They really are a bunch of berks aren't they. They don't seem to be responding at all to what anyone's saying, but only to how they are saying it.

Is this really how it is now?

Ed Balls looks good, determined, decisive and has lots of experience. I also think that he believes in what he says, don't believe the others.

onebatmother · 18/05/2010 10:23

Interesting - on the Tory's Big Tent politics and how it worked for Blair.

onebatmother · 18/05/2010 10:24

TorIES'

Eleison · 18/05/2010 10:25

Tory's would be a smaller tent.

onebatmother · 18/05/2010 11:13

True. Or a big but empty tent.

LOL - have you ever seen Steve Bell in action Proles? I saw something somewhere sometime over the last 10 days which was about him drawing his fish in a condom Cameron cartoon. He seems sort of adorable .

Ah you knew what I meant. It's here - I love the laugh. And 'some Big Society guff.'

onebatmother · 18/05/2010 11:50

And "Grimsby's perfect for Cameron because it's all about fish". Whaaa?

Were the leadership candidates on Newsnight last night? Went to bed early. My mission for yesterday was to tire DS out completely, but of course it backfired.

Wish I did not miss your discussion on poverty last night. Although remembering classes about Marxism made me feel very old indeed.

Eleison · 18/05/2010 12:39

Good news I think about the longer-timescale leadership election?

gingercat12 · 18/05/2010 13:01

Eleison It is great, but who will run? I mean apart from the Eds and David? I have just read the Guardian article from Jon Cruddas. Wish he was standing.

gingercat12 · 18/05/2010 14:41

LeninGrad Interest rates will rise, otherwise the banks would be out of pocket. No chance for that.
