"Wish there was some sort of massive national klaxxon that would just sound when something gets decided"
is a genius idea - I'd vote for that. It would mean I could actually get on with things rather than checking MN/bbc/ online blogs all the time to see what is happening...
The question, is, would it be a different sound depending on who the lib dems go for??

Hi folks

Groundhog day or what

I think I want them all to go away now and form a Mumsnet (leftwing threadies) government. Shall we just have a revolution?

AppleTreeWick · 11/05/2010 13:31

If the choice is Tory implosion or lab or lib implosion (which it seems to be) then I know which one I feel is less detrimental to the long term stability and sanity of the Union of these great Nations of ours. Hoists flag(s) salutes.

But more importantly Toast will you stand shoulder to shoulder with me on sherry as staple? I feel ready to argue for the same rights our German comrades (respect MmeL) have fought and died to achieve re Beer?

PS Did you notice my overtures to Plaid and the SNP there eh? You want subtle nuance Len? I'm your Apple.

Tempted to agree Lenin. I would also add that we should have another election immediately once PR in place.

MarionCole · 11/05/2010 13:34

Surely cider as a staple?

CatIsSleepy · 11/05/2010 13:35

yy TYV, I've not seen any r-winger just say 'You know what, PR will put paid to our chances of ever formimg a majority gvt again, therefore it's off the table'. Why can't they just be straight about it?'

haha nice thought PW but as if they would admit that in a million years!

am not liking the fact that all of getorf's scenarios have tories romping home

this is a little bubble isn't it? i keep getting tired of speculation, then right back into it again. Trouble is I know when the speculation's over, the reality will probably be something I am not too keen on ie some kind of tory gov. Vacillate away, Cleggy!

and yes please to great big klaxon

thetoriesaretoast · 11/05/2010 13:36

Blimey, yes, Apple. Would a dry fino do or is that unpatriotic? Will stick with Harvey's Bristol Cream if it's in the national interest.

AppleTreeWick · 11/05/2010 13:36

MmeLindt you are being quoted and patronised on the why the markets are important thread. I thought you might want to know. I must hide that thread now as it is making my blood pressure rise and I will say things I will regret.

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 13:40

Yes please to klaxxon. It will have to be loud though, if I am to hear it in Switzerland. Or we could ask the Swiss to sound the nuclear klaxxon.

Might cause slight panic in Switzerland though, since there is not a trial run scheduled.

I think that the drink of choice has to be beer. Or babycham.

AppleTreeWick · 11/05/2010 13:41

You see how versatile it is? Sweet/dry, expensive/QC, apperatif/digestive. It's like the potato of booze.

We need a spell check round here. I'm killing any lurking pedants.

hahaha watching streaming News24 at work and Prescott brilliantly combative, including telling a shouting protester to shut up for a bit

CatIsSleepy · 11/05/2010 13:44

I wonder if less people would vote LD under PR, as there'd be no need for tactical voting

or would more people vote LD?
hmm

He's so funny: making jokes about whether they've switched the mic off

LadyBlaBlah · 11/05/2010 13:46

I may be a single voice - but I bloody love John Prescott

DavidHameron · 11/05/2010 13:47

Right. I've gotta go do my own negotiating of a testy coalition at work, actually: any good negotiating tips for me?

I will need to shut up the naysayers and pretend to others that all is well and harmonious, while simultaneously making sure no carve-ups of power are sneaked in by other side: oooh intrigue and doggerel.

MarionCole · 11/05/2010 13:47

Love Prezza.

CatIsSleepy · 11/05/2010 13:48

he's good value Prescott
