That's great news moosey. A nice smiley start to a Monday. My two also skipped off happily.

I can't get started on my chores and work as some mysterious force is making me refresh Dogs thread every 10mins. Grr. Grin

stripeywoollenhat · 13/09/2010 11:35

well, quite, 120... i think i'm going to miss it all anyway, as dp will have to take her laptop to work shortly and mine blew up Angry gah. will try to catch up later, when she's home...

Hi 120. I have just finished my first batch of chores for the morning and have an excuse to sit down for ten minutes as all the floors are drying. Grin

I think I might know why I am a tad tired - my morning looked like this:

Breakfast for five - done
Packed lunch for two - done
Put away last night's washing up Blush - done
Washed and dried breakfast dishes - done
Chivvied ds1 along to get ready for school - done
Showered and dried hair - done
Walked ds1 to school and spoken with teacher re swimming cap - done
Made toast and drinks for the two remaining dcs - done
Checked to see if Dog had had her pup yet - done
Vacuumed and dusted the living room and hall - done
Sorted all of dd's toys, put away the ones she's grown out of and brought a few more of her brothers' cast offs downstairs - done
Put dog beds on for a boil wash, disinfected their plastic beds and put fresh bedding in - done
Unloaded tumble drier - done
Bathed, dried and given a dental to my old lady dog - done
Vacummed the rest of the ground floor - done
Mopped kitchen, bathroom, pantry/utility, toilet room, back porch - done
Cleaned dog gate and surrounding door frame.
Collapsed on the sofa desperate for a coffee but unable to reach the kettle without leaving footprints - done Grin

I daren't even think about the rest of my jobs for today - upstairs is like a bombsite. Hmm

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 13/09/2010 11:50

wow mm - what a busy bee Wink

dd2 luved her swimming lesson Grin
i can finally sit down now
glad ds went of happy and excited about swimming

when r others buying dcs boots

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 12:05

Moose - am exhausted. Please come do mine? You sound good Grin How lovely ds1 went off all excited. Good on him. It shows he is a happy little fella and he can cope if he gets what he needs to help. I really hope it's a success, that he feels it was as good as expected.

Rushed to check on DOG and the pup. SOunds like your aveerage multip trying to labour. Nearly.....nearly....nearly.......bam! Baby arrives. Bless you DOG, won't be too long now. ((((((hugs)))))))

We walked to school. Dd was 10 mins late, it took 50 mins. That was zooming too, she did well to keep it up all the way. She was on the miracle that is the balance bike, she hurtles along on it. She arrived in time to walk accross to wake and shake, and got to take the register. SHe was wel frazzled though and said she was a packed lunch. I hopw they feed her! She's hot dinners! SHe drank a full metal bottle of juice too.

School won't store your bike scooter etc. So was looking at balancing it all way home on pushchair, but a kind mum has goven it safe harbour at her house nearby. DD has an after school club till 4.30 [her 1st one!] so I think I'll leave 3.30 to be in good time.
Of course, with rushing and general hustle, she had wibblies about doing the after school club. I told her she would probably feel more like it when she gets into the school day, but if not to ask school to ring me. Her teacher was there too so hopefully heard the little wobble.

Am still aching from the walk! Hip aches and I have those sore shins you get with runing. It's only 4 miles! Blush I walk really fast though

No house work here today, bugger that! Dd2 has collapsed on my knee and I'm lying in bed with her. SHe cried most of way home. Pah.

120 · 13/09/2010 12:27

shall I post what I've done? Just interject checking dogs thread at 10 min intervals..

check emails and read work doc
turn down very low offer on flat
have shower
have massage
let in cleaner
eat a slice of cheese and ponder making some lunch

moose, do you really not have a dishwasher?

good walking tree! no house work here either, well not be me Grin.

moosemama · 13/09/2010 12:43

Tree, what a nightmare. From my perspective at the moment, about the only thing our school has going for it, is that its literally across the road from our house. Grin

You deserve to collapse after that marathon - 4 miles at that time in the morning! Shock

Good to hear dd1 was feeling well enough for school today. Hope she enjoys her after school club - what's she doing?

120, nope, we don't have a dishwasher - never have had and its a right pita having 5 people to feed and clean up after. I also have a ridiculous kitchen, which you can see straight through to from the street (which all the Mum's walk along on the way to and from school) so I am paranoid about keeping the surfaces clear. This means I spend about 50% of my life washing and drying up. Hmm

Gotta laugh though - everywhere looks lovely and tidy in the top half of the room that can be seen from the street, but lord only knows what they'd think if they could see the mess in the lower half. Grin

Other things we don't have are a food-processor, a microwave, a decent oven and enough room to swing a cat - or a cat either come to think of it. Grin

No fair! I want a cleaner!

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 12:47

Oooo cleaner EnvyGrin On day....

I have

Got up - good start. Got dressed - also good. Teeth - good. No shower - bad.
Got dd1 up, changed, hair and teeth
Got dd2 up, changed, nappy and teeth
Made readybrek, fed dd2 [1 spoon of readybrek].
Coats, shoes, bags, and loaded pushchair.
School run -2 hours!!
Emergency stop at bakers for shortbread to stop dd2 crying, and small pastry to stop mummy crying.
Got to postoffice, posted breastpump off.
Hung nappies out.
Brought dry nappies in, abandoned on changing table.
Brought dry washing in, folded and abandoned in basket.
Had quick ham sarnie and cuppa.
Took delivery of some party plates and napkins for dd1 party Grin
Made 2 appointments for chiro.
Spoke to another mum on phone who so nicely rang to see how dd1 is re:friendships.
Rang gp's to ask for lift hoem for dd2, no answer. Left message.
Gave dd2 teddy crisps after toast, readybrek, wrap, apple and juice refused. Angry
Noticed and ignored dust bunnies as big as your fist on the stairs.
Gave dd2 bottle.
Turned on laptop as dd went to sleep.
Rang work on offical business.
Emailed work re:official business. End of stress
Looked up possible bus routes to school - despair.
Cracked open green and black butterscotch.

If I thought dd2 was sleeping long term I'd try nap. Bot worth risk of just gettng dozy and warm and her bouncing awake.

Irish dancing Moose. I can't see her being fussed, but everyone does Irish dancing, and all forms of scrunchy wearing dance type stuff. So she wants to be the same. SHe may like it, good for posture and all that.

Our house same, you can see in our bay, through to back door. You can see me farting around in kitchen, and all the crap I chuck on top of the bookcase out of the way. I probably should get voile type curtans, but several older people give us a cheery wave and talk in through the open window to us. When the sash is open it's a huge open window. So I can't now, they'll think we don't like them GrinHmm
DD changing table is right next to window too, have had several Shock looks at the sight of dd on there. Hey ho.

lol books. glad you have a bit more brain space. By the way I started my list after the kids had gone so there was a little more to it, involving small sticky hands and sleeves.

I have the real chores to do now.. shopping at sainsbury's, sending off my ebay parcels (sending a massage kit to Australia!) and doing another 4 hours of work..

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 13:14

x-posts books.

Really reallt glad to hear you are lighter.

God when you write it down we do tonnes!! Th ewonder is how any house work at all happens. All these bitty bits that need doing.

Lovely to have time to potter along with a toddler. They take such joy in thngs. dd2 is convined that every garden and gate has a 'bow-wow' in it

Like the bike Smile. Very exciting getting bikes. I felt a very grown up mummy when I went to get d her peddling bike.
I really really want to get dd1 the next size balance bike. Its a £bomb though. Thing is, as much as her daddy wants her mountain biking with hm asap, she really hasn't much physical strength and struggles to peddle ad brake on a peddling bike. I can't see her hurtling about on her wooden one as any sort of problem, she zooms! The new larger bike is a whopping £160
BUT her wooden one was £130, when they had just been imported into UK 4 years ago. SHe has used it and used it and used it. Such a lot of value for money.
Not that i have £160 you uderstand. Nor close.

moosemama · 13/09/2010 13:49

Tree, I used to do scottish highland dancing at school - I loved it and everyone said that had given me lovely posture. Sadly this is no longer the case, as the weight of the world on me poor old shoulders has given me a lovely old woman stoop.

Books, great to hear you are feeling more positive. That bike is very similar to ds2's first bike. He requested flames on his. Grin

I think its a valuable exercise to write down everything you have done in a day occasionally. It reminds us why we are all so knackered all the time. I've just remembered a whole load of stuff I didn't put on my list - which also serves to remind me how much I do without even thinking about it.

Mightn't be a bad thing to leave our lists lying around where our dh/dps can see them as well iykwim! Wink

Dh took dd for a walk with her in her backpack with a handle thingy to the village shop yesterday. It usually takes less than ten minutes there and back - he was gone for almost an hour! She was sooo proud of herself when they got back though. Grin

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 13:57

DD is up. Glad I didn't snooze. She has just manhandled some G&B choc out of my mouth. Mmmmmmm she said. SHe has chocolate drool.

DD birthday pressi just arrived. Yipeee. She also saw a play doh dog thing in Sainsbo. SHe was aching for it bless her. You know when they just really really want something. Much worries about it selling out, and me forgetting, and beign too busy, or being too poor. She offered to go home and get her penny ball piggy bank to buy it - I managed to reassure her that all would be well. It's £15. Guess I better order it!
Also ordered 2 boys and 2 girls pressis for the parties ahead of us [hopefully] I love a bargain.

Oh arse, chocolate drool on mi white company duvet cover. Arse.

GD is pcking dd1 up this afternoon! SO instead of leaving in about an hour for a 4.30 pick up, I can laze about and await a 4.40 drop off! Happy days. really aught to do some house work in that case. Can't shower though. Which is what I really really want.

I'm off to empty the dishwasher and have a hoover. No one try and stop me!

hello Dog!

tree - am I missing something - why can't you shower?

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 14:26

DD2 would climb to walls/go insane. SHe is a little like that, although will merrily sit and watch tv on her own. If she can't find you though, she goes insane. Funny little woman.

120 · 13/09/2010 14:28

I take H in with me. He washes my legs and plays with cups in the bottom. He loves showering himself down at the end too! Have you ever given it a go?

teaandcakeplease · 13/09/2010 15:07

DS comes in the shower with me too in the morning. He loves it.

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 15:45

Hmmm. H bomb in the shower. Hmmm.

Grin

SHe does enjoy the shower, but she tries to stand up and run about and it usually ends in bruises and tears. Rebel.

t's cool though, I don't mind. What I do mnd is how sleepy I am. Really tired. 2 hours before dh gets home, 45 mins till dd gets home.

What shall I cook for dinner for them not to eat? Dd2 has had a 4 spoons of yogurt today. Oh and the teddy crisps [half a small bag] 3 oz of milk. That's it! Crazy.

teaandcakeplease · 13/09/2010 16:22

Buy a non slip mat? They're very ugly but you can just hide it unless in use?

Macaroni cheese?

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 16:33

Tea is butternut squash rice [from a packet but they do really like it] with chredded chicken in it. Can't be fussed! DD1 will be home in next 10 mins which is lovely, looking forward to hearing how dancng went.

We had a mat - I have no idea where it went too. Do you all not get really harassed with wet hair and a naked toddler running off? I think I have a low harassed teloerance level HmmGrin

DH has organsed a car share for the next 2 days. Why can't the guy do this everyday? We'd save £100 in fuel [shcok]

OOO dd is home Grin

teaandcakeplease · 13/09/2010 16:37

Well he stays in there whilst I dry myself and then I get him out, throw just a nappy on him and he does his thing, whilst I get dressed. I don't wear make up (can't be bothered) and leave my hair wet everyday, so minimal effort required on my part to beautify myself anyway. I suspect depending on each persons regime, depends on how complicated showering and dressing can be Hmm I don't even put on moisturiser half the time. I only use water on my face Shock

Your tea sounds lush, can I come too?

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 16:55

Sure! Will set a place for you.

It is the miracle of those sachets of ready cooked rice. Steamed brown basmati with butternut squash. It rocks, it's one of the Tilda ones. I just had a look at the packet - no strange ingredients I don't recognise. Although salt is rather high, at 0.4g for 1/4 packet [dd1 on a good day]. But her salt intake is excellent, bread being the worst culprt. So I let myself off Grin

Parmesan style cheese though. Wonder what that means?
