But what happened on the councils.

Read an interesting article yesterday that the MP thing was just a big distraction from the real prize - control of Dagenham council and it's budget. Winning would allow racist policies in schools and all sorts.

But they got 1305 votes in my constituency. Won't be able to stop myself giving the hard stare to a few people in the playground this afternoon....

Did you see what Nick Griffin said? Apparently, in his constituency, where he lost badly, he says that the "high turnout" of voters worked against him. Un F@?@?>@? believable.

I would say that the fact he's an obnoxious, racist twat worked against him

I said on another thread that, for me, this result was almost more important than the election as a whole.

I was scared to see that the BNP got 1004 votes in my constituency, especially as Labour only got 7944 and LibDems 9887. (Having said that the Conservatives had a huge majority with 24,300.)

That's quite a significant proportion of our local population that think the BNP is worth voting for

Half a million people voted BNP....that's a scary number of people
