AM glad he's doing better today. It must be such an emotional time for your whole family, am not surprised your DB feels tearful. Lots of love being sent thier way

moosemama · 31/08/2010 13:20

Hi HKZ, glad you had a good scan. Our hospital had new scanners when I went with dd and I was amazed at the amount of detail we could see. They put it up on a big screen at the end of the bed as well, so no more craning your neck to see.

Tea ((more hugs)). Its good news that his breathing has improved. It must be so hard on your brother. I think people always expect the 'man' to be strong in these sorts of situations and sometimes their feelings get overlooked. He's lucky to have you to share his feelings with. Am sending lots of love and light to you all.

120 · 31/08/2010 15:15

afternoon all. HZ glad scan went well, look forward to seeing pics. Good to see you all yesterday. DD asked why your DD didn't have her father with her. She is very into DP at the moment. They do lots of role play where she is the ugly duckling and he comes to find her, or she is sleeping beauty etc. Am staying well clear of all of that as she already wants to marry me.

Tea, sorry to hear about your Nephew but BIG congrats on becoming an Auntie. It is such a lovely role.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 31/08/2010 15:54

teaandcakeplease · 31/08/2010 17:44

Well I'm an Auntie again in this case as I have 6 nieces and 5 nephews now. I have 4 brothers and apart from my twin they're all older and of course are married with children only my poor brother Mike and his wife are still trying. Last IVF miscarried Sad So hard for Mike with all 4 of his siblings now having kids Sad Sad Sad

I know my posts are a tad selfish right now. Sorry Blush

moosemama · 31/08/2010 18:58

Tea, don't worry about it we all need to offload sometimes.

on another note Houston .. we have AF! PHEW! Well actually bleurgh - but have never been more grateful for it. Grin

No Tree today? Hope everything is ok.

hackneyzoo · 31/08/2010 19:31

Tea on a different note, there are some waterproofs for sale on the for sale board.,,here

treedelivery · 31/08/2010 20:08

Hi all.

Sorry I haven't been around - there just hasn't been a time when I felt I could. Then there was today and the internet just broke. I think AOL had a problemo Confused

Am glad for you Mooose, yay! It was all a virus then! Thank you for your concern you diamond you.

Tea - so sorry to hear of the early arrival, but congratulations to them. Generally 32 week babies need about 2 weeks of a bit of help, then they turn the corner and they are off!! Eating machines piling on weight. Probably had no steroids becasue of the speed of everything, so it's fair to assume a few ups and downs with the oxygen. The jaundice is very typical too.
All will be well, they just need to be warm and fed and helped over the odd hurdle and they fly!

HKZ- great news!! Woo Hoo!

120 - dd1 wants to marry me too. Cute isn't it? Any news on the flat front?

I sat and ironed stretchy labels onto 4 pairs of tights, and 10 pars of socks for school last night. We always have too much of everything Hmm SHe has managed to come home in someone else's top, and someone eles socks, so thought better label them as it's as hard to find socks for her skinny feet as it is shoes.

The girls are long and complicated. I won't drone on, but watching dd2 as her colour isn't great, even tending towards jaundce.
DD1 poo troubles are so complicated and concerning I have met myself coming back. I invited a gentle lovely boy she loves from school over for a play and for tea - I think it cheered her up. SHe was asleep for 7. CAn't believe she is 6 in 6 weeks.

moosemama · 31/08/2010 20:26

Our network was down as well today for a while Tree. We had 3 powercuts in succession over a couple of hours. Typically every time I switched the laptop on. Hmm I hate it when I manage to squeeze a few minutes online into a busy day only to find there's no flipping network.

Just checked and have received your mail, so will nip off and read it in a mo.

Ds1 still wants to marry me - not sure how normal that is for an 8 year old boy though. Confused

treedelivery · 31/08/2010 20:34

Oh Moose. It's real long. Real long.

Now 2 things. Look at this dress Dirstly, I want it and it's a bargain. Secondly, isn't that the eldest of DOG's pups?

DD1 wants to marry me, work in the postoffice near our house so she can come home for dinner, and keeps going into the bathroom to pretend to give birth. I tell ya. You couln't analyse that.

Lenni · 31/08/2010 20:50

Tree - would you post your post here? I've got loads of account to do and would appreciate some reading.

DD wants to work in a tent shop, and she wants to get married, but only if I come with her to the craft shop to buy sugared almonds. I don't think she has a preference for who she marries yet though. Hmm

Have decided rather foolhardily (is that a word?!) to start applying for full time jobs. Have had no luck getting anything part time and have been looking a while now - since Easter at least if not longer. All the good jobs round here seem to be full time. I think I'm just going to have to go back properly and give up my fantasies of working a few days and coming home to domestic bliss. The reality is I work at least 3 days a week as it is for DH or the university so an extra 2 wouldn't hurt would it??!! I know it will, but someone tell me it's okay really.

Lenni · 31/08/2010 20:51

accounts even

Lenni · 31/08/2010 20:53

Yay for AF Moose. (The first time I typed that it came out as Yay fir AF Niise - I need sugar/caffeine/alcohol/sleep)

tree - how do you find such a vast selection of online stores stocked full of utterly gorgeous stuff? It is a knack you should sell or something.

Lenni · 31/08/2010 20:55

And congratulations on the scan HKZ, glad all okay. Halfway already, madness. And Dog is about to sprog. If it weren't for the PACT I'd be broody.

Dog, I did get the PP, I ave te tracking no. for te pool so let know if it doesn't get there by tomorrow.
I like Joss for a boy (have a lovely friend called Joss) but not keen on Lucca, just think it sounds a bit out of context if you aren't Italian...but I have bizarre taste in names, so prob best to disregard my opinions! Finding names is impossible...

Exciting about job hunting Lenni, its sooo hard finding part time stuff here too. Could you go FT at the uni or is it on an as and when basis?

Tree hope DD2 is ok. Poor DD1 and her bowels.

For all you shopaholics...I was in TK Maxx earlier and they had a ton of last seasons Frugi girls stuff...I did not purchase a thing as am on a huge thrift drive and was looking for maternity bras (didn't find any) but they were cheapish too.

Moose, I missed that earlier, but as dog put it sorry/yay for A~F. Hope you are curled up on the sofa with some Green and Blacks.

moosemama · 31/08/2010 21:38

Tree, don't know if you've read my reply yet, but I mentioned an alternative to pessaries for constipation/impaction in children that I'd read about on the sn board recently.

Just searched for them again and they are micralax micro enemas which come in a 5ml tube with a tiny nozzle and have almost instant results apparently.

Info from netdoctor here

this is the express chemist link but apparently the sell them in Boots and all other major chemists.

teaandcakeplease · 31/08/2010 21:39

Gah! Nephew hasn't pooed yet and has a poor blood sugar level Sad

I'm going in tomorrow to see SIL at about 2pm and hopefully peep at baby in scbu Sad

Lenni · 31/08/2010 21:41

Also don't like Lucca, but mainly since it doesn't really go with A and I, all a bit to many Ls and As in there imho. Joss on the other hand is lovely.

Childcare - hmmm, difficult one. DS is sorted, he could just pick up more days at nursery. DD is a whole different matter though. Doesn't start school until next September but is really too old to do nursery. She's nearly 4, like a great giant next to her friends and really shouldn't have to do another whole year of preschool but hey ho. I should've had her 3 months earlier!

Come on Dog, I want newborn pictures you hear me!! Grin Maybe tomorrow would be good timing with the pool??

teaandcakeplease · 31/08/2010 21:41

They haven't chosen a name yet, as he was such a surpise, he was always called little lee when in his mummies tummy Sad So it has continued. Bless him.

Lenni · 31/08/2010 21:42

Sorry x-posted, Tea/Moose. Back in a bit.

treedelivery · 31/08/2010 21:45

Oooo hkz what did they have? Roughly? Our TKmax is utter pants.

Joss is a lovely lovely name. Smile

I couldn't possibly post the story of Friday, it is about 2 sides of A4 Blush

I think you should go full time Lenni, if it is too much you have more chance of reducing your hours or developing a job share Smile

I got AF too, maybe you were waiting for me Moose? Grin

H has snot issues and woke herself up. In my arms now. Bless.

hackneyzoo · 31/08/2010 21:50

Dog, what about Louie? I like it but DH has vetoed.

Childcare is a PITA Lenni...how about a place at a different nursery? Am only suggesting this as DD has just got her free 2.5 days at a different nursery to the one she goes to whic is attached to the Primary School se might end up at, she too was becoming a bit bored with reg. nursery so at least this will make it a bit more interesting again.

Tea will be good to see SIL and DN. Saw pic on FB and he looks very sweet. Fingers crossed for poo. I guess he's just taking his time adjusting to being in the world.

Got to get up at crack of dawn tomorrow so am off to bed. Night all
