Pondering, and while slightly more optimistic than we once were, still really quite unhappy Lefty thread

Where had we got to? We'd agreed that we all love Cameron, right?

Dammit, let's all have pizza for tea!

The Guardian says there's a sandwich divide between the Tories and LibDems - cheese, chicken, beef or egg for the Tories, tuna or cheese and onion for the LibDems. Now that's what I call a news story.

GetOrfMoiLand · 10/05/2010 15:46

According to Sky there has been a deal made nick clegg, for example, is a twat

I am waiting for BBC to confirm.

HamShine · 10/05/2010 15:47

But no ham and egg? Hmm. Must be a sign.

tacticalfloosy · 10/05/2010 15:47

ttat, have the Grauniad scrutinised the ingredients? presumably British-only ingredients in the Tory sarnies (i approve btw) and disgusting globalised Euro-slurry in the LDs? Tuna indeed - have they NO concern for those votes they lost to the Greens?

Hassled · 10/05/2010 15:48

Who knew that LibDem = Pescatorian?

OP posts:
thetoriesaretoast · 10/05/2010 15:49

The onion worries me too - must put a bit of a damper on them cosying up round the negotiating table.

Bucharest · 10/05/2010 15:49

Am back, after helping dp to do his cv (he's about to lose his jb, hasn't been paid for fvcking March yet )

Just had trouble getting onto my bank website and thought momentarily it was because An Announcement had been made and it was such a boggly one the banks had gone into meltdown and had to close down their websites. (rather less excitingly, it appeared to be my puter blocking pop-ups)

Going to have a quick run into Active convos, but won't be long.

Banning that there poster though would presumably just having her coming back with a myriad of other names. I'm already fairly convinced she's at least 2 people as one in particular always follows her very quickly onto a thread telling everyone else to leave her along. Meh.

Mme Lindt, I'd like to see the bullying thread please? I'm on your FB if you can send it me on a message, or failing that my email is l i s a h j 6 5 at yahoo com.

Bucharest · 10/05/2010 15:54

Forgot to say, we always have pizza delivery on a Monday, it's the only thing that gets us through the whole Monday-ness of it.

DavidHameron · 10/05/2010 15:58

You'll get no sense out of me for days: Mary Portas said I made her laugh

MmeLindt · 10/05/2010 15:58

Bucharest
Have emailed you. Had no idea who you were on FB, lost track of the MNetters. Must do a spreadsheet.

tacticalfloosy · 10/05/2010 15:58

hmm ttat, maybe tis a signal - we're near a deal but no tongues?

MmeLindt · 10/05/2010 16:17

There's no deal yet it seems. Lib Dem education spokesman David Laws says progress has been made in talks between Nick Clegg and the Conservatives, but Lib Dem MPs have "asked for clarification" on some details, such as education funding, fair taxes and voting reform.

From BBC

he Lib Dems haven't rejected the deal out of hand, but they are upping the ante because they think they can squeeze a bit more out of the Conservatives. They've put the ball firmly back in the Tory court, says the BBC News channel's chief political correspondent Laura Kuenssberg.

Beachcomber · 10/05/2010 16:23

Just popping in, nothing helpful to add other than I like that Laura Kuessberg - always has something sensible to say.

I've been noticing how many women are on the BBC news and how good most of them are.

ImSoNotTelling · 10/05/2010 16:23

Just back

This is like brockian ultra-cricket from hitchhikers

much more interesting when you don't know whats going on

MrJustAbout · 10/05/2010 16:26

Never fear all and sundry (especially the sundry), I've been despatced to get red meat and guiness for JustAbout.

Penthesileia · 10/05/2010 16:28

LOL@ Euro-slurry and ultra-cricket.

YES to pizza and wine (now I want some).

Also want coffee and muffins.

Harumph.

Nymphadora · 10/05/2010 16:32

No news then? Ok off to music back in an hour

taffetacat · 10/05/2010 16:36

What would be the very worst time for the announcement for you?

For me it would be Thursday at about 5.15. We are just back from swimming, I am making tea, trying to get DC in the bath, getting fruit and veg from the van and trying to get all out to cricket by 5.45.

So thats when it will be.

PfftThePinkoLeftyDragon · 10/05/2010 16:40

bucharest - I just pretend that Monday is not happening. I do no housework, sit aournd all day and relax, pissing around on mumsnet. I get down to business on Tuesday, happy in the knowledge that I do not have to deal with Monday.

Pizza is sounding appealing. I made a lasagne 3 days ago and it was so fucking big we are still eating it. I can't fave it again. Plus, it has no ham in it.

Can we do something to delay resolution in order to preserve this threaD?

Worst time for me would be Wednesday afternoon when we are at football practice.

Or Thursday when I pick up my parents from the airport.

Have iPhone though, so can check in every so often. Did I mention that the BBC app is good?

taffetacat · 10/05/2010 16:56

no tongues
fumbling spurned
Nick playing hard to get

thetoriesaretoast · 10/05/2010 16:58
