GB looked naturally happy when he held his sons hand. Must be a big relief its all over

curlyredhead · 11/05/2010 19:38

Aaargh, stuck settling toddlers who would not go to sleep, missed GB's speech.

As much as I think this is probably the least worst outcome, given the election results, my main feeling is 'oh shit'.... Shit shit shit, in fact.

Aw don't boil your head Paris, it's too lovely

MarionCole · 11/05/2010 19:38

Indeed Len.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 19:39

13 years ago watched that motorcade with Blair in come from the Palace to Downing St. All those flags waving and all that hope. I was 19.

No have watched the motorcade at the end of 13 years of labour.

Very upsetting.

Lovely idea Lenin - I hope they are off to get pissed, relax and enjoy each other whilst the others sweat in out in The Talks. Hah!

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 19:40

Is it too much to hope that those two lads tear up and down the Buck Palace corridors shrieking and then slide down the bannisters, all while sarah and Gordon go 'shhhhhhhh' all in a tizz

MarionCole · 11/05/2010 19:41

God bless you Gordon.

x

policywonk · 11/05/2010 19:41

If you think this is bad, wait until you have to watch Lord Snooty and his pals walk in to No 10

floods, terrorism, disease ... and the four horses of the apocalypse

InmyheadIminParis · 11/05/2010 19:42

Mme Lindt - no need to drink alone. I'm opening one too... with a large whisky chaser

hungysavingexpertdotcom · 11/05/2010 19:42

So - did he time the speech so that BBC 6 o clock news wouldn't get it?
Looks like Libs have agreed the £6billion cuts immediately, and they'll get the £10k tax cut too - how the hell are they going to afford that?

wubblybubbly · 11/05/2010 19:42

I wonder if the country has watched that speech and given a collective groan. They bought all that shite from Murdoch and have just replaced a principled, dignified statesman with a ham faced cillit bang salesman.

What a fucking liberty.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 19:43

Did someone say that they had posted a link to that 'Gordon you are great' thread to Sarah's twitter earlier.

Oh not that I think we areall important or owt. I would just really like them to see that there is a significant swathe of people in this country taht actually realises what a good PM he was, and it's not all what those dickhead RW tabloids think.

scoutliam · 11/05/2010 19:43

Oh Jesus I cannot watch that man walk in, I just cannot.

It will not be for long, I've got to believe that.

Now, how are we going to make sure that it's for as short a time as possible?

That was quick. Lizzie wanted the boys out of the house before they smudged the furniture?

leavingonajetplane · 11/05/2010 19:44

Its actually a great strategy bringing the kids, in case the Queen wanted to detain one for tea (Sorry Liz, its bedtime)

DavidHameron · 11/05/2010 19:46

Haven't caught up but master stroke by Dark Lords Campbell and Mandelson, no?

Here's the w . i . l . f. analysis:

stick the knife into the Tories the final time by resigning before the Tory/Lib deal signed, panicking the troops and encouraging the Tories to think they can form a minority govt, or forcing the LibDems into caving in on their PR demands in return for some power. In fighting and small minority for Tories, so Libs more likely to vote with the opposition in scenario 1. Or alternatively mass numbers of left Liberals defect or withdraw support in scenario 2

Either way, Labour Party is in a stronger position.

Genius. IMHO.

Will still stick in craw to see Fucking Hameron crowing and gloating about their Fucking Glorious (arf) victory though... I await the knives of Doom as soon as possible.

Beachcomber · 11/05/2010 19:46

PMSL wubblybubbly at cillit bang salesman.

Those who voted them out deserve Hameron.

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 19:46

We are amazed how little security he has. The guy next to him at the traffic lights had a good look.
