Aaaaaah, that was nice....

jackstarbright · 11/05/2010 19:23

Oh - missed most of it - but no doubt it'll repeated once or twice

Milliways · 11/05/2010 19:23

Bye Bye Gordon!

posieparker · 11/05/2010 19:25

Ah I shed a tear, the boys were very cute and I thought how hard it must be for Sarah to watch the man she loves say goodbye to the job he adored.

whiffleisCleggxhausted · 11/05/2010 19:25

bye gordon. actually a bit choked there despite my political leanings...

HerHonesty · 11/05/2010 19:25

sad, what adorable boys. just realised this is the first time i've seen them in the election period. really felt for sarah. good speech.

LynetteScavo · 11/05/2010 19:26

He's here...I have to go now.

longfingernailspaintedblue · 11/05/2010 19:26

Finally!

brogan2 · 11/05/2010 19:26

I think he's a good man, regardless whether you agree with his politics. Strong convictions and a real desire to eradicate poverty.

queribus · 11/05/2010 19:27

If he'd have spoken like that during the election he'd have won by a landslide!! Very dignified. Not normally a fan, but he came across very well indeed.

Bye, GB!

noddyholder · 11/05/2010 19:28

He did have to go but I think he is essentially a good person Maybe not charismatic enough in an age when Big Brother and the X factor are considered interesting but definitely for families and children. Those boys are adorable and sara looked great have a holiday!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/05/2010 19:28

Thank goodness he's done it.

whiffleisCleggxhausted · 11/05/2010 19:29

BenHer · 11/05/2010 19:30

Went with dignity in the end.Bless him!

Cyclops · 11/05/2010 19:32

He almost looked a bit relieved, guess it must be a bitter sweet moment.

Skimummy · 11/05/2010 19:33

Sad but inevitable. Very good speech and I imagine he is quite relieved that the last couple of days are finally over! I think he really was a pair of 'safe hands'. Over to David Cameron I guess.

Salbysea · 11/05/2010 19:35

so sad

Sarah looks absolutely lovely in that dress

Now cameron is coming to screw us all over!

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 19:37

I realised that it's the first time that I've seen those kids ... they got to be kids rather than political tools.

noddyholder · 11/05/2010 19:39

Agree justabout Blair couldn't wait to trot his out!

ElenorRigby · 11/05/2010 19:39

GREAT! Sod off Gordo, B'Lair(et el), Mandelslime, A (wanker)Campbell and the rest of NuLieBa project. Trot on

CaveMum · 11/05/2010 19:39

Am I being unreasonable to be shocked at the people chanting "Tory scum" while William Hague spoke just now?!

These kinds of people do their own political parties no favours at all as they just come across as a bunch of idiots.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 11/05/2010 19:40

Spoke real feeling, and genuine honesty. I suspect he is the last of the true PMs, no hint of celebrity chasing media friendly or media savvy PM we will now have.
Gorgeous boys.
