child tax credit question

Can anyone help?

My 2 and 3/4 year old daughter attends a nursery 3 days a week. I was under the impression (from other mums as well as from nursery bursar) that when my daughter turns 3 the government covers the cost of ~15 hrs/week nursery time, regardless of my income. (This is in addition to the childcare vouchers which both my husband and I use to get ~£240 a month per person tax free.)

Will this scheme be axed under the emergency budget and does anyone know what this scheme is called? Thanks.

It's the free nursery places scheme IIRC and there's no mention of it being axed. I'd imagine the detail of any such proposal would come when cuts in the education budget are finalised, but I've not heard it mentioned. HTH.
