Hello ladies. This last week has been AWFUL as DS has had cabin fever due to being trapped inside because of constant rain. M has also been a grumpy madam so I have been shouty mummy. Blush Oh well, nearly over! M said "I love you mummy" for the first time this week. Obviously means nothing to her at this age, but still lovely to hear.

Envy about "shapes". I'm no shape at all just a body with fat sticking out wherever it wants to on any given day. I've never met pistachio but she looks amazing in her photos on fb. And myjob... ummmm, no, you do not have a big flabby bum and thighs... I've met you in person and can definitely confirm that this is all in myjob's own perception of herself. People see themselves differently than they are, I think. You're really little, myjob.

Awwww how sweet of M, 50ft :)

Q's language is getting much, much clearer but he's not putting together full sentences still. He prefers one or two words at a time :)

I got stung by a bee today. And right afterward the whole area of skin around it rose up a bit... and I had a headache and felt really, really tired. My mom was allergic to bees (you call them wasps, I know) so I think I just panic about it. I worry about Q getting stung... anyway, it STILL stings!! I was squatting to take a pic of Q smelling the flowers at hampton court and I must have squashed the bee between my thigh and my stomach as I bent down low. Confused but I don't think he left the stinger because he flew away and I reacted quickly (and I can't see a stinger). I don't like living things to die, but I know that bees die after stinging (honeybees like this one) but I think this little b***stard got away with it since he didn't lose his stinger! Angry and it still stings. And dh won't give sympathy!

Thanks pistachio Grin
Yes I believe that is right about bees/wasps. But in the UK everyone seems to call the innocent honeybees "wasps" as well. We were eating outside a few days ago and people were going on and ON about the "wasps" when they were indeed, bees. Wasps do not die when they sting, but bees do.

I put any pic on fb because I don't have a lot of pics of myself. Blush

with all 3 dc! And dh. Tis an ex mners 40th. J screamed the whole hour in the car getting here, so not looking forward to the journey back in a bit!

StarExpat · 28/08/2010 21:28

Ex mner sounds funny for some reason. Lol

I wasn't planning on a party with bags ...etc for Q as he doesn't have a lot of friends Blush I wonder if we should do something? We were just going to do a fun family day out with a couple of gifts to unwrap and pizza (because he loves it). Hmmmm now wondering if I should do something... We can't host much in our tiny place...

StarExpat · 28/08/2010 21:31

I love the word "Tis". It is used so much here and sounds so Dickens. Lovely historic feel :)

Evening ladies. I've been away with S for a couple of days at my parents' place. Lovely. They were brilliant about entertaining him and giving me a break and I feel revitalised.

I've been wondering what to do for S's birthday, too. We've got friends that we see all the time with similar age children so we'll probably just do something low-key with them, I think.

Lol at myjob and Star's body-shape description. I don't believe a word of it. Myjob I've seen your photos and Star I've met you. There were no lumps and bumps to be seen!

I wish dh would let me go away with Q for a few days... He gets upset if I go out for 1:1 time with Q if I'm back at nap or bedtime as then he's missed out on all morning or afternoon... I wouldn't mind if he and Q were out and came back right at naptime... I'd see Q when he got up!!! Arghhhhh anyway.... Rambling.

:) myjob that's lovely! Sorry about the cold :(

Q was bitten by a duck a few days ago and now he won't stop talking about it. Whenever a duck is seen, mentioned, heard... "bite! Me bite! Duck bite! Hurt!" that and the monkey who peed on the glass while we were watching them... He'll make a monkey sound the say "pee pee" pointing to his nappy... That should help potty training...Hmm

Hello. I am here but havent really got anything to say as all I have done is sort uniform spend £100 on school shoes and shout alot.

DD2 wont eat anything white. She is determined to be difficultSmile
I offer dinner it gets eaten or it goes in the bin. They only get two chances and it goes. I dont offer pudding as a rule and then it is usually fruit.

The dietitian I saw with W said very clearly that children need a lot more fat than fruit & veg. So I now dont feel guilty about cake, biscuits, chocolate etc. I follow the a little bit of everything is a good thing.
Obviously for me a little bit of chocolate is not enoughGrin
