort of stuff?

Books, glad you had a good holiday. I am growing a bit attached to being on holiday....don't want to go home at all. Sorry I got DD and DS mixed up, pregnancy brain, seem unable to retain simple info at the moment!

Tea, the woods sounds lovely...I love the smell of pines and ferns and the dankness of woods too...mmm.

Tree, Betty's sounds fab, I love all the 40's nostalgia, such a poignant time. Am going to look up the cook book.

Tink. sorry to hear you are not feeling self confident and glad you can get some counselling. You always sound very collected in your posts and super organised when it comes to shopping! Enjoy your relaxing timewith your DDs.

Moose, know what you men about bedtime routine, DS is going ot bed at 10 pm and DD around 1030 at the moment, but then they are both siestaing and not getting up til nine. Going to be a nightmare trying to get them back to 7pm when we get back to reality.

DH having a lie in this mrning and DCs being taken care of by friends in the garden, so off to shower then for a wander round the lake in the sunshine.

Ooooo I'm excited already DOG Smile

treedelivery · 17/08/2010 23:04

There was a thread a while ago about clicky bumps DOG - they deffo happen.

Exciting! Hoping the egg hatches tonight also. Maybe you will deliver on the same night, that would be nice Smile

No Betty's Sad, I tell you - it was hell on a hot day at the museum today. Brutal.

Off to bed with a slight twitch and ringing in my ears. Haven't read, sorry Blush

DOG - Frugi Autumn range has a beige sleepsuit with bees on. It's lovely SmileGrin Sorry!

tinktellyaddict · 18/08/2010 09:21

dog - exciting Grin

hope all ladies have a good day today

taking the girls to town to get feet measured

moosemama · 18/08/2010 09:44

Morning

Dog, both my boys were clicky bumps. Midwife said its relatively common and there are two schools of thought about it. The first is that its the sign of a baby with a strong sucking reflex and the noise is made by them sucking amniotic fluid and the second that its the baby's joints clicking, much like our own do sometimes. In both cases they reckon the sound is king of amplified by the aqua. In a few cases babies have had a clicky hip when they were born and that's what the sound was - but those cases are very rare. Neither of my boys had clicky hips and both were scanned for it as I have hip problems myself. Ds1 had a major suck on him though and used to give himself 'love bites' all down his arm when he was tiny.

Tree, sorry you didn't get to Betty's but did you know you can buy online from them and have your favourite cakes delivered to your door? Grin Grin Grin

Tink, I bought the gauges online from Startrite and measure them myself these days - so much easier. Did the boys on Monday morning and have ordered them new school shoes and trainers without having to take a ticket and wait in a hot shoe shop with lots of other people's children running around screaming. Have only just ordered the gauge for dd, but shall be ordering hers online as well as soon as it arrives. (She hasn't had a pair of walkers yet as she has tiny feet, so is still in those little leather padders like Shoo-Shoos and Inch Blue etc at the moment.)

Well, I have woken up feeling very sick with cramps and itchy nips this morning - sorry about the tmi - but Shock! Shock! Shock! I have also thrown away my last three cups of coffee because they didn't taste right. Seriously hoping I have a mild virus now - viruses can give you itchy nips right? Hmm! All this doesn't really make sense, as I normally have relatively long cycles so I really shouldn't be pregnant, but I have that 'gut feeling' I got with all three of my little monsters darlings. Maybe my radar is just off track at the moment and it will all come to nothing. Have decided not to test until well past my normal time and was determined not to symptom spot as well, as I don't want to wind myself up, but this morning has been a bit difficult to ignore really. Hmm

Tesco shop due any minute now and the last thing I feel like is unpacking food. Haven't even fed the dc's yet as I can't stand even the thought of porridge.

teaandcakeplease · 18/08/2010 10:00

Moose Smile does sound rather like a mini Moose is incubating Grin

moosemama · 18/08/2010 10:10

No Tea what you mean is, it sounds like you have a mild virus and will be feeling better in a couple of days. Grin

Maybe its the menopause? Hmm

Must go and make the breakfast now, dc's are fading away. [bad mummy emoticon]
