Conservatives and Lib Dems are in.

He's doing very well so far.

Yay! It's official. Change is good.

usualsuspect · 11/05/2010 20:49
Sad
belledechocolatefluffybunny · 11/05/2010 20:50

Well done!! Change is great, it'll be a hard slog but it'll be worth it.

HerHonesty · 11/05/2010 20:50

please remember to switch the lights out. all hope on building a fair and tolerant society is dead.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 11/05/2010 20:50

He better not let me down.

HinnyPet · 11/05/2010 20:50

ha ha!

Emster30 · 11/05/2010 20:50

Well, I don't like the man much, but I'll give him a chance.

TheFoosa · 11/05/2010 20:50

gah

Nointhemood · 11/05/2010 20:51

Are people chanting gordon and booing him or am imagining it

Duritzfan · 11/05/2010 21:08

I think its good... I am hoping it will be the start of a new dawn in politics - politicians actually learning to work together can only be a good thing ...

Thank god its settled anyhow ..

Doobydoo · 11/05/2010 21:09

Very

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/05/2010 21:21

I have high hopes. It is going to be a tough few years but I hope the country will be better for it.

GreenFingerstone · 11/05/2010 21:26

After 13 years, its about time we gave someone else a chance. Its a shame people can't get over what has happened in the past. 13 years is a long time and unlucky for some - Mr Brown for one. A coalition could be interesting - the Lib Dems must think all their dreams have come true - afterall, there was no other way that they would be in and around No. 10!

bobthebuddha · 11/05/2010 21:31

well if he defies the very lowest expectations of him (and they are pretty low) then he'll be doing alright. I thought all the booing at the gates pretty stage-managed and graceless but there you go.

Cartoose · 11/05/2010 23:20

Yes, give him a chance. The booing was horrible. His speech was kind and complimentary toward GB too.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 11/05/2010 23:29

"He's doing very well so far."

Yes, great chap. Pat on the back, doing well so far.

Dumbledorina · 11/05/2010 23:43

Give the guy a chance; hopefully the Lib Dems will take the edge of any lurking Thatcherite policies that may be hiding in their manifesto - that said I give this coalition a max of 2 years before we'll have another general election, as I think the fundamental diffs between Libs and Tories will be too great.

tweetymum · 11/05/2010 23:44

I think I heard a 'Tory scum' in the general reception too... whatever, all I can say is I am glad we've moved out of the UK. No more place for immigrants (even highly qualified ones).

Fruitysunshine · 11/05/2010 23:46

Yayy! A new dawn..

womblingalong · 11/05/2010 23:48

A really dark, foreboding dawn.
